all right what is going on everyone Welcome to our uh Monday little addition of Monday Night Football with the week one of Monday night uh our first Monday night game coming up this uh tonight I should say between the Jets and the 49ers um just me and AC are going to dive into a little bit of this game what we like in our official picks for it I know we kind of talked about a little bit back uh when we recorded the podcast last week obviously this game was you know 6 days 5 days away it's obviously a little bit easier to talk about at the morning of um so we have 8:00 kickoff the Jets are heading to San Francisco to take on the 49ers 49ers a four-point favorite over under at 43 and a half 49ers money line minus 210 and the Jets now up to plus 170 which way are you leaning on this game I mean I think if you guys followed along last year you know exactly which way I'm leaning probably going to be leaning on that one heavily throughout the year and that's the same Francisco 49ers Kyle Shanahan and Christian mcaffry get it done I know there's a lot of other names on that roster I could list them all off for you on offense and defense um out there in the Bay Area but I'm looking forward to this one like I've been saying all weekend the schedule makers blessed us with another great Prime Time matchup we've just had great football so far this year my Patriots get a win yesterday you're Steelers um we've been doing great on the cards too but Hoff what are you thinking in this uh this Prime Time matchup is it going to be a good one like the Sunday night was last last night Friday night and Thursday night work I'm I'm thinking it will hang right with those as a is a good game the four-point spread kind of scares me um I look at this kind of game like if the Jets are going to keep it close I think the Jets could truly win this game um I think I would either take the 49ers with the points or the Jets to win the game I don't think there's much value in the Jets plus the four um I just don't see a situation where they only lose this game by three or less I would just take him to win the game plus 170 you get a little bit of value on it am I going to be taking that no what I did lock in I did it on Friday night with the two running backs with Jacobs and Barkley I took Bree Hall first team touchdown scorer and mcaffrey first team touchdown scorer just hoping one of those running backs can find Pay Dirt early or both of them that'd be great I got plus 290 on Bree Hall on MGM and it was plus 200 on mcaffrey um I had a 15% boost so I beted at plus 230 yeah those are crazy low odds compared to some of the other running backs I got blessed starting it off with the new toys we talked about those teams really using the new running backs High caught it in the Chiefs Ravens game when Derrick Henry scored the first touchdown and hit any time in first saquon Barkley did it for the Philadelphia Eagles I would like to think a running back does it again here but that value isn't too great to me might stay away I'd like them on the anytime but their odds there are pretty tough too um it's going to be a tough one to predict with that there's a lot of Ms de feed Brock py and Aaron Rogers both have some good weapons Mike Williams and Garrett Wilson along with Tai Conlin who I think has a Revival season with Aaron Rogers at the home then Brock pie we know has mcaffry but he also has KD auk and Debo that they can feed in that offense too so that's going to be a tough one to predict for me um this is one of the harder games on the Slate of course we get it on Monday Night Football um but I think the big storyline here is going to be Aaron Rogers how's he going to play starting off you know he missed that whole season last year One play into his Jets career he's out for the year do you think we saw what cousins looked like yesterday in the similar situation coming back from the leg injury Achilles whatever you want to call it and cousins looked like I mean he couldn't get rid of that ball fast enough he didn't not want to take hits he did not want to move around in the pocket he was like a statue back there and I think that's what cost the Falcons that game I mean Steelers didn't even score a touchdown but I'm looking for Rogers I'm looking for Rogers to have a little bit better of a performance obviously it was more just of a comparison in the in the injuries sake but cousins didn't look good does that lead you to think that you know Rogers can do it he's that much better like people forget he was regressing his last year in Green Bay like it wasn't just oh Prime Time NFL uh you know three time many time MVP is his last year in Green Bay that was the year they didn't make the playoffs Lions kicked him out at the end uh he kind of went out like last throw I think was an interception as a packer that killed the game um I I I've never been a huge Rogers guy maybe I have a little bit uh something against him because he beat my Steelers in the Super Bowl but I I've never been too big on him I do think this Jets team will be decent am I buying into the stock that everyone's Super Bowl Super Bowl AFC Championship no um do I think they'll be competitive tonight I do I like these two props I'm probably G to stay away from a side on the game yeah you think you're gonna card both those uh is that going to be your plays you think or you I I don't know I don't know if I'm going to card them no I'm not as I'm not confident more more enough just trying to get some action in for for me to have some entertainment on the night if I do end up carding something I might look at uh maybe my first half under it's so low that's what scares me with these two teams two great defenses is Rogers going to start slow that could play into effect with that first half on um I haven't really dove in too much to to what I would be betting on this I just saw these two odds maccaffrey first normal like normal first touchdown I saw plus 350 I was like all right if I can get first team at plus 230 I don't care if the Jets score or not I'll both of them yeah yeah I I actually love that earlier then I regressed my take earlier I thought you were saying you taking first touchdown overall but with a first team you got to take at least one of the running backs do it that's what I mean I think one of them will get it yeah that's a good point and you're more than a two to value so you're going to make money but talking about that Rogers point you brought up a great point with Kurt Cousins and he was in a similar situation as Rogers is walking into too you're going up against a really tough pass rush did you see how often TJ watt was in Kirk cousin's back pocket yesterday a few of those plays called off because of a penalty or it could have been a lot worse to a day for Kirk um now you got Nick Bosa and the rest of that 49ers defense coming after you I think he's going to be in the same situation he had maybe a lesser o line and a lesser defense in Atlanta but that's the thing you got to think about with Rogers and the Jets how good does he really have to be to have success with this team I mean last year they were holding people to some very low scores one of the top defense of the NFL one of the top rosters on paper if he can just be a solidified game manager and making a little bit of Rogers magic then the sky's the limit but I I've got to see what he looks like coming off of injury with this new team I think the Jets will implode like they always do jets gonna jet um I don't know if it's tonight or later in the season but I think this is Robert Sol's last season as the head coach and uh I don't know what that bodess well for the fut I just for some reason already see the headlines like Mike Greenberg's a huge jet guy I can see myself turning on ESPN tomorrow morning oh Jets beat the 49ers are they are they going straight to the Super Bowl is this the best team in the AFC it's like there's going to be so many overreactions if the Jets win this game I leaning more towards them winning it but I'm also the 49ers hater here but I I'm not going to bet it because I'm not going to let my personal bias come into the way of you know making money and making a pick on a game I'm going to stick with the props uh possibly that first half under I was looking at that as well um not a Jets fan in any case of the the you know what I mean I get what you're saying and I'm I'm right with you was in the props and not taking side this literally reminds me of that Ravens Chiefs match up we had on Thursday I I just could see this game go either way like truly either way it's literally that that Ravens Chiefs matchup it's do you trust a really good team but does week one really matter to the 49ers like to that's what we're saying about the Chiefs that's the only reason I think none of us CED the Chiefs we're like they can drop week one and still win the NFC and still not even care yeah yeah so that's why it's it's a tough spot I don't know if I'm going to go with the side either if you had to give me a money line pick on a side I'm go with the Niners I'm going to lean them because they're at home a lot less question marks um a lot less Spotlight on them because we all know they're going to be good either way and if mcaffry is a full go that makes me even more confident I know you had that questionable tag but I'd still fire him up if you got him in fantasy meanwhile Rogers and the rest of the group a lot of questions I think Garrett Wilson has a big game I'm going to look at his reception prop I know that he has a great connection with um Aaron Rogers and there's nothing I was looking at I was looking at Rogers under passing yards kind of leaning into what we were saying I liked Wilson uh over catches I forget what I saw he's gonna have a lot of short catches first down chain mover um maybe a lot of carries by Bree Hall as well I think those two are going to be heavily involved in the offense I think Ty Conlin's gonna have a uh he's gonna be a sleeper pick in this game tonight because he's one of those guys Rogers will make him good you know I mean doesn't need to be like a decent last year too in limited action with Zack Wilson so it it'll be around a little bit where was he before I want to say he was in Minnesota at some point I was going to say Minnesota that's what I was thinking too yeah I I know he's been on a few different teams but those tight ends they're just gonna they're so big let me look at his his career stats but that those tight ends they're just good they're just good uh Target Hogs so it's like yeah you don't need for five yards and you know third and two and you can get you five yards like doesn't have to be Travis Kelsey to get five yards like these tight ends now they're so big they're so hard to tackle if you if they can catch you have a good tight end let me see his career stats um jets yeah Minnesota Minnesota all the way through to the Jets Minnesota to the Jets okay okay I thought he was with the Jets and then left the Jets and now he's back with the Jets yeah Minnesota for from 18 to 21 and then he's been with the Jets since 22 okay so he had 60 in in his last three seasons 60 catches 58 60 so he's going to be valid and with Rogers he should be only better I was going to say none of those are with a legit quarterback great touchdown value on him too I don't think either of us are going to play it but watch him score a touchdown we're gonna be like we know it what is it plus like 450 he might be higher than that let me go take a look no that might be a good line but imagine him with a first touchdown you're getting some good odds there a lot of people I think are going to be on this Jets plus 180 but I'll look at first you look at any time yeah first is 22 to one I'll shop the odds to on the BET stamp also we use bet stamp to shop our best odds you guys should be too if you're looking conin on mgm's plus 375 so I bet like best price is going to be what I said like 450 plus 400 yeah best price so definitely shop that around I think that's not a bad uh Dart throw at least but it's not going to be our locks let me mean 20 bucks pays returns 100 almost 100 returns 100 yeah um let me look at this Garrett Wilson prop real quick cuz I have a feeling this might end up on my card is his reception you said you'd like that too it's at 5 and a half at minus 13 IUS 130 yeah on five and a half or you can stretch it to six and a half and you're getting plus 140 i' probably do the I'd probably do the five and a half because just because I feel like that when they set those numbers I'm like you know something I don't know yeah you average three a half if you're going over five and a half and one thing to look at too though I will tell you this play with your odds well if you guys noticed yesterday on my card all nine plays were plus money every single one went seven and too if you go 500 on your plus money plays you'll be fine probably a lot of my my prime time cards have been anytime touchdown scores two at plus odds um ended up cashing with that Montgomery walkoff last night for the line yeah that was crazy I was asleep I didn't even see that game I woke up and saw that yeah actually what what did Cup score the one to take the lead Lions kick the field go to tie and then Montgomery W in overtime correct the the Rams didn't even touch the ball in overtime it looked like the Rams defense was just tired and they bully balled it with M Montgomery all the way down the field from the kickoff I don't did you hear what Collinsworth was saying on that game what during overtime I I was asleep but I saw this on Instagram today it was a clip of Collinsworth talking during the Lions drive and it was like first first and 10 from the from the ram 16 in overtime and cins was like not taking out Montgomery no he literally goes he goes uh and you got to wonder here are they gonna just try to line up their kicker and kick it and and everyone like all the comments are like this guy gets paid $30 million it's talk about football and he doesn't even know the rules but do you blame him the rules for the overtime period are so crazy and they change from regular season to playoffs too that's nuts to me I think both teams should get a chance to touch the ball no matter what I I think they should just do what they do in the playoffs but they don't want the games to be that long so that's the only reasoning but that's stupid isn't it like what if football implemented like a they would never do this and I would not want it but I just thought of this off the top of my head like a shootout like a shootout in hockey but like it's like each each each kicker does a 20 yard field goal I hit you hit we go back to the 30 I hit you hit we go back to the 40 and you just keep going till someone misses a crazy kick you'd get everybody complaining about that like they do the shick even more than they already do but it was it was a good start to the NFL season there with that one thing I will tell you last night is when puuka n got knocked out of the game I was all over those live coer cup reception and yardage props what happened with that I have him in fantasy and I missed that too is he done for the year no they're undergoing tests on him I think he'll be back he might be out one to three weeks is my guess but we got to hear the official word on it um but cooper cooper cup is officially back he looked yeah and the one those nice was right when he got knocked out his his over reception prop was sitting at like seven and a half slam that his yards were at like 85 and a half slam that and he goes over 100 with 10 plus I was say he had like 100 in the touchdown yeah and in that touchdown cash for me it was great last two touchdowns of the game cup and Montgomery caching Rams in full control they scored 17 on points last night in that game that's something to take into account those Detroit Lions remember this for the future going forward second half W was continue to end their season last year they had that big lead on the Niners that they blew almost blew on last night in the home opener to a pretty weak Rams team in my opinion um I know that Stafford and McVey are going to will them to more success than they should have but the roster on paper isn't anything they're right home about no I agree I definitely agree with that but we'll have our official plays out tonight we've been doing well on the book you guys got to stay stay yeah I was gonna say make sure make sure you get the post notifications on don't miss any of these plays going out um like we said um we're all three of us are positive Macky
