Spring Storm Threatens Heavy Rain and 10 cm of Snow for Ontario

well we've got special weather statements for much of Southern Ontario for the influx of rain heavy at times and the risk of thunderstorms across parts of Southern Ontario very Bluster winds that could lead to power outages and with cold air to the north that will be pushing Southward we'll see a transition over from rain to snow now the winds are one of the big factors here that will be quite Gusty out of the East for us and peeking through the evening hours across much of the region you can see those gusts anywhere from 60 to 80 plus kilm per hour now as we continue through our Tuesday afternoon you see there through Southwestern ontar to Niagara that's where we could pick up some rain heavier times with the risk of those thunderstorms there heading into the evening hours wh spread rain across much of the greater Toronto area into our Wednesday morning and then through the day on Wednesday into the afternoon we could be looking at some rain heavy at times so there is the risk for pooling and ponding some localized flooding there but now we're starting to see hints as we progress through Wednesday evening Wednesday night of Colder air coming in transitioning over to wet snow across the region and some areas could pick up some significant accumulations that rainfall around the 401 Corridor to Niagara fora the 60 millim of rainfall but much of Southern Ontario in the range of 20 30 maybe even 50 millim of rain and then once we head up into Cottage Country alonquin toward banro perhaps 30 cm of snowfall D do Highlands for us were in that range of about 5 to 15 cm of snow much of Southern Ontario a couple of cenm of snowfall but not sticking in the Toronto [Music] area
