another Hearts youngster has left the club this time with leis neelson joining St Johnston for a oneyear loan deal welcome back guys to son of Scotland TV and yes L neelson has left the club he's pen paper for a deal with st Johnson and he will be with them for the upcoming 2024 2025 season now neelson as we know was on loan last season at championship side pck fistle he made 43 appearances as they reached the promotion playoffs but just fell short in the end now he is going to St Johnston so it's a step up last season he was sent out to the championship this season he's been s on loan again but remaining in the Premiership I'm actually a little bit disappointed by this because I wanted Lou neelson to stay I wanted Lou nelon to try and fight for a place at Hearts this season I get it not going to be a starting 11 player he's not going to be the first choice Center back from the bench I get that but I would like to have seen neelson actually stick around whether he be the fourth or fifth Choice Center back I would have liked to have seen him play the odd game play the cup games try to work his way up the defensive ladder at the club instead of going to on loan but if we have to look at the positives here at least it is a loan to the Premiership and he'll be playing at a higher level and I think that he is good enough to start for St Johnson and if he's getting regular game time if he can play 43 games this season then that will do him a world of good but you got to wonder from a heart's perspective how many more years can we keep loaning out Lou neelson I think this has to be the last one it's a good move St Johnson or a Premiership so it it could turn out to be positive it could turn out to work well but I think after this season we do need to see Lou neelson getting thrown in and find out whether he will sink or swim so that's what I think now Lou neon did speak about leaving Hearts this is what he had to say with his opportunity to join St Johnston he says quote after speaking to Hearts my next step was just to play as many games as I can and playing in the Scottish Premiership is huge when St Johnson wanted to take me it was a no-brainer it seems like a great group of boy so I'm excited to get started I have never worked under the manager but I've heard a lot of good things I think the style of play is really going to help my game I am sure this loone spell will help me and I hope I can help the club too I am delighted to be in and get a full week of training before our league opener against aine it is an exciting opening game and of quote so yeah L neelson excited to be playing in the Premiership and rightfully so and the experience will definitely benefit him but I just want him to be ready for hearts I don't want him to be ready for St Johns for for partic fistle I want to see what he can do in a maroon shirt and speaking of doing things in a maroon shirt Craig Gordon was speaking about how he's overcoming his disappointment about not getting picked for Scotland he said quote in terms of motivation using the rejection as motivation quote Yeah absolutely any motivation you can get you try to use to your advantage that's what I've done before any setbacks I've had in my career I Tred to bounce back this will be another one of those I was disappointed and it took me a few weeks to get over it I was probably even into preseason with hearts before I really even managed to put that behind me move on and start to focus on this one that's the good thing about football you get another season or the next game to try and focus on I tried to put all my energy into making myself as good as can be for the start of the season end of quote so he did go on to say a lot of other things about how he's not ready to pack it in he's going to hold on to the gloves for now and he he always wants a challenge and he's ready for the challenge this season and I've got a feeling that Craig Gordon will be the heart's number one again I'm not sure if he will start the season as number one but I think at some point this year I think Craig Gordon will become the heart's number number one again and he will probably hold on to that position until the end of the season I don't think Craig Gordon is content just sitting on the bench for the remainder of his career he came back for that horrific double leg break and he didn't come back just to sit and watch sander Clark play football so we'll see what happens I do think Craig Gordon at one point will become the number one so let me know what you guys think down below will Craig Gordon be the number one this season at some point will he get the gloves back from sander Clark and what about Lou neelson do you rate him as a player do you think he's someone that can be successful and someone that has a future at hearts or is he getting loaned out because he just isn't good enough let me know what you think Down Below guys I'll catch you in the next one until then peace
