[Music] [Music] [Music] n what's up East Oregon this is Dody with the EO live sports and and here here we are uh Andrew Peasley um on Tuesday you sent out a message on social media declaring for the draft uh how'd you come to that decision uh just spend in college football for a long time I'm technically out of Eligibility but you know I just wanted to let everyone know that I plan on continuing my journey try to keep improving and make a team so yeah I mean you you had by far your best uh College season this year 20 touchdowns uh I think you ran for another seven 400 and something yards running almost 2,000 passing uh some big wins like the last time I saw you was boisey State and you know obviously that's not as happy of a time as right now but um uh this last season for you at Wyoming was really good yeah it was a good season uh first nine- win season since I think like 90 six for Wyoming so you know we had some made some good history this year and we had some fun wins yeah beat numerous rank teams including Texas Tech at the time uh let me see Fresno State at the time who else was I think that's it yeah but still I mean two two good ranked wins um for you personally this year you say you're out of Eligibility wouldn't you get one more year for covid n this is my this is my sixth year of college oh okay so in the NCAA you can only have so I did a red shirt and then my co year already so this year was technically my co year so you are completely out of out of Eligibility that was one of the questions that people asked in the comments like doesn't he have one more year at college and I didn't think so I think we've talked about this before um for for you getting ready for the draft what does that mean like what are you doing right now uh literally just training uh lifting running and throwing so I there's six events at the pro day um the 225 bench uh vertical jump broad jump 40 510 shuttle and the L drill I think I said all of them but I'm just I'm doing all of them besides the uh 225 bench so my training is just really based around you know on those specific drills to get the best times I can and then you know throwing m multiple times a week and getting with my receivers so yeah are you working with a specific coach uh I'm working for my strength stuff I'm just working with my head straight guy here uh coachi is his name and uh but for throwing wise I'm probably gonna meet up with some people you know I've talked to Jordan love uh going down to Cali work with him um some other QB trainers I might get around just to you know get some knowledge yeah now Jordan love he's NFL quarterback he was your teammate at Utah State one year right your F your first year at Utah State or two uh two years yeah okay so two years so you have that connection with with an NFL quarterback um for for as far as preparing do you think you're gonna have you taken the wonderlick test are you going to the what the wonderlick test is that the IQ test yeah yeah uh we did like a it was like a mini one yeah yeah and yeah I don't know I don't know they didn't give us our scores back okay so I'll for sure be taking it yeah but um yeah what about uh what about Wyoming are they hosting a pro day for you yep the pro day is March 19th here so March 19th at what time o I think 800 am it starts okay and and will there'll be like access to that like will it be streamed or I do not know honestly it might be um it might not be I'm not sure keep in touch that that way we can you know the people around here will be able to watch it um what about your your your head coach coach bull uh this was his last year talk a little bit about him and and what he's meant to you in your your career yeah obviously um I transferred to Wyoming so it's kind of a fast recruiting process but um you know he is really good to me he's a very traditional coach um I mean I could he offered me a scholarship I committed and then I met him in person so like that was kind of weird yeah so a different approach to recruiting and stuff but you know we got along really well he's old school guy um you know Blue Collar mindset and so yeah I fit into the program very well so yeah does I mean he he kind of reminds me of like a coach that would come from this area you know what I mean like he's like one of those you know old dudes that I I took a picture of him at boisey State and it's one of the favorite pictures I've ever taken because it just reminds me of like old school like football like buddy Ryan on the sidelines um so you're you're going into the draft that's April 25th through the 27th so obviously I mean you're gonna pursue this even if you don't get drafted you're gonna try to get signed somewhere absolutely uh and you know my expectations of getting drafted aren't very high obviously I don't think I have a d high draft uh projection which is fine um a lot of my friends and old teammates that are in the league right now never got drafted yeah absolutely you know I'll get my opportunity with a rookie camp or you know just a little workout or something so yeah just just the right coach sees you at the right time and they need you it's it's Brock pie or you know what I mean like the possibilities are endless um and this is a very heavy heavy quarterback draft class like sure there's a lot of quarterbacks in this class crazy I think has a lot to do with covid because we're right at the very end you know end of it y a lot of dudes have pushed their eligibility so let's talk about uh your college career a little bit um what was your favorite memory was it the Thanksgiving game oh that was one of my favorites for sure yeah um you know that was my first real start uh in football and so I would say that one and probably Texas Tech uh and laramy that was probably my favorite most fun game I've been around just the excitement of it you know we were at home too the crowd was crazy and then just an overtime double overtime win it was really fun that was probably my favorite memory all right the quote take them to the deep end of the pool where did that come from you said that after the uh Texas Tech game where did it come from uh Coach B oh it is okay so it's one of his saying yeah well he didn't say it a lot but he said during that week when we were getting ready you know if we take him to the deep end you know they'll sink they'll fold whatever he kept saying it over and over again and that was kind of our motto for that game so do you you you have a few teammates that are uh have declared for the draft too do you know how many what is there about five of you I think eight eight eight eight guys off of this Wyoming team that have declared for the draft um with with you you were second Team all conference this year which I mean that that that in its own in a in a tough confence conference th it's a good your resume is there I mean now we just got to find a place for you right yep yep just gotta you know be patient and take my chances and see what happens so I mean I think the last time I interviewed you we were talking about uh the every kid's dream to be on Sports Center top 10 and that was that had happened that week and now we're talking about another one of every kid's dream and that's signing that n contract yeah absolutely crazy thought about it since I was a kid um yeah you know I just it's kind of surreal to just be in the uh I don't know process of it so it's exciting and I'm gonna have fun doing it so yeah awesome well I mean I know everybody around here is super proud of you anytime I post anything anytime I say anything about you on any of my shows uh people just re there's the response is just through the roof all the time your picture hangs in the barber shop I mean it's just I I see your dad all the time he's always got Wyoming gear on and it's just you know it's it's it's a good thing for this small town to have somebody in your position it really is yeah well thank you and you know I just want to say thank you to everyone in the grant uh I've always felt the support from them and you know the Observer is always hitting me up for interviews just to get it out there and because I know people care and I care about you know the community I grew up in too so I love it and and eventually you're going to return here one day I mean at least if your plans are still the same as they was a couple years ago yeah we'll see uh I have no idea to be honest with you so we'll see yeah yeah awesome well I appreciate it Andrew uh good luck let's let's get an NFL
