got a lot of stuff to get to but you said driving in the crazy rain oh my God you're looking at a mad dude right now I am mad and and it's been a few hours so I've settled down but so you know I've inherited my brother's dog my brother's going through some medical stuff and and uh you know I I want to help out and so I've taken on beautiful about seven-year-old female dog Penny big strong I mean nothing but one big muscle sweet girl love her to death so obviously I've had her a couple weeks here and uh I go ahead and square away a vet appointment you know want to get her in get her caught up my brother obviously um has having some trouble you know keeping up with himself much less his dog so you know that's what family does and I'm excited I'm a dog lover now love me some uh dogs so set up the vet appointment and going to where she's gone before but I want to move one there's a there's a branch closer to me but they told me I had to go to the wests side location first uh and then we can transfer to the Beach's location and the Beach's location doesn't always have a doctor on hand okay long story long story longer so I've set this appointment for Monday today 10 days ago right closest time they had man I want to get her in and get her squared away and and start treating this and you know getting her shots updated so this place I I won't say the name the vet they've been great man about starting about a week ago hey just confirming you're seven days out with your appointment hey three days ago hey could you text us are you still on for Monday the 5th for your appointment Patrick they even sent me a text yesterday on Sunday hey this is the vet confirming you're 11:30 with penny at our place little much but okay can you why or n yes or no you're confirming I wed it yesterday Patrick I load it up now I'm in mport and I'm going all the way to the wests side location because that's where she's been treated they said the first time you need to kind of go over there and then they can release bla I don't know Patrick they've been great they've walked me through uh reminders and text messaging it's about what a 45 minute drive for you it it's you know without anything bad without anything bad it's 30- minute drive good between 30 and 45 minutes yeah right there it's a good chunk of your day though it is I mean you know load my dog up it's raining drive across the bridge blah blah blah I pull up there's not a soul in the parking lot I get there at 11: for 11:30 I left early wasn't sure how much traffic I was going run to Patrick not a car not a nothing sign says clothes I'm like what in the world so I sit there I said okay well maybe they're just doing lunch meetings and you know they're just going to service my point was 11:30 Patrick Patrick I sit there for 10 minutes another couple people pull up and they're basically stood up as well I call nobody answers inside there's not a soul inside I called the other Branch they have three branches one's down at the beach really close to me they open up hey how you doing I say yeah um I'm supposed to be at this other loc I'm sitting at the other location are they closed she goes hold on let me yeah yeah uh we're owned by the same people but you know we kind of do our own thing they're they went ahead and closed today for the uh for the weather Patrick I need a new vet I'm firing my vet before I get started I'm not gonna lie that's that's that's pretty bad oh don't like it so I need to vet quickly in the beaches area my daughter who uh just got out of the field you know she was a vet tech for five years and just got out of it she she uh she came home about six weeks ago and said Dad I think I'm burn out a little bit and that that field can be a little stressful as you can imagine everything's not Rover and the family dog you you you deal with some tough stuff as a Vette Tech so she's recommended one or two near me but just uh that's the way I get my Monday started Pat Monday I'm not a fan I'm not happy for you on that one gosh I knew I knew this was gonna be a day of not doing much uh but man when you got a plan like that that's kind of that's tough yeah um okay let's get started why my head is so zoomed in you got a bck head Patrick head that's not untrue but we back up a little bit there you go if I back up even more I'm gonna be like oh so far away from my laptop yeah I don't know first world problems Patrick first world problems all right man let's start off with um gosh darn it darn it darn it the injury bug has started to hit some of our local teams uh the gator suffer a running back injury Montreal Johnson it's interesting we're going to get into this and then Wednesday we'll talk with Dr Bates from Southeast Orthopedic Specialist Patrick some of the wording I think if you read between some of the lines some of the wording I'm and this is nothing that I've got to back it up but some of the wording I don't think it's real serious we'll get to that Montreal Johnson had a procedure done uh looks like on his knee um and then locally here um Dewey the safety for the Jags Dey when yeah he uh he might be out for a little while now he's a backup depth guy so it's not a I don't think it's a huge I don't think they they counted on him to start and play you know 600 snaps this year but um it's that time of year man Notre Dame just had a terrible injury over the weekend oh no they have uh they're start Notre Dame's um two tackles from last year are both in the NFL Joe alt was a huge pick I mean he was a top 10 pick I think Joe Al from Notre Dame great player the backup guy who actually played in the bowl game because alt opted out um blew his Peck blew out his PE Toral done for the year they also had a safety go out so uh I tell you Patrick it it it's hold your breath season every year these three weeks in Camp and I much rather tear a peck than tear a lower extremity muscle though yeah yeah but boy that PE is one of those that Peck the times I've heard of athletes having the torn pectoral muscle it's like the Achilles you're you're done there's kind of a sort of you're done for a season it appears yeah I didn't realize it I mean I get I guess yeah because if you want to get back to playing like probably the muscle and everything well and I'm speculating asking we ask Dr BS on Wednesday the muscle probably heals yeah after two to three months after procedure but being as strong as it was and being able to load manage yeah I'm sure that takes a long time would I'm sure I'm sure you're immobilized yeah where you're well where that muscle they don't want you to stretch it at all and then you got to get that range of motion back and then you got to strengthen it and you know you think about the pectoral muscles obviously two of them those are big thick muscles those are big muscles so to tear those and I guess it's always kind of you get pulled back kind of is that how you tear them I guess I would think so some type of like hyper extension extension like that yeah but to tear through that that thickness I will'll ask Dr Bass but I got to believe the pec muscle is as thick of as any muscle probably in the human body I mean that's a big thick muscle to tear that's got to be serious Force doesn't it Patrick oh yeah oh maybe you know getting caught off guard or getting overpowered yeah I would think maybe even like extending with your arms forward but someone maybe someone just like overpowered him yeah and pushed through him in that gotten it too or you know you see these linemen and uh this is a common injury for these big linemen they they kind of engage you'll see these big linemen and they'll engage and they're going at it you know mono imano they're going at it and all of a sudden somebody shoots the gap on their right or left right and I think it's just kind of natural to stick your arm out there and boom this guy's going full speed oh yeah you don't want to do that and that's that's you know you're either getting a holding penalty or I mean it's not very you know obviously yeah common that that you te your peack as much but yeah you see those guys they they know know they're beat and they got to try and slow a guy down and get that holding pen because yeah I mean I much rather get a holding penalty even tear my own Peck then that the court because the season's over once QB one's gone yeah you're right pretty much it really is there are some exceptions here or there but if you're start at Big Time College Andor the NFL if your starting clearcut quarterback goes down there are examples where a miracle happened but your season's pretty much over one in one in I mean and even and even if you know you got the guy from uh Jake Browning last year and then Joe Flack I mean they had yeah really good overall time but can they maintain and even the guy that took over for Daniel Jones last year that had the uh really crazy looking agent what was his name oh yeah I know oh then uh because then he got in trouble we about like a yeah a speaking engagement or an appearance and they were going to give him 5,000 oh now that I'm famous I need 20 and you know was that guy I remember that well what a terrible uh thing to put out there on your image are you in a are you in a snuggie is that one of those Christmas Snuggies you got working there no I just got a sheet around me Stay classy Patrick Stay classy it's just a sheet man leave me alone Stay classy uh Patrick young my dog is back here just hogging up the bed don't hurt your dog anymore remember you had your dog yelping the other day you got to remind me of that that was so sad that was bad um so anyway so anyway we'll we'll get it to Montel Johnson and the natural first thing to ask or or bring up is my goodness it wouldn't suck to have t uh etn still on the gator lineup right oh my God it wouldn't stink and and who knows if he stayed in Gainesville he might not have had a situation and everybody would have been happy but it's interesting the way they phrased it it sounded like I'm not positive Patrick this kind of broke on Friday with Montreal Johnson I I can't tell after reading a bunch of accounts did is this a new mild injury that just happened like Friday and he went into to have they call it a procedure they're not even calling it surgery and they've listed him as week to week so all that kind of says mild is this something that was lingering Patrick that he's had kind of just a a I bet I bet that's exactly what it was something that been lingering and then it just was getting better and you want to nip it in the blood like there's is there enough time for him to well that's actually you know it makes me even think Terry you know if this was something that they're like okay you're eventually gonna have to get this procedure and Miss let's just say a month in your recovery time now doesn't seem like the right time if it's like it should have been like you know a month ago yeah and I get it the patient actually should have all the say in consultation with their Doc and their surgeon but I I don't know I think it's all going to come out but was this something that you know post orange and blue game back in April uh you know I got a little tweak here it's not a big deal a surgeon may say well you know you could have it cleaned up now or maybe it doesn't need to be cleaned up and maybe it just got a little worse and uh but the timing is a little I think the timing is Odd as you just pointed out the with with the words they're using right with the word if they said if they said he tore this Friday slipping or making a cut and he's had a procedure they would probably said surgery right you know they don't even and they wouldn't even have to tell us how it happened but yeah it could be even you know there was there was I know like savir wheeler he played basketball for Kentucky two years ago right and he had a procedure on his glute or something like that and they want to keep it under WS I don't know why or how it happened but you know it's it was to to the discretion of that athlete to not so maybe it's hopefully something that's uh not going to affect his athletic yeah ability but uh either way the fact that he should be able to come back and play the season it's just like you know almost terar to to a you know looking Silver Lining hey man he's not going to have to go through that crazy three week two two and a half three weeks of training camp so maybe you know it could be a blessing in Disguise so we're sitting here I'm just doing some quick math today's what the 5ifth Florida opens with Miami on the 31st what is that 26th days which is just under four weeks and if they're calling it week to week 31 31st is when Florida Miami kicks it off um but if they're calling it week to week uh well yeah nice yeah well Patrick you see I host this sport show that that leans pretty heavy with college football and the Gators are one of the yes I'm going to Florida Miami more tell me more hell hell we're going to gam so Monday yeah today I can't wait for that by the way but getting back to Montreal Johnson 26 days which is just under four weeks they're calling it a procedure they're saying week to week I also think you know if he doesn't do anything for the next three weeks is conditioning but you got to believe he's pretty Peak right now I mean you got to believe the last month or two you've been going pretty hard you got to believe he was running obviously killing in the weight room all summer so if it's only two or three weeks you gotta believe he's he's not going to be way behind the eight ball wouldn't you think right yeah no I I think uh you know he's probably is in that Peak shape right now and you know they they find a way these string coaches find a way to get you to do something yeah you know whether whether he's only going to have to do like an arm bike or a leg bike or or something they find a way to get you yeah still um you know at least staying locked in mentally to the goal because it is kind of you know mentally taxing when you're you want to be out there you know he's a football player he wants to go out there and perform but this is a major you know it is a blow as a question mark for sure it's definitely a blow it's definitely a blow for Florida don't forget don't forget who Montell Johnson is don't forget where he's come from and don't forget What offense he's played in for years I mean he followed apier from Louisiana right he knows that offense he's been a he's he's one of the number without ever being down there for a practice with this group of players you can't tell me he's not one of their leaders he knows this offense in and out he's probably the best running back that they've had in a long time that picks up um in pass protection um it it's not a good thing I don't care who might step in and I also wonder will Eugene Wilson get a few carries if Montreal doesn't go particularly against Miami um the kid ba who looks so good um in the orange and blue game the big thick kid from Georgia true freshman he looks so good um Daniels down there I wonder though I would wonder if um Trey Wilson if Montreal doesn't give you anything against Miami you got to build something where Trey Wilson I think is in that back field and and you handed him the ball four or five times oh man he's gonna have a good good year I saw uh some highlights on their social social media and he he mossed his DB so man that that dude he's just small man that's that's the only KN because I would like to compare him I'm trying to think think of his NFL comparison and because when when you when you're were talking about switching it up yeah he could be he could be a sweep guy he could be a Jet Sweep guy but I just worry about his side look Debo's big a big wide receiver yeah and he still gets banged up coming around for those sweet plays that they run um you know I wouldn't mind I wouldn't mind seeing him if needed yes he's done some jet sweeps before he did he used to do that a lot in the first quarter last year and then he would disappear with a tweak but I know right I if if MJ is not going against Miami I I I'm building in if I'm running the offense a I'm trying to throw him the ball because he's a damn good receiver uh B I'm doing jet sweeps a couple one or two and C I'm not so sure I'm not letting him dot the eye a couple times with a fullback in front of him or just a a a a shotgun snap underneath I'm getting him the ball a lot I'm not going to lie Terry D maybe we can start thinking about mixing in some DJ lagway some read option some read option you know put put a defensive team on their toes when you know that the quarterback is yeah looking for his run as well as handing the ball off having it does cause this is a cause of concern for Coach Napier to as the OC coaching OC to think about that you know you know what is he going to do you know just to consider I think you should think of all options yeah because you also something happens merts and DJ has to step in with not out of stud running back you just got to be prepared there's so much now all now all of a sudden if B gets the uh the bulk of the carry you know web's down there the kid from Trinity's down there but ball looks so good um are you comfortable say 20 of your offensive snaps against Miami being true freshman quarterback DJ lagway in the shotgun with the running back on his hip true freshman Jaden ball with the lights on and a huge inate game well I feel like I feel like DJ lagway I feel like he's made for the moment yeah um that he he would rise to the occasion I don't know about anybody else because yeah you're right man in the swamp that game like now on the F on the flip side unless something happens and I hope nothing does on the other side wearing the orange and green cam Ward will be taking shotgun snaps who's played a ton of football at that level and the Oregon State running back that transferred in Martinez was about a400 yard big time running back that transferred to Miami so that's right that'd be a tough little one too there coaches poll um Olympic fatigue yet Patrick I don't watch a lot of the Olympics but I I'm starting to and I guess the closing ceremonies come up Sunday um I guess most things will end on Saturday probably start winding down but do you have Olympic fatigue yet yes yes but I did watch I watched a little bit today just because the the track and field the fast events were yesterday and today yeah um what a finish in the 100 men that was I mean you feel like I don't want to disrespect Noah ly he won but don't you feel like you need to hand out like three almost gold medals to the other three the Jamaican guy oh like I thought he I had thought he got it and you know I feel bad for him because you know obviously those guys when you're sprinting like that you're giving a 100% you know they're giving 110% and to be in the lead he was in the lead up until that last yeah thousandth of a second and what is the deal there's a lot of obviously it's all over social Med media the the the finish and the steel photography there's a lot of misinformation out there because if you look at some of it some of their their shoe tips their toes yeah are touching but the way it's if I understand it your torso is what T torso head unlike a horse you know a horse the nose the horse can you know it it can be the nose but the human uh determining Factor right in sprinting is the Torso which makes it you can't really stick out your arm and you know stuff like that right and there was a little confusion on who won well L people knew that yeah you can't no I saw I saw a lot of people oh ly didn't win you can clearly see they no you don't it's got to be and and it needs to be the Torso right right I think so head head torso you know yeah but that would even go as far to count the knee like if a knee knee were to pass yeah but man don't you feel obviously ly won and and I'm glad he won but man if you had like six other half gold medals man because it was like 9764 9.76 8 yeah yeah that much and I mean Patrick what a tough you know how the minute you cross that line almost all these sprinters in particular what do they do first they look up at the scoreboard I mean there had to be six guys probably I'm guessing help me on this number there had to be six guys that their first two steps post Finish Line they might have thought they must have thought I at least meddled yeah I might have won this thing but I at least meddled and guess what guess what three four five uh four five six and seven they didn't medal by this much I just wonder because uh you know Noah ly he does the 200 meter that he says that is his that's his main event he said 100 is the one that's he said the 100 is like riding with his left hand he's right-handed and you can do it just got to be more careful got to really get and this right he said two because I watched him do the 200 in a heat and yeah nobody was close wow he's he's like he's like yeah right when I turn that curve that corner on the 200 I know nobody's gonna W like that was something that was something but yeah I'm with you I don't I haven't watched a lot of Olympics but you know these three weeks you can't get away from it I mean it's it's it's consuming and I've got a little fatigue uh have most of the swimming I got swimming fatigue yeah swimming I got swimming fatigue a little bit have most of the Marquee events happen now how about the the cathlon I guess that's that's still out there right I don't know because I you know I haven't seen anah Hol once yeah but that's probably my fault yeah I'm sure it is my fault that I haven't seen her but I know she's the going for gold as the athlete those are those are by far the best athletes overall that's why they call them the reigning Olympic diathlete Champion is considered the greatest athlete in the world all around ath think like I mean gymnastics with gymnastics you know and I'm trying to compare you know you have individuals you got teams um you got all around like when it goes to the track side you know as a hip athlete there's other people you're not the best in each one of those events but you're really good at each one of those events like none of them will be good enough to compete with uh the best long jumper or the best high jumper in in because that's the only thing that they do but you know it's just it's just a little bit different because with jyn there's so many opportunities to get more gold medals medals in general with the Hep athletes only got that one chance that one shot yeah that um that decathlon um the 10 events and the way it got the way it got thought out is really cool because you know it doesn't those 10 events they don't they don't help out any one type of athlete across the board uh if you're a big thick strong dude okay you're going to do the shot put real well and you're going to do the what do they do the hammer throw and stuff but Javelin the javelin but you're gonna struggle in the quick twitch right long the long jump you struggle the high jump long meter long maybe but like they do the steeple chase too right the think they do steeple I don't think that's in there but um but you know and then vice versa out of the steeple chase we're gonna put some water in a one hurdle one hurdle that you have to jump over and a two by4 and or something but but you know on the other side if you go okay I'm going to be a 180 pound quick twitch fast long-legged guy okay you're going to kill it in the 100 meters and the 00 M probably cuz you're 180 lbs but you're going to struggle throwing the shot put and you're going to struggle with the discus right the the 10 the 10 uh activities you have to do are really spread out and it really gives you probably the best athlete yeah Garrett scantling he's a Jacksonville uh almost almost uh medalist uh from from Tokyo he uh he plays fourth and he's like ridiculous man remember his height exact L but he's probably about 63 6'4 and just fit is so fit man like he's gotten the muscle build yeah but you would you wouldn't say that he's a a a heavy thrower and then you wouldn't say that he's a long distance run he's got that build that's right in between you know even those even sprinters short distance sprinters they have a lot of muscle tone he's not that muscular but he's yeah able to do a lot of things really well just man just came up short one like a few Point short of a of a wow all right Patrick here we go coaches football poll came out today I'm gonna go through the top 12 because we're going to play a little fun game if this is how it ended first week of December how about here we go Georgia one Ohio state two Oregon three Texas 4 Alabama five and Old Miss six that's half of your top 12 Notre Dame s bad news for Notre Dame today on the coming out of practice over the weekend with injury Michigan 8 Penn State 9 Florida State 10 Missouri and LSU 11 and 12 wait one second who is give me nine again nine Penn State there's some kind of rule that they always have to be picked in the top 10 right I mean and always they get picking the top 10 and always always finishing the top 10 denn they always disappoint though all right Patrick so here it is laid out the top 12 and if this was the way it ended you would have have for the 12 team playoff right Georgia Ohio State Oregon and Texas would have buys you then would have number five Alabama taken on number 12 LSU in a rematch because they would have played at Baton Rouge on November 9th okay and by the way I'm fine with rematches Let Them Fall where they may the NFL has NFL has their NFL has rematches yeah you would have number six old Miz taking on number 11 Missouri SEC matchup but they did not play in the regular season unless they were have would have played in the uh and they wouldn't have played in this poll the SEC Championship because you'd have been ranked higher you would have number seven Notre Dame against number 10 FSU okay and you would have number eight Michigan number nine Penn State possibly a rematch I number one are you are you okay with rematches and in some cases and Patrick I think this has happened in the NFL before for not a bunch but it's happened in some cases in this type of poll now with this type of playoff you could have three three games between two teams yeah oh no I love it I mean we we have that in it's an NFL it's happened like I can fully admit you know when when when we played Kentucky three times my sophomore year they were a better team like we got better during the season as they did but there was no chance like they had gotten so much better during the season is that right yeah but I think I think our 2014 team would have beaten that Kentucky team or at least out of those three games we would have beaten them at least once even with Anthony Davis who are those who were some of the stars on that Kentucky team two or three that you referenced Anthony Davis have you heard him I've got him Anthony Davis goes from 7 AM to 10:30 pm all right and starting off we got breakfast weigh-in hydration treatment recovery prevention unitos that's at 8:30 staff workout 9:35 full staff meeting 10:30 prep for practice is at 11: lunch is at 12 12:45 uh is Game Changers punt block something with the Special Teams I'm glad good to see that good to see that yay um unit position again 11 um I don't know what they have numbers at the back of these I'm not sure if these numbers mean the number of players that are going to be out there but that's regardless 145 team meeting walkth through dress uh gcw walk don't know what that is but it's something shell drills is that 230 secure don't know what that means but it's something that needs securing probably the football they're probably hitting the football probably then media at 4:45 dinner dinner's at 5 staff film review at 5:30 6 PM they're doing some more recovery stuff 7:30 speaker Patrick young 8:15 game changers again 8 830 unit position 9:15 secure again let's figure that out I'm gonna I'm GNA find out what that means we got find out I don't think it's football at 9:5 9:30 snack and then 10:30 curfew and share location so they gotta this is um this is a day in the life of Florida's three-week Camp yeah that's a day in the life yep and uh I think this year for the first time they're staying in one of the dorms normally they go to a hotel right around the corner you kind of get away but wow you think you're tired by 10:30 you think you're ready to Rack out man where's where's like nap time you know get these guys gota they're getting in early are they lifting weights here as much weigh in recovery prevention no I'm not saying Patrick you would think you would think hey man you would think knock on wood with that kind of schedule for three weeks you're too tired to go out and get in any trouble anywhere oh for sure you don't have any you don't have any free time either but just think you know do you remember do you remember the bubble with the NBA 2020 yeah so obviously they had to go down to Disney and they had the bubble and they had one rule don't invite any Outsiders while during this time that is and there was a guy that did it yep at the cost of chasing a woman he got kicked out and probably is not in the NBA anymore yeah and yeah this is the time where those guys you know think about your future you know I'll guarantee there's some girlfriends that aren't happy next three weeks rather better to have an unhappy girlfriend than to mess up your chances to Chas achieve your dreams main NFL you're right name in Gator history Gator football history and you have spoken to the group or is that your itinerary when you go down you want gonna be August 13th that's gonna be the day after spers oh cool so that oh that's why you're staying too just go and stay night two nights yeah boom like it yeah I wouldn't if I thought I was speaking at 4 and I would time you speak driven home 7:30 okay and shame in a silver medal she did not win the 100 meter gold as she was favored but here she is and I gosh darn I'm not a huge Watcher and even during the qualifying a couple months ago when they put the teams together you know I watched here and there but I did I have seen her story and seen her on television and getting interviewed a million times and I've heard her talk about hey um basically I was wronged this is my Redemption tour and I'm gonna show you know I'm the I saw her a million she wasn't wronged well she broke she broke the rules I think you know and and what was it was it marijuana what was it something minor yeah yeah wrong I I don't believe that marijuana helps your uh yeah performance it's not I don't it's not a performance enhancing drug but it but she and I saw her okay any way you want to cut it I saw her using the television talking about this is my Reclamation a million times different interviews and I'm coming back and I'm this and that well I had a biles in Tokyo they're calling her the goat already like she's already gonna walk into this thing and win it and don't get me wrong she had the capability to do so but the immense amount of pressure like that is just created manufactured not the pressure that's there when you're about to perform that's organic but this was like a manufactured and look I'm never going to say don't take the money you know if if Nike and USA want to put you on the face in the commercials and the ads because shakeri she's she was on everything every ad every as was ly and many others and I'm just like gosh man wow I so disappointed though you're very disappointed if gotta go got go face the press your job you got to face the Press got face I think you do and again I I I've been in locker room settings where a team won a big game and and I'm being a little factious here but I think you get my point a team wins a big game and you the reporter you the cameraman you can't get out of the locker room no no no deep oh should have uh battled LSU came up second Brandon spro one of the ace pitchers for the Gator a couple years ago how about this I mean he is on the door now his last start was double A he struck out 13 batters in double A like two nights ago including get this the last 11 in a row oh wow 11 in a row 13 overall this is double a ball with they say if you're playing a decent double 11 strikeouts in a row he had 13 total and 11 straight to close out the game and he he immediately got promoted to Triple A so he's knocking on the door another Gator arm trying to get into big leagues how about that how about that how about that and you know they say Patrick they say in minor league baseball if you're at a nice solid double because there's different leagues around the country right a procedure Pat and I were talking the first hour and I want your thoughts Brent you've obviously read probably four or five reports as I have and there's still some ambiguity did he get hurt Friday is this a lingering injury from a couple months ago but Brent maybe I'm just happy Gator here reading between some of the words it sounds minor to me they're they're calling it a procedure and they're calling it week to week I don't think you say that with regular surgery surgery what do you make of this yeah I would agree with that I I think he is going to be back for Miami I had the F when I saw that the first thing I thought about was now Terry and I and Pat talked last Wednesday about these bloom early injuries yeah and but it but I mean it looks pretty good yes that he is going to be back 87 yards last year uh so that on on on that way that is good news the awful news of of the the last few days people may miss this but Tennessee lost one of their one one of their secondary Jordan Thomas who is supposed to be a starter he is out for the Year ah so the the so the problem is to your point guys uh is I mean it it these guys have not Tennessee hasn't even been in they had been in Camp a week a week and the guy and the guys already out one one of the guys they were that they were really depending on in the secondary and and and Patrick it happens every year across the board you have you know you've got three weeks of camp and you know you want to go and you want to go hard but you got to hold your you just got to hold your breath man just gota hold your breath yeah just just really hoping that that there's a fine balance between how much you push and how much you walk through and uh I think it's it's especially important for the Freshman obviously to get up to game speed stimulate that um I mean I'm so glad I didn't play football because it can even be you know a guy getting injured going half speed other guy is not going exactly half speed or and just you know catches him in the wrong angle and you know it could be something a tweak you just wonder how much longer traditional training camps are going to happen these even even the even the highlevel college guys they're they're pro athletes they're taking care of their body they they aren't they aren't these power Five Guys they're not putting their football Acumen away in January and not thinking football again until August they football guys around you you wonder I think we're going to have as I said last year last week I coined the phrase I can see classroom training camp becoming more and more prevalent walk through classroom training camp um much more than three weeks of go hard brand I'll tell you who else got hit and this just came out was um man you feel for Notre Dame they had two season ending injuries including their projected starting left tackle and a safety but Brent get get a load of this Joe Al was the star for Notre Dame last year he went in top 10 great lineman think's going to be in the NFL for 15 years both tackles for Notre Dame last year are NFL guys alt is a star okay he is this guy this guy that blew his pectoral and he's out for the year he was alt's backup and he played in the bowl game because alt opted out and he's gone I mean that's just devastating they're down to their yeah and that PE that pec muscle when you rip that thing you're done for a year minimum yeah and look I've heard some nightmares about when that happens in the gym yes what that what that looks like and and I'll since this is a family show I'll save but but I think you can figure out what I'm talking about here but and look the problem is that hurts them because because they've only got a few weeks now they've got A&M uh game day is going to be there yeah um which is going to be a really good game but as Terry mentioned if anybody can afford it as probably Notre Dame as easy as that schedule is yeah their schedule is uh it just timed out this year um and you know Patrick having an easy schedule can be good or bad I mean okay if you've and Notre Dame it just fell this way their schedule on paper look looks terrible I mean terrible now Patrick if if you've got an easy schedule and you win all your games okay yeah that helped us probably if you've got an easy schedule and you drop a couple games I think it bit you right now you know what that lack of strength can really really bite you uh Brit beard um I want to switch gears Patrick we went to break a moment ago and Patrick was saying and boys is cheating up in an arbor boy there's a lot there's a lot of smoke a of smoke um the um what do you call it the the guy that was um sign stealing and all Stallings stalling yeah and and all that stuff is still the head coach now is getting lumped into this is this stuff starting to get serious with Michigan I don't know if if the problem is you're not going to do anything to hor ball I mean that they'll probably give him a um a show calls but he's in the NFL what it really doesn't matter yeah uh is is the problem the the the real problem with this is uh is all the uh U would would be uh their current Coach shiron Moore deleted all these emails text messes and emails Y and again this is your notice of allegation when you're get when you get that they're actually trying to investigate you into what's going on but that the problem is so many of these other assistants were were allegedly uh in on this too how awkward let let me stop you guys yeah think about it if if Chiron Moore the interim now head coach at Michigan he got the interim tag uh and then he's the head coach it sounds like he is the top of the level of this controversy and if there's any pun it comes down he's going to catch it could Michigan guys could Michigan have back-to-back Seasons where two separate head coaches are suspended during the season I hargh was suspended twice last year yes yes well well now here's the thing about this uh you get your notice of allegations you you given a chance to reply I don't think the investigation I don't think there's any way this in investigation now again we don't know how long they've had this notice of allegations that they may have had that for six months we don't know about it but I don't think they'll be able to uh complete this investigation and be able to punish them during the season what if they did and I want to throw this out how fun how fun awward and Patrick I want you to comment as well as Brent on this okay let's say this thing has been going on for a while and let's say the NCAA is about to divy out punishment okay okay let's say the NCAA says Michigan you're on probation and Michigan you're not going to a you're not going postseason I don't think they do that much anymore but do you realize the NCAA could put Michigan on probation the NCAA doesn't run the college football playoff right they have nothing have nothing to do with the college football playoffs so Michigan could theoretically get slapped by the NCAA yeah and they go we're still in the playoff if we're 12- one or you know 11- one 12-0 right the college football playoff almost it's almost like why do anything you know right am I right here Brent the college football playoff doesn't answer to the NCA that's correct they're not Rel that that that that's correct they're not now also Jim Harbaugh is listed on the ations Chris Partridge and dard Robinson he used to be obviously oh yeah and they've got they've got two coaches Jesse mentor and Steve clink scale yeah that were that that were it it was not because of the stallion thing it was because of recruiting violations wow but look to to to um to pants point which is a good one I mean guys they're not going to take away the title uh I don't think I don't think they're going to them they might ask him to vacate some wins they could take away some scholarships I mean that's basically and they could find them I mean that's basically the postseason stuff is over right they they haven't given out postseason bands in years right no no no basketball but they can still do that in basketball what wouldn't that be ironic though if the NCA said all right Michigan we we got to drop a hammer here no postseason and you think bowl game but Michigan could go okay that's fine but the college football playoffs says we're the eighth ranked team in the country we're in the playoff well well but to your look look to your point we don't here's the thing we don't know if the the NCAA is trying to invent themel reinvent themselves and one of the ways they think they can reinvent themselves is by hitting somebody hard so and let and let people know okay we we're still here uh we're not going away we we still have the power uh to to punish teams so uh who who could be in our uh our sights with this uh as we do that I'm not saying it's going to happen I'm still with Pat I don't think anything happens with this to mount anything frankly unless they they they're just determined that they want to be the big bad wolf in theory again yeah a show a show of the power they don't have yeah yes what if they tell what if they tell Chiron Moore Michigan head football CS all right you got to miss the first two games my man I mean how crazy would that be two would be would two separate coaches suspended three times total over a year and a half way to go hey right now is that they GA they gathered evidence that shows that stallions the guy in the middle of all this was Central michigans on their Sidelines for their season open again opener against Michigan I'm not saying but youim M Wayne yeah M's up could could could he be question I I probably was question about this could this go anywhere with them um I you know the thing is that you guys the NCA sometimes ends up hitting hard that they'll that they'll Hammer schools like Central Michigan Ed nor Michigan does um and Stallions in Michigan's main thing is the sign stealing does it Factor at all guys does it Factor at all guys that hey by the way sign stealing is gone now because helmet communication has made its way to college football so this will right nobody's going to signal in signs anymore right they're done yeah by by the way I think sign stealing just like in baseball not necessarily the electronic but your eyeball I'm fine with you eyeballing another coach and if you can figure his signs out now I I don't agree our technology is so good I think you could some of these mics and all you could zoom in so close you can hear people but from the naked eye if if if I can figure out what you're trying to do are you hitting running here or are you pitching out here you know yeah I think that's gamesmanship well well but again the problem is so so many people on the staff at Michigan were involved with this know so you know do they does the NCAA go by Theory here do they go by I don't know it's a fascinating thing p I think we've asked you this before and forgive me if we have but is sign stealing when you were when you were growing up and then you got to basketball in college was that a did was that an issue did y'all talk about that much did you remember that at all it was it was part of uh scouting you know um point guard comes down and they you know thumb side thumb up thumb down two whatever you know you know that you're but you know really good really good coaches and coach Golden did this a little B bit last year I remember Kansas State you'll have one main set that you can run a bunch of stuff out of yeah yeah so regardless of them knowing all right this is where we want to be but you don't know what they're going to do because I do remember there were times where uh we knew a defense and offense so well that sometimes you would you know uh anticipate be be you know too anticipatory uh and you know they run some type of counter and get something wide open because you think you know the play and if they were running it that way you would but yeah you know so there is there is an but you know basketball and football are such hustle Sports and other things between the lines I'm not GNA say knowing the play doesn't give you yeah an advantage but it's not everything it's not you know uh as we as we go to break and Brent we'll try and keep you on one more segment if you can I'm sure you got some other college football stuff um one of Coach spurrier's famous dummy signs was one of his was one of his biggest plays um as the gator coach they're playing number one FSU in '97 huge underdogs when they swapped the quarterbacks almost every play Johnson Noah brindise in fact you may or may not have heard the story but you know Florida Florida State they were playing a bunch I mean they were playing for big games and they were playing sometime twice they played the final regular season game then they played a bowl game a couple times right so during during that period FSU and Florida knew each other very well Mickey Andrews and the boys on well it it dawned on Coach Spurs kind of halfway through that 97 game where Fida was a huge Underdog that you know what I think they've got one or two of our signs cuz they've jumped us a couple times you know what I mean you could tell sometime when a defensive back is just taking a chance or he feels like he knows what's coming so Spurrier and his offensive staff during the game they kind of late in the game in the fourth quarter they kind of figured out wait a minute they might have our our sign for this well sper sends out Doug Johnson in the offense and says hey we're running this we're going to give a sign for that but we're going to run this and damn I think it was ta Cody or one of those defensive backs jumped the hell of the down and out and quy went up and kind of used uh kind of used your um surveillance against you a little bit yeah g you know to Terry the best thing sper did against FSU was you remember in the in the regular season game they they had the quarterback under Center and the FSU had such a good D line and linebackers that they got to them very quickly what he did in the bowl game was he buil the quarterbacks in the shotgun and he had never done shotgun didn't like shotgun so so they they they could not get to the quarterback and had a field day on the on the FL secondary and their secondary couldn't cover Florida's guys they could get the pass off hey tight I want you to dump out your college book if you've got some stuff on the other side news and notes as we're closing in yes on uh gosh darn August two think about this a little bit he said I'm coming back for 2028 that means that this was his third Olympics that's going to be his fourth yeah now now think about this a minute what you know what would at some point help us on this pth from the athletic Viewpoint at some point you've had 12 years of this at least yeah do you do and you've got 16 coming up if you come back for a fourth uh now he's got eight gold medals uh now what he wants to do with his life is up to him but man oh man look guys a lot of time in the water man that's a lot water time how how tough how tough would that be uh to go through 16 years of of and it's a statement how the perseverance of Caleb dress boy how tough will that be guys good grief well I mean he'll look at Katie Lei and see that she's doing it yeah yeah as young as seven 17 or 16 whenever she was when how when she started but yeah yeah yeah I think he's it's you know he's saying it now he was obviously very disappointed he didn't a little bit that's true right you you open up Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday that's wonderful but you get away from it Monday Tuesday Wednesday you get right you've got days off built in twice in the 3-we period this Olympic thing man it's go um I've got a little Olympic fatigue right now everywhere you turn is Olympics Olympics o is it is I'm fine rather that because as we keep creeping towards November it's gonna be so much political ads you're right nonstop so I much rather watch the Olympics you're right R beard uh look into your magical um college football notepad I'm not sure what we've got to be aware of but most of the I guess everybody's basically practicing by now right no matter when you open up not only are they practicing but FSU had a scrimmage over the weekend anything of note I think a lot of people probably missed it so I I'll throw out some of the guys who did well now some people may be familiar with these names some may not uh running back Samuel Singleton Jaylen Brown and jayen Lucas uh why running back wide receiver and athlete they did well in the scrimmage scrimmage was not clean there were a lot of mistakes but you know that's why you scrimmage uh is to be able to deal with that uh and and try to work on it uh croman hook and I may be pronouncing it Luke croman hook their backup quarterback had a pretty good scrimmage uh he certainly had some moment Brock Glenn who they really like is um he did okay when he anything understanding about that dju I young was pretty solid the receivers didn't the receivers didn't help him that much U so that that was a bit of a problem uh I like I like the fact that Mike norell actually runs with the lineman from the I think it's the goal line to the to the other end zone so they run 100 yards you know those Norvell are in good shape we all know that we all know that right they're in good oh yeah they're in good shape Brent did you um the um the coaches poll came out um yes you know the top 12 we went through it man what a fun if this is how the uh the final poll ended and this was our 12 to go play a playoff oh my goodness Georgia Ohio State and I'm assuming Georgia I think Ohio State in terms of raw talent is probably the only roster in Georgia's neighborhood I guess the nod though is Ohio State doesn't have their starting quarterback coming back and Georgia does is that why Georgia got the nod probably yeah probably yeah and and a lot of it is because everybody else look again for the coaches poll we got we have to remember uh that the sports information director probably made yeah uh this poll and the coach checked off on it uh so yeah look I I don't know about Notre Dame being seven I don't either I don't either help me on this well Notre Dame and Penn State I mean year after year they're just are are we struggling guys for 12 teams that bad that I mean Notre Dame and Penn State I think don't you gotta see it at some point on the field yeah oh yeah you do eventually and I think Penn State probably has better Talent than Notre Notre Dame do do now LSU's 12 Tennessee's 15 I don't agree with that Tennessee is the better overall team because LSU doesn't have a defense but interesting uh Utah is 13 listen I have more confidence in Utah than I do Notre Dame I'll tell you one thing guys Brent you Pro Patrick you probably got to know Kyle Whittingham because Florida had a two- game series with Utah and he was Urban Myers's right hand stayed at Utah he can flat out coach Utah's program is good cam cam Rising cam rising's back thank God for all the injuries he's had I think he's going to be okay and Brandt keithy that tight end y'all remember the tight end that drove Florida nuts in Gainesville that guy that guy's back Utah is an imp if if Kyle Whittingham was 10 years younger he'd be up for every major major job out there that guy can Coach and he's got a great he really can and and by the way Miami's 19 that I think that's a tad low for them I'm not saying that you be in the top 10 yet but that that is low listen if I was Kansas I'd have a parade tomorrow uh they're 24 and I think I think that I mean really I mean Kanas football J oh yeah I mean that's a m Kansas basketball it's another story kenas football but their coach is good man that coach is good he is one of the better Lance leupold's one of the better coaches he loves Reclamation projects so I I I think he will do really well with that so now the AP is going to be out again in the next few days and this will be uh this would be very similar uh to that this is pretty much what we've seen so don't have polls they don't have uh committees you know what they do they play games on the field they determine winners they they determine division winners conference winners and they have tiebreakers when needed and they just go freaking play oh yeah why can't college football do it college football acts like their game is so complicated oh yeah so complicated and you know me you see a power pole for the NFL and those are kind of fun to look at yeah but but beyond that you really don't see that did you guys talk about the Florida basketball edition today yeah uh we haven't but did you hear about that Patrick who the gator talk about it Brent yeah that this just came out today that that Florida has a series now uh let me get this straight yeah uh they've got a holiday uh hoops giving that's cute versus Arizona State in Atlanta on Saturday the 14th uh it's part of a triple header it's pretty good Auburn versus Ohio State Georgia versus Grand Canyon so Florida's 2 and 0 against Arizona State uh nit in 2008 um was was one you guys like this and that's Bob right yeah is that Bobby Hurley yeah Arizona State yeah yes yes Bobby Hurley not Dan Danley but bobbyy yeah they they I like this Florida schedule I think they've done a pretty good job do they have the entire non non-conference schedule up now uh it I think they're close to getting that okay this man I tell you other guys were wouldn't you like to have them play who's the worst to worst man I'd love it it's the worst of the worst goodness you take um how about the 010 And1 79 Gator football team against one of those 0 And1 FSU teams of the early 70s who who's the worst who's the best worst thatd be fun wouldn't it the best worst well probably the worst team is gonna be for for the Gator the that that when the coach switch the uh offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator I would say that that would probably number one in my book Terry Patrick did you play on any bad bad bad teams in in Little League baseball football basketball I don't I look back I don't think I ever played on a bad bad team my first my uh first uh I think age 10 10 through 12 Little League when the you go up from the smaller field and away from coach picks Etc our first team called the Padre's we were we I think we won our first game and then lost 20 straight or something like that really but then what was really cool we changed our names from the Padres to the Cardinals nice and rebranded and I don't know what happened but we went back toback champ with the first year we won a championship uh against the team that dominated like we do a little mid-season thing you know uh you know they dominated the first half of the season they seemed Invincible nobody could beat them and then we won if they would have won first half and second half there would have been no playoffs so we came back and won that second half and then my my last year at 12 we went 21 and0 in the Little League uh League it was awesome get those Padres out of there man get the Padres out and the Cardinals in man as a professional my team in Turkey I mean it was it was probably the worst team I had played for but we weren't we weren't God awful yeah yeah just not terrible you know we played against Madrid at home and they took us they man they they took us in the barnyard hey uh going going back to slaughter nice going back to the Olympics as we wrap up about three minutes left here on a Monday you know one of the negative stories has been that filthy dirty San river right there did did you hear there's a couple things I did not know this Patrick I read it this morning it I'm telling you somebody look it up and and let us know tomorrow I read this morning that it has been illegal to swim in that River for a century and everybody tried to tell them did you hear what's happening Belgium and Switzerland have either had people come have to get out of the competition or they've had to replace people that are doing the um Triathlon because they're swimming in that filthy dirty River and they're getting sick they're getting sick of course wow how about that did you know that you couldn't swim in there for a century it was a law I don't think you're supposed to swim in it now they just those filthy like they do such a great but France does such a great job with cleaning their water that you drink you know they I remember watching it on dock but yeah that's uh swimming in the river I mean I I think I swm in St John maybe once or twice when I was a kid now I'm looking back like and you live and you live to tell about it I live I live I'm telling you right now yeah I live to whether I was stepping on some rocks or some crabs in there I mean I'm just like man this is not wise to be I mean dude they're not doing this just for publicity these are people Switzerland and Belgium they've had to they've had to replace athletes and some of them are done they got gastrointestinal issues from swimming in that damn River yeah some of that I mean they they you know whatever anybody says you end up drinking a little bit of that water swiming in it right so it doesn't it doesn't take much of getting that water with the back the really bad bacteria that yeah you know if you boil the water you're fine because it kills all that stuff but yeah you ain't boiling a river but you know many that's so is that that's negligent for France to to do that in my opinion and and the word hey and and they do testing and all and I don't know too much about this but I know it's a nasty word basically they keep talking about testing it for levels of eoli Patrick and they said let's just go ahead and use the competition here use that no no there's not some other body of water there's not they could have taken the S I mean I don't know how if tahi is big enough to do the I don't know big enough to do the other parts though you know the running and the uh cycling cycling but yeah that would have been a much better option to take those but you know maybe Tahiti has too much uh uh uh waves I don't know but anywhere else somewh I'd rather be in some water that's a little wavy where you know they they're gonna save people they're not gonna drown out there Patrick man and they they knew better they knew better they got people sick they knew better oh well all right Pat that'll wrap it up my man good
