I'm your co-host bro Vos with me it's not Peter Parker it's another spider spider how we doing mate oh absolutely good yeah great I think it's been a uh a great week I I really start to enjoy like I think there's always been a you know around the big freeze and you know Neil danaher and MMD and you know M neuron disease and you know not a lot of people have heard or done much about it until you know affects uh you know one of our own community in Neil danur and look just looking back and I just think this is uh one of the great causes we stand up to throughout the year we know we we do breast cancer every year but you know this is just matching it at the moment I think there's no better scene at the MCG on you know on the King's birthday on Monday when you see two teams Melbourne and Collingwood we know Callingwood fans how you know fanatical they can be and how paral and you know they have their but you know what I love is when you've got two teams they've all got the different jerseys on they're yelling and screaming but they've all got a beanie that represents that they're all still United I think that's one of the great scenes of AFL footy into you in modern day footy oh absolutely mate and you see it it's just a sea of blue and or light blue and dark blue and yes Neil lost his ability to speak now but just seeing that smile like come across his face it just lightens up everyone and it's great to see it's another one of those SC where football just unites Australia all as one and and it's not just the big games you go down to local level now and everyone's wearing these M andd beanies and it's really just captivated a nation all for a great cause yeah well you would have seen it luckily yourself you so many clubs now doing the big frees I've seen it on the Gold Coast and even during the week you know the Gold Coast Suns did their one and it was great you know look and it's hard when you're you're not m a part of you know Collingwood or Melbourne and you're not a part of that tradition and trying to get involved and yeah you can buy the beanie and support but to actually you know during the week we had the go Coast Sons we had Ian Hy who was uh you know one of Australia's great cricketers Alli day who you know one of our great Iron Men uh we had uh T Tammy Hambra who's influenc here on the go Coast we had a couple of local news readers and we all uh did the dunk and then you had the footy boys kicking the ball at the Target to try and dunk us all so I just I found a great it was a good way for not only the go coio as a team to be involved but also the community to get behind it as well raising money and feel like we're doing our little bit to be able to help the bigger picture which is obviously on uh you know the King's birthday weekend and well done for yourself for getting involved with it mate was it uh a little bit chilly oh yeah yeah it was but you know what we do cheat it's a it's the big freeze it's kind of the the big kind of freeze nice and warm here in on the go co cuz the hardest thing was yeah we got dunked in and they chucked ice in the water but um you know as soon as you get out it's like it's nice weather 22° it's like so we kind of it is half cheating but yeah it was just it was just great to see the whole club behind it and pull it together and you know if they played you know the weekend game here they'd probably do it at the game but you know not having the game they still got behind and supported it and it's not just Gold Coast a lot of clubs are doing at the moment as well and I enjoyed he got Sammy Barry down there obviously not known to be the best kick in the and he's lined up and just run up and hit the buzzer and dunk yeah that was a good thing they can say okay who do you want and I you I I want kingy I backed you for so many goals this year and you've let me down so and he sprayed the first one so that was hilarious and then uh yeah Barry come and did uh did dimmer so you know the whole the whole the whole team was was there watching and a part of it so I felt that you know really special for the Suns really special for you know them to yeah cuz a lot of these players wouldn't know yeah they know danur but to be able to then go back to the history of the footy club and you know know that he's been battling this for you know since he was diagnosed 2013 and normally a diagnosis of uh MMD only is 27 months so he's done a remarkable effort and it just um yeah and it even like you know we talk about the big freze on the Monday how good is it like you know ever ever since Nick rewal walked out as Freddy Mercury and now they've started to make it a a fun entertaining event everybody's costumes under wraps they come out do a little bit of music or whatever and they've made it into something bigger which is uh even better yeah can't wait to touch on that game a little bit later in the show but going to jump into last week's games before we move on too much further kick it off with Thursday night footy and it was Colton coming down to south Australia and taking care of Port ADL in this one 107 to 71 and in my opinion I actually think the score on probably flattered put well flattered put adade in this one it's Calton just dominated from start to finish just a bit it was it was you know you've got to start taking Caron serious I know we talk about this every week when do you start taking carton serious and I think B portay there convincing convincingly in the last quarter I think they end up kicking six six ball goals you out just blew them blew them out of the park and uh you know you you're a big fan of Welsh and it'll be interesting to see where he's tracking on the brown low because like he's been the main man you know you talk about Crips you talk about KERO Mai and these guys but him and then D's been fantastic as well so kind of you you look at that and you P had a couple of injuries but you know they're real two Batman that you sit there and go you know what we built our side we got our backman you talked to Ken you speak you hear Ken hinley before the game and they just got teed up they just got beaten around the stoppages and couldn't match them yeah I think they're probably broke even around the stoppages but anytime Port went forward it just looked like getting repelled straight out of there again Charlie Dixon couldn't get anywhere near it whereas Charlie at the other end was was clunking everything and then Todd Marshall um you look at him you know he beats up a lot on the likes of North Melbourne and and the lower teams and so often you hate to say it but he comes up against the Colton or even the crows in a high pressure game in those showdowns or Callingwood at the MCG and they're nowhere to be seen and took Mitch georgis obviously coming back from a knee Recon this year four goal one he was the only target who looked like you know scoring goals in that 450 for him and that's a hard thing isn't it you know they they sit there and they say okay we got a great fall line okay let's put put all our time and effort into our defensive line they get that right and even though they they probably lowered their colors on the weekend you know Charlie Dixon's the the the big question for me is that you know like you kind of ask where he is you look at Tex Walker and you understand with his age and you I think you know he's had an unbelievable year last year but Charlie's never really set the place on fire for a long period of time yeah he would do it for a game here and a game there and you think yep that's what he can do but he won't consistently do it from for weeks in weeks out and come finals time I don't think he's one of those players you can really rely on no and the amount of times he just can't get consistency to his game because uh I understand they're trying to manage him but I don't think it's doing good cuz he's sort of one in you know he's in for one out for the next two he's for one and a big fell like that I think he actually needs that you know those games under his belt but he just his body's not letting him do it at the moment yeah well you know what you got to get your body right is it better off taking six months off you know that old theory of taking 12 months off get your body right come back and have a couple of couple of really good years because yeah at the moment when we're seeing him struggle like he struggled with his knee struggled to turn struggle to move when he's up and about they're such more dominant but you know then you look at Sydney they get rid of yeah look at them and look at them so it's a it's a question for Port now it is now Friday night footy it was Western Bulldogs 1510 100 defeating Collingwood 12182 but AR can The Bookies listen to our podcast cuz Collingwood opened up a $170 favorite to the Bulldog $210 we said Bulldogs are good money I and you know by the time the Bulls shown up this would have switched it had switched exactly mate yeah oh no doubt I know they listen I know Tristan that's only top sport I know the other Zone in as well because you're right it was I found it the better of the day and a lot of people said oh there's a couple of bets there even though I didn't get a lot of tips right this weekend I got the right ones um because colinwood had nine injuries yeah Bulldogs had seven but colinwood had some really big injuries here who would you prefer though when you when you see the bond turn it on like that you see the first half you think day cost is absolutely due for another three votes Y and then you see the bond and you see how damaging he can be and what he does with the footy you've got to go the bond I hope he got you three he did it was it was three to B two to deos and then daylight to the rest but in saying that Adam tror 37 possessions thought he was great as well but yeah like you said bonon P I think when he gets it um deos has really improved his contested game this year which has really impressed me but when Bonelli plays like that he needs five minutes you know deos will grind you down over the course of a game but Bond just needs that five minutes doesn't he yep oh that goal like he's just a freak that goalie kick from the boundary of 3540 out it's like you know he's just one of the great players of all time and you know the greatest player not to win a Browner I think you can nearly argue that every day of the week so yeah it was a good win by the doggies and uh you know just still keeps this season alive but for me you know Collingwood they they got to start I don't know we still with just right in Midway of the season but you want to start getting your troops back you want to be you know trying to hit that Peak form come you know early August you don't want to be scraping into say seventh or eighth spot and having a play away from home especially if it's against an interstate team like a gws or someone who might finish fifth or just outside the four you don't want to be going up there to play them if you finish seventh or eighth absolutely not and that that's the that's the scary thing about it is that you've just yeah you need to win yeah you you want to get early wins on the board and at the moment the PES just can't do it just want to touch on in this game Sam Darcy obviously had an absolutely shocking first quarter probably one of the worst first quarters gave away 50 there was obviously that um report which we'll we'll touch on him and Harley Reed a little bit later in the show but to come back and play just an unbelievable game it takes so much maturity for a young kid you've had a horrible first quarter you've got that report sitting in the back of your head and he come out Aron he played probably the three best quarters of his young career so far I agree I I actually found that a bit inspir you pretty inspirational really because he could have thrown in the tow you saw him on the bench talking to the coach down the line he's nodding his head he's having a bit of a yak beos at the other end and 100% any kid to throw you know most old guys like if that was um you know a couple of other players uh they would have thrown in the tower that would have been it you might as well sit them on the bench you might as well him out to be honest yet he come back and helped him win the game like that goal that he kicked around yeah kicked the sealer did what he had to do and um you know just that report and I know we'll talk about the Harley re one later on so we'll get to those because what a weekend for the rising star made a fair few bookies pretty happy I think but going to move on to the next game Hawthorne 6 107 defeating Adela 12880 and I'm absolutely sick of the Hawks mate I tip them and they look I tip against them and they win and just like that ADL season is done yep well Sam Mitchell he's just done a great job isn't he a lot of people even in the first couple of weeks I was caught with a few people the other day and they said you know what we've played Hawthorne early in the year and we thought they're in trouble they're going to be right down the bottom and they've just rebounded they're beating good sides and they're beating them convincingly yeah and all they're doing is they're all just playing their role a team effort you can't just say this guy's playing great you know from their backs to the leads to the forwards they're just doing what they need to do and we know Hawthorne's been doing that for a long period of time that's how Sam Mitchell played his footy so it's a great effort but I think the question to come out of this one here is AD alide you know I I don't think there's a side above I look at the ladder and I just think probably Brisbane is the bottom marker of playing finals yeah yeah it's so close now between third and and 10th just about but then after that it's quite a pretty big drop off um once you say that but I've sort of been going through and looked at the 2023 stats compared to this year just trying to find out where Adelaide have dropped off in this one and I've looked looked up in 2024 and Adelaide are actually number one four hit outs so far this season so they've got 40 or 50 more hit outs than any other club but they've only won four the clearance battle in four out of their 12 games so obviously the rman of the Midfield aren't talking they're not looking out after each other they're not protecting each other they're not hitting to the right areas because disconnect yeah cuz then if you start looking at other oppositions like you know Port Adela you know who who I think would be pretty high the Suns would be pretty high as well um you know these kind of teams who have a good connection well that's just yeah that's that's a good stat because if the balls you know they always say there's two there's three phases of the game they've got the ball you've got the ball the ball's in dispute so if the ball's in as like any Center bounce or any any clearance situation you you handle it but you're not clearing it communication issue for sure yeah and since Rankin's gone out crows have just been beaten up on the inside which you never really would have Associated that with Isaac Ranken you know a couple years ago well that and you know I know we kind of pick our teams as well for all Australian or Victoria versus South Australia even though he's injured he's right up there yeah yeah and that's and that goes on in import as well oh yeah exactly and just want to touch on the Hawks um I hate the games like this and the so much of the games get looked at as a team that lost I think we really need to praise up the Hawks in this one and yeah you look at their young mid at their young Midfield and a lot of them are goal kickers you know you're going to have will day in there young McKenzie and I just love what these Hawks side are building um they goal kicking midfielders they got you know three or four swingmen who can go back or forward depending on matchups and that is exciting you just want to tune in and watch them well the thing is too I the thing I like about him it doesn't matter who they come up against they don't take a backward step they haven't got you know a named Midfield like some of the great midfields but they sit there and go you know what we've still got exactly what you've got we're all here for a reason so let's put him let's put them to the challenge let's put them to the sword Sam Mitchell was always good at knowing the opposition so all of their players who who are playing swing plays midfield forward back they would know and most players do but hawthor would really dive into knowing exactly what their players are capable of how they can beat them yeah now next game and H you must be pretty happy with this one it was s 1210 82 just dragging themselves over the line over West Coast 10868 Saints finally get a win but Harley raid still gets a headlines no matter what he does good or bad he's just box office and I'm like I'm sick of the Saints too cuz every time I tip them they lose every time I don't tip them they win so I tip West Coast wi in my favor I thought you little Ripper but yeah look the Saints they were lucky too they lucky know you know Waterman pulled out and then suddenly you sit there and go okay that's great that gives him a great opportunity if he played they probably would have lost yeah that's that's reality um they end up getting just over the line did enough but um yeah hly Road just stiff yeah just yeah was it there yes it is dumb yeah but it's in that Heat of the Moment that kind of football you know it's it's pretty weird when you look at it isn't it was he in his eighth or seventh or eighth game of AFL football in halftime he was clearly the best player on the ground and Ross lion has to send marus windhager to him and after that you can understand he's never he's obviously would have been tagged in his Junior footy but being tagged in in senior AFL footy compared to Junior footy I mean and Marcus windhager he's done it to liks of Loy Neil and that and to cop that you could tell is getting frustrated and you know he's going to the umpires a little bit and it was just frustration that's all it was to to Darcy Wilson and he's he's a young kid and at the moment probably West Coast's most important player and he's under more pressure than anyone else in the AFL right now so there's a lot of people jumping on him but I think times like this we just have to sit back and just enjoy the show yeah yeah I agree and it's it's always hard when you know this time of the year you know two years ago or 12 months ago he still wouldn't have got weeks yeah yeah it's this it's this thing you know like you can go through the history of you know players missing out on you know Awards because of whatever the Highlight was that year in the way of coping weeks so really disappointed for him because you know he is by far the best player in the competition at that age level so yeah a tough one to swallow but finally the Saints get a win Rossy gets back with a bit of a bit of a smile and we we go again we going to get sof cuddly Ross back maybe but just uh want to ask you this so obviously Max King went off uh with a bit of an injury concern and I don't know if it was just me but Saints then suddenly looked like this fast attacking side because they knew they didn't have this big tool target they can just bomb it to they moved it quickly and Mason wood I mean he was outstanding got a touch on him if you're a good Winger you play your best games at Opus on those Wide Wings but Saints suddenly just looked like the super attacking site and that's this is a hard you know like they they actually you know there was speculation you know early in the days that they wanted to get the other king yeah yeah and Benny King's doing well at the Suns we're leading the goal kicking at the moment but and that's right it's it's like how do you do that even with kinging the team yeah because he they tell you should be moving the ball the whole time yeah and King's in there and then they've got enough crumbers and midfielders but it's so hard because kingy against you know any of the four WS absolutely can hold his own but why does it it's just that mental game of how does that turn around when you when key is in or out it should be exactly the same you sit there and go why if that's the case just going [ __ ] you guys yeah yeah yeah absolutely there's nothing there's nothing worse and it's like when if you get dropped and then they start doing exactly or you're injured and they start doing exactly what you've been asking to do for the last three weeks it's like where was this so he'd be frustrated more than anybody because yeah we know forwards like to get it in quick so yeah I yeah it would be interesting to see I would love to be in a team meeting and see what the outcome was and what the Saints said about that yeah it it' have to be just oh I just loved just seeing him play that exciting brand of footing they banged on four goals in about 10 minutes going to move on to the next game though jalong survived a bit of a scare in this one 5999 running over the top of Richmond in the last half 10969 very there would been a Fair few nervous cats fans at halime but um unfortunate to see young Mel Tila go down with an ACL he's been probably one of the stories of the Season obviously coming from New Zealand playing football and uh he's probably been their best forward this year too yeah well he was uh getting his hand on it he's a big unit he's got Firs like tree trunks he's a massive man but yeah and that's sad like as you say guy from New Zealand got his chance making the most of it doing everything right and just and there wasn't much in it either like he just come down and you his knee just bent backwards but you know that and curvis was very very good for the tiges um you know but you know those two goals from OE Dempsey right before the Hal time just just like that pretty much I think that that's the only thing that kept them in it Ari and Richmond could have won if that those two goals weren't kicked you know they just had to hold on for that extra 3 minutes and it would have made a huge difference so they tough the tiges but they were more competitive I think they've been good for about a month of footy now oh you look at their list and for the team that they're playing with every single week to go down to the cats yes they haven't been playing the best footy but 30 points we up at halftime amazing effort and it's a lot of their key midfielders that they without at the moment like um they won the hit outs what was it uh 58 to 27 on the weekend and then lost the clearances 45 to 38 so when you don't have your best midfielders in there you're going to get teared up and a great effort by by the tigers and um yeah jalong just sometimes you just have to grind out a dirty wind to get that to get that momentum back and the hardest thing here is and I know yeah we'll talk about Dusty a little later on because obviously they've pulled the pin on in this weekend uh what your thoughts on on that is but yeah look the cats aren't traveling that well that that's the hardest thing yeah Tiger's still you still talking Jong along so it's still a a great effort but um you know the cats what that tells me is they've still got to get get a few back as well yeah cuz they they need to be better better than this to be playing finals and to be playing you know making a you dent in the finals but they are sitting you they're sitting third so they're still going all right they just need to there the good thing about is they don't have to rush back their Stars yeah cats six seven weeks ago though win win that by 15 goals now the next game which we actually labeled the game of the round freem manal 22941 229 141 defeated Melbourne 7749 and right before this game David King had killed free man with the most boring side in the AFL so uh really yeah he reckons yep boring game plan you you wouldn't watch a freem manal game does he watch his own shows and he he also him and Kan K said The Rock The Rock uh um Joo of Darcy and Jackson will get pumped by gone and yeah well that didn't really happen too well but yeah amazing two blocks that spend 24/7 on football because the most opposite thing that's ever happened in football but this game here I found really fascinating Steven may he looked like a a firste player he was getting thrown around and raged all by a couple of 20-y olds and just go to show the importance of Jake lever with him yeah this is what I love it and you know it was a and I've tipped against Freeman most of the year and they've proved me wrong each and every week as well but they they're an exciting team they run they use L the footy they you they kick long they they they you have a real good crack and you you've mentioned before how you know they how diverse their Midfield is and now they got options up forward who are actually taking marks kicking straight kicking goals and with a two Ruckman it makes a massive difference as soon as you put one of those tools down forward you're dragging one of your major bman and then suddenly you know then the second goes to um you know the next toall and Miss yeah and it just continues on but Melbourne to be absolutely dominated and they say oh yeah it's a bit jewy it's this and that they're perfect conditions you cannot blame the conditions there at um at Ella Springs over the weekend so the hardest thing I think for Melbourne is yeah they're still it's just so hot and cold I've I've never seen them so hot and cold they've been like that for a couple of years but this year more so that that they no we near what well do we overrate them do we rap Melbourne do we think that you know Jack lever and Steven May is Steven May getting a little bit on you you seen him a couple of weeks ago when you know the broken ribs and he he took like 10 contested marks and you know Clayton Oliver you know the track I think the track still performing but you know all those other players alongside on the outside do they need a couple of changes so I'm under the firm belief and I have been for a long time that your star backman is only as good as the second best bman in your side so you look when when Callingwood lost a few of their big names from from their defense Darcy Moore looked completely lost down back the all Australian captain of last year looked completely lost and then you look at Gold Coast when Charlie Ballard goes out the side um all of a sudden M Andrew can look a little bit lost same as St kilder Cal Wilkey goes out and then their backline gets lost so all of the best backman in the AFL when they lose their second in char all of a sudden you know they just don't seem up to their or up to their usual standard so it's that partnership you need the relationship the love between the two big bman that needs to yeah you're right because it's true because Steve may and L they just they know how each other operate they look at each other they don't even need to they just know how everyone works so it's a it is absolutely a uh a good point and you know same thing going forward like if your forwards aren't getting near it either you know if they're inconsistent you're small and Tall fours like even they Midfield I don't think Clayton Oliver and you know you start looking on the outside like d does his job but you know like we say you can't have two blocks doing the job each and every week col would have trying to do the same with you know the day CPS yeah yeah you can't have it you know when you look at Sydney or you look at freem manal you look at their best and you don't know who it's going to be each week yeah yeah yeah and and it's I think it's the same with kton is it going to be Crips to S up this week Harry MC Charlie kerno s weering like it's you got to have depth of stars and they're not getting the most from Paka and Oliver have probably been down this year compared to their usual output but last game of the round Gold Coast 14791 defeating the bombers 11480 suns are quickly no matter where they play their home games it's a bit of a fortress at the moment but uh just a work out their away games dominated through the Midfield Anderson R Miller and Flanders um one young fellow I was really impressed with in this match was uh young bod uland the round 12 Rising Star winner yeah he was he's uh you know a local kid up here I think they've got a lot of locals now on their list so you know they've done a really really good job and it BR br's been a bit hit on Miss over the last couple of weeks and it's good to see that you know he got the four quarters together still I think um you know MC Andrew is a star in this side you know they just absolutely love him got a gun Midfield and kingy up forward starting to hold him and kick goals which is vital as well the coaches his back forward but you know the bombers had him on the ropes the first 10 minutes if the bombers had kicked straight it could have been a different story pretty early so they kicked a few points and they didn't they they they ran away with the last quarter but I think what gets me most here and you know you talk about you know football in different states and how difficult it can be you know there's 21,000 there which is I know 's one of the big four teams but up here are they there was still a lot of sun supporters there so have 21,000 4:00 on a Sunday afternoon without a public holiday the next day it's a good crowd yeah there's a good crowd up here and I just thought you know their success is starting to pay off people are starting to go through in a few weeks they've got Collingwood and their biggest fear is that it will be a sell out there's no doubt but it'll be mostly Callingwood supporters you Sun's supporters won't be able to get tick get because they know how fanatical Collingwood supporters are so yeah look even though Meritt Martin you know the bombers did all the right things but you know I just think the Suns have got a lot of depth a lot of character a lot of run yeah and one guy we need to touch on he's come to the side probably halfway through the season this year and he provides so much pressure as a forward and often he he does that negative role he'll take the best backman he did it to Tom Stewart a few weeks ago shut him down but Ben long it was great to see him get on the end pick for himself but just love what he brings to that Sun's forward line it's a pressure it's a tackling it's a bumping it's a little bit of niggly [ __ ] that you just love to see yeah well they got uh is it Rosa Jor that's out as well so who normally brings that and Long's been out to get his opportunity but he's a well they lost Jack Martin and Jack Martin was one of those kind of players um and there you've got long coming and been able to absolutely do it so yeah you need those exciting forwards small forwards you don't know what's going to happen they're going to bring something he's an Isaac R he can nearly go in the Midfield and run forward you know I think you know he's only just starting out but you know that could be a role because we know how exciting he can be you know going forward so they've got so many options at the moment and they got half a dozen really good experienced players sitting in the twos but as we all say this is all great at home it's got to try and get those win on the road winds on the road so another big challenge for him on the weekend yeah and just want to touch on one young fell I'm a big fan of his no Jared Wht and Ned Moy really impressed with not only his Ru work but his ability to start clunk him around the ground and those you know those kickouts from fullback they're looking for him and if he's not marking it he's bringing bringing it to ground in the likes of TK Miller Anderson and ra then sweeping at his feet I think he won a league best and ferish in the vfl or it was definitely a club best in fur so he's got the ability to do it he's really struggled at AFL level when he's going up there he's never really had that breakout confidence and you know you always especially if you like that you got Jared sitting in the background you know you're going to be a yo-yo when wit is right you know you're going going out but at the same time I actually thought that was his best game he's had for the Suns he he was as you say he was able to get around the ground he got a couple of kicks some really good marks he started showing us what he could do that you'd expect um after a few games so you know you you no longer see think you know what if wit's gone the mid you they're going to struggle you go you know what they have got a pretty good backup Ruckman now if you play like that each and every week that he's in and also I remember the games he was coming in last year it was often against the bigname teams where wi he wasn't playing and he'd be coming up against the Jackson or Darcy combo and poor fellow's you know in there for his first game in three or four weeks playing AFL level and he's coming up against or or or Big Max G so sometimes he's just put in against the wrong wrong people yeah look wit he just doesn't like playing against a big name so he's really he's really smart that way just pick and choose who I play against keep my stats alive keep my averages up but uh yeah no you're right and that makes it always hard yeah definitely now going to move into overreaction or spot on kicking off with the biggest story in football this week the AFL needs to scrap the fairest option from the end of season awards you shouldn't miss out on a rising star or a brown low medal for minor indiscretions striking completely different but minor IND indiscretions or footy acts shouldn't be uh you shouldn't be missing out on the rising St of the brown LW look it's always hard and I think because depending what's they reset and launch launch to make finals from here um I've ticked both of them so it kind of confuses me which what I'm going for but now look I thought the dogs were fantastic last week they did have a lot of injuries they had seven injuries they were playing a team that had nine injuries so what's the quality when you get an oppositions at full at at pretty much full strength I think that's the answer Aron the Lions should be able to get the job done here the Bulldogs even though they're Brave and they've been competitive they lose actually and I know we we spoke about him a little bit earlier but um Sam Dary he hasn't been just good for one week he's been really good for a long period a good month of football he's a good vocal point he can get up the ground he can take marks he takes marks in front of goal I think he's been averaging a couple of goals at least I think he kicked four a few weeks ago as well so you know like he's probably the Vocal Point still no Norton so for me oric and the Lions have got enough yeah I got agree with that one I think four Bulldogs to win Rory lob has to play a really good game of footy and I don't trust Rory L to do that the way he's playing right now oh look I'm not a I had quite a few different hairstyles back in the day but what's he trying to do is that silver or it's it's not good no like look I can't be too critical when you've got dreadlocks and blood dreadlocks and I had blue hair or green hair but I don't know the silver hair we l you want to be kicking goals that's what you want to be doing if you've got silver end with the obviously contracts got changed halfway through they probably got him for unders as to if you if you're going to do it for three years and then four years and another three years they probably got him for unders yeah oh absolutely and it was a the risky take and you know really that play paid for itself in the first year or two with the amount of marketing and jumpers and everything they sold so yeah no yeah congratulations you get a long a long deal you take it exactly right now Saturday uh Saturday afternoon West Coast versus North Melbourne at opta Stadium no Harley Reed do North Melbourne oh sorry will North Melbourne have a better chance of winning a game this season than this one no this is it this is I think they play I think we've gone around I think they play West Coast later on in the year as well because we always said you know there was odds on there Will North Bel Go the whole year without getting a win and we said well they play Richmond and then they play Richmond beat him and then they play West Coast and they play West Coast again so um but without Harley at home you know probably the one later on in the year when it's in Mel might give him more of a chance but you know the Eagles are up and about the Eagles are running okay so Harley Reed would be a big dent for him but we saw him play a few weeks ago without Harley and they were still able to get the be competitive so I think they got too much too much now I think especially if Waterman comes back in you know they got a key big forward North Melbourne you know defensively they play well but they just can't get ball forward and kicking enough goals so yeah I I think the Eagles at home yeah I I look at I've been comparing Hawthorne and North Melbourne for a long time and I look at the Midfield of Hawthorne right now and they're so young they're actually younger than the North Melbourne Midfield and they're getting forward they're kicking goals and they just look so exciting whereas the North Melbourne you take ldu out of it and who might not even be there next year and you go well who's that guy in there you know who's going to break a game open if you haven't signed a contract now you're not going to be there next year y especially if you're North Melbourne yeah yeah that's what I mean if you're playing for north melban and you haven't committed to give the team a lift throughout the year you're not committing you're you're seeing what else other opportunities are out there and you know fair enough I don't I don't dis feel discomforted against players especially when you know it's going to be a long Road and yeah this is your career this is what you want to do you want to play in finals you want to win premierships and you want to be known and uh winning away from home this year mate how do you see this one going well you know I'm super excited I really wanted to get to this game I'll go and watch the Saints next week against Brisbane but um I want to get down CU I this would be a cracking game this would be a good game the Saints and you you saw it there without King and he's out he won't play this weekend so will they move the ball a lot quicker a lot Freer will they start then using their run and see what they can do will it be high scoring and make every fan fall off their chair I don't know we because that's what the Suns do the Suns will kick high scores they will run they'll use the footy and you know I same as the dogs and lions I had both of these sides ticked and I'm a Saints fan and I'd love the Saints to win but I think what the sun's been able to do over the last month I'm going to stick with the Suns I just I like what they're doing you know even you know just they've got enough that defensively we've spoken about every part of their game and I just think they've got enough yeah on the road's going to make it tough Marble's going to T make it tough but the long the longer you go without a win the closer the next one is surely and I just think they just got to get that one win away from home and that hudo is broken and then you see one win becomes two away from home and then oh what hudo so they've just got to get that that first win away from home and I think they've got a great opportunity this week they're all playing well and it's just that until they do it yeah there's always that doubt that's going to sit in the back of your mind and I'm I'm tipping the Suns this week I'm backing to do it I think it was smart by them last week give wit he a week off and he'll be coming back in against R Marshall we know how dominant Marshall can be but um witz is just so strong Marshall's not going to be able to throw him to the ground like he does to the to a lot of the Ruckman um Suns for middle there's so many options that you just can't cover them all yeah I look at this one and jalong the probably one weak point this year has been their their rocks and their Midfield like that's probably been their weakest link and that's Sydney's strongest so I absolutely expect Sydney to beat him up on the middle or in the Midfield this week and wouldn't be surprised you probably penelene Warner and uh and Heeney for two goals each yeah and we know that you know the scg it's really it's a difficult game to it's a difficult ground to play if you don't know it because you come out of the middle quick kick suddenly you're 35 M out where normally you be the top of the 50 so it it just it does upset everyone because you restructure you're Senter half forwards not worth anything yeah because it's they're not in positions and you watch The way Sydney set up compared to other teams and yeah you do your homework but it doesn't matter you know we can still see when GRS have got the skinny ground they still kick it out on the FL because they're just not used to it yeah and it's no different decides going up there so yeah Sydney for me now Sunday night love this Sunday night fixture with the long weekend it's I think Melbourne's buzzing with this one it's it's been so long since idan's been in the top four Colton versus Idan at the MCG there's a great feeling around both sides at the moment yes the bombers got beaten last week but Gold Coast away the top four side I'm really looking forward to seeing how these two go up oh how these two match up and if ESS didn't beat Colton they're making finals I'm saying it right now well I reckon if Caron be e same thing I if because the bombers the bombers are sitting second so Caron's fifth so you're sitting there top two top five teams and I think we've underes like the bombers have been good been good who they played we saw him get fan out not get faned out but suns are always hard to beat at home but for cartton to go to Port and smash Port out beat don't beat him but they beat him convincingly and then you come back and they should take care of ESS and all think pretty easy I just think Carlton it's time not to underestimate him anymore you got to give him credit where credit's due and they are saying when you look at them on paper and how they're playing footy at the moment I think you've got to take cartton they've got two big two big forwards they Midfield as we say they they control stoppages they love the stoppage situation and the defensive side back in the team really straightens them up really gives them that run you know what you just they're just all playing they're just doing their job yeah I I find it you take care of Zack Merritt um you know also you know couple the yeah package um you know two me pet had been a little bit up and down so you kind of sit there and go they haven't got anything real consistent going they've won games but I think Caron are much more I think they're a better team I think if you look at kton side they've just got too many weapons on paper and if one doesn't stand up if Harry mcy doesn't stand up usually you see a great game from Charlie kerno and if Charlie kerno is getting shut down usually you see Harry mcy stand up and be best on ground and a matchup I'm looking forward to seeing this week finally they've never played against each other which is so hard to believe the the MC twins Ben and Harry yeah for so long there been rumors that that they're the same person they've never been in the same room with each other they've never back at times just to play the role Harry can get up the ground so they're so versatile than they were they're not structured as a full forward Center half forward anymore they're more than that you know years last year we were complaining they couldn't play on the same team together yeah and now we're saying we want another two of them well I think getting Harry MC outside and his kickings just changed completely in they're competing they're both competing when the ball hits a deck compared to a lot of other key forwards I think around the comp is you seeing both busting packs that throwing medal at what would you be front and square just what watching I'm a huge huge basketball fan I would love nothing better than to beat the American basketball team who think they're all this and
