hi everyone it's Fitz with the daily delivery kind of awkwardly positioned here in the stands at yulman Stadium yulman Stadium here in New Orleans K State gets the win as you know uh but there's some things they have to fix today I'm going to talk about what's wrong with number two why why isn't Avery Johnson looking like Avery Johnson But first you reminder please subscribe to this YouTube channel hit the thumbs up leave those comments appreciate it so very much as we travel with the cats wherever they go this season it's going to be a busy year a lot of long road trips and boy this wasn't an easy one to watch uh every Johnson is not himself right now it's a little concerning um I think his confidence has been dented in his ability to throw the ball which honestly in practice this isn't an issue and uh I I don't think he's comfortable with maybe how he's being pass protected he's got pressure on him quite a bit I know that's troubling to him uh but biggest thing is and I mentioned this on my postgame talk my power talk he looks scared to get hit that's not Avery Johnson Avery Johnson's Fearless Runner and he just doesn't seem to have the same gidy up decisiveness that you need and I I'm going to just say this and this is pure speculation on my part I think the coaches have spent so much time talking about importance of keeping him healthy and not getting him injured that he's not playing his football he's not doing what he does uh and he's got to get back to that kimman mentioned coach kimman mentioned they got to carve out an identity and that identity uh needs to be a big play offense I'm sorry I I don't think this is a ground and pound offense right now DJ giddens does a good job but you know what uh he he just only got into the open one time in this game it was just over and over repeated hammering with him he's a great receiver uh when they call upon him uh but uh they need to use that but not be the focus and I really believe they need to get the ball down field a little bit more they're not letting Avery play Avery Johnson football it baffles me to be real honest because ay's got so many skill sets and an ability to play at a really high level um and he's just being very cautious right now and I feel like the coaches are being very cautious you know um I think Conor Eary mentioned this on Thursday when we talked to him that you felt like they were playing not to lose instead of playing to win in the first half they did that in this game too this team's got to come out and assert itself if if you want to win games in the Big 12 you can't be messing around letting a team that you should be beating either hang around at halftime or lead at halftime as tane did in this game 20 to 10 at halftime they held to land to seven points in the second half and you know put up their own chunk of of you know 24 points in the second half so that was good but man Arizona's not going to let you come back like that uh and neither will a lot of lot of teams in this conference this team has got to assert itself Avery Johnson needs to get back to what Avery Johnson does and the coaches need to just let him play quit telling him you know save yourself don't get hurt just let him play um and yeah I agree it might put him at risk but by protecting him you're you're going to protect your ability to win a game to you got to let him be Avery and let him do his thing and once he does I think this team's going to be pretty good
