what's going on everyone Chris from pick dogs.com here with your free pick in the Pittsburgh Pirates versus Cincinnati Reds Major League Baseball matchup going down Saturday August 24th 2024 just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you're subscribed to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets the games that I love including my daily $19 best bet head on over to picd dogs.com and click the premium picks tab at the top of the page but let's get to this one between the Pittsburgh Pirates and the cincin Reds the Pittsburgh Pirates sending out Jake Woodford for the start in this one while the Cincinnati Reds no starter confirmed the time this video is being recorded last time we saw Andrew Abbott start as he is slated to on Friday it was followed up by a bullpen game um so we'll have to see if that ends up being the case but like I said what we do know is that Jake Woodford is getting the start here and Woodford hasn't been terrible since coming back from the the injured list for the most part um but he wasn't very good against the Seattle Mariners seven runs allowed five earned two home runs allow nine hits with four strikeouts over four Innings of work in a loss and uh you know now he's 0 and5 with a 6.67 erra this season across 27 Innings of work um but I do think that Woodford could put together a solid outing here against the Cincinnati Reds team that against right-handed pitching over the last couple weeks you know hasn't really been anything to write home about their bottom 10 in baseball and team Ops they're hitting just 23 they have a 28.8% strikeout rate which is the highest in baseball over that two week stretch so I think they could have some issues here now it'll be interesting to see who the uh the Cincinnati Reds throw out here um but I do think Cincinnati could have a solid outing from whoever gets the start here or if it does end up being a bullpen game the Cincinnati Reds have just a bullpen ra that in the last two weeks is just outside the top 10 in baseball with an erra just over three as a unit and I think that they can like I said have a solid start here the Pittsburgh Pirates in the last two weeks have the best Bullpen ran baseball themselves at a one .77 staff ER right so I'm I'm not you know overly induced with either offense in this matchup the Pirates if they're facing a righty you know they're only hitting 227 against right-handed pitching they have a worse team Ops number than the Cincinnati Reds like I said I'm not all that high on this match up to begin with their strikeout rates over 27% so for me I think this boils down to you know even if it's not the greatest pitching match up on paper two offenses that can be wildly inconsistent that can be hard to trust and I think this could end up being a game that's kind of an under the radar under for the game here so I'm going to go with the under between the Reds and the Pirates and that's going to be my free pick but just a reminder if you haven't already make sure you're subscribed to our Channel and smash that thumbs up and if you're looking for my Best Bets you can find those are pck dogs premium why are your pick dogs check out our betting tools they're 100% free they're the best betting tools in the business and tools that you want to make sure that you have in your back pocket when you're making your Best Bets for the day's action thanks for watching see you guys soon
