Chiefs Kingdom what is Good Guys welcome back to the channel the Chiefs just kind of done the unthinkable a little bit right we all know that waiver claims went through a lot of new players heading to new teams on New Deal or actually basically the same deal that's what waivers is but a lot of guys going to new teams and the Chiefs did something really crazy samaji perine the former Denver Broncos Cincinnati Bengals running back who has been really productive as a pass catching back just went to the Chiefs listen I don't know how they continue to do it right they bring in Xavier worthy I don't know how they bring in Hollywood Brown again don't know how Jared Wy right Carson steel looks like a beast now you bring in a guy in samaji pan we all know we all had eyes Jerick McKinnon and what he could do in this offense as a pass catching back on third down was amazing it actually gave them a brand new Dynamic of offense now you have samaji Peron in this video what I wanted to do is break down his film and show you exactly what the Chiefs just got and why they're about to you know make the NFL look stupid once again before we jump in comment down below a record prediction for the Chiefs but also give me a letter grade of this signing what do you expect that of samaji perine with that being said dive into the film now throughout his career so far he has just been really utilized well in this pass catching era right quarterbacks do such a good job when a blitz is coming just dumping the ball down to him right even if it be second and goal throwing BR to him from the at the 10 yard line the dude really knows how to make plays happen boom has that speed to get to the sideline and then fights for the extra yards into the end zone for a touchdown thing I love most about samaji is the work ethic is the ability to just work work work keep churning those legs and trying to get the most out of every single possession that's exactly what he's going to bring to the chief's team who already has Isaiah Pacho who already has Carson steel right did lose Jerick McKinnon cut generic didn't really have a pass catching back maybe LS ree zamit who he can continue to Mentor right think about in that aspect as well U samaji perine is such a good player for him and you might be wondering well why did the Denver Broncos cut him they have guys they like right they draft the running back you have javante Williams you have jalo mlin they had guys they really liked he wasn't going to play right doesn't mean he wasn't better than them he's just a a older back right not as young Broncos had guys they want to develop wasn't samaji samaji is a guy that will be utilized a ton by Kansas City all right here we go another reason I love this fit here for the Kansas City Chiefs is the way he works around the goal line he is so physical he accepts contact he actually wants contact he's just a really hard Runner here just an inside Zone up the middle puts that head down right but continues to work right push push keep those legs churning and get gets an insane touchdown guys you don't see too many running backs around the NFL continue to do this and yeah we see it a lot in Carson steel who's a rookie is he ready to contribute at a high level maybe not yet but the way I think about this man is him he's going to be able to help Mentor not only a guy like Carson steel but also LS ree zamon as well I think this dude offers a ton of Versatility in the goal line as guy who can catch the football but also is a hard nose type of Runner as well again I know I've said it a ton in this video how do the Chiefs keep getting away with this all right and here we go again another run that I picked out I said okay this is a different one right I love the versatility and I don't want to sit here and show you all his receiving highlights because trust me if you guys have watched football you know how good of a pass catcher this dude is he doesn't have to prove that to anybody but look at this run the runs is what makes that versatility so Dynamic um you know coming over here to Kansas City another play I thought was amazing he's going to be an inside Zone stacked box I don't know what we're thinking over here in Denver stacked box one high safety why are we not I mean it is off coverage but still should be passing this football picks the first hole runs right through it bounces off a Defender and then boom carries the defense for another four or five yards again how do the Chiefs get away with this man last season I mean let me just tell you guys the stats of last year just so you guys know he had um let's see 53 attempts 238 yards and a touchdown 4.5 yards per carry and then through the air 50 catches on 56 targets for 455 yards nine yards per Carro or nine yards per reception guys through thr his career has just about 3,000 yards in both and you know over 14 touchdowns I mean this dude has been really just an a reliable running back to have on the roster and I think this is going to be a perfect fit for him coming over to Kansas City maybe not being your W or your running back one obviously but definitely your third down back running back to potentially think he's a little bit better than Clyde erir as well let me know what you guys think about Sami perine to me this is a no-brainer type type move all right real samaji P here just a nice little run up the middle right one cut back up the field beautiful uh Vision by the running back here and then boom stiff arms a guy and he's gone not to the races these are the plays that make him a Difference Maker and I don't I'm not really showing too many Broncos uh Clips just because how can I say this the Broncos weren't very good um and he was still good there but when he was on the Bengals it really shus how good of a player he can be has that Breakaway speed now again he is getting up there in age I believe he's 28 years old uh but who cares right he's going to come in here be your number three or number two your third down back here primarily I think he plays a good amount on week probably three once he gets acclimated here in Kansas City maybe week two maybe even week one he gets some playing time right but man I am I'm super excited I don't know how they continue to do things like this you got a very underrated running back and underutilized running back for whatever reason in Denver a guy who we know we all have eyes right he passes the eye test the guy who can catch the football at the Back Field make big time plays happen even in the running game as well I'm a big fan I am shout out to the Chiefs this is a big one all right here we go this will be the last play we actually watch here for samaji they're just going to hand it off to him to the outside watch how he works through the holes right finds the vision and uh you know hits the whole hard right breaks some tackles on the way as well love this dude's the work ethic right that's something that stands out to me to the outside has that speed turns back up the field that one cut ability hits a hole right gets through that guy and then fights for about what six seven eight more yards at after that initial contact you know I don't understand how the Chiefs keep getting away with things like this um but it it's fun to see it's fun to see I mean I think you see similar type of things um when Brady was around he' just have guys come over to his team whether it be on on the uh the bucks or whatever but they're doing it at a kind of a different pace LeBron does it right he brings in some old guys where he goes and and then once again they're nice um perine perine's a different Beast man I think he fits that Jerick McKinnon rooll so well I think he might even be a little better than Clyde erir and don't hate Clyde never was as good as we thought he could be um but you don't have that pass catching back out the back field now you do um sagi's him so yeah hit
