oh hey I'm Deco deoy and this is music news every Friday morning I pop up to The Loft Studio to deliver the latest music stories to you other times I just come up here to play the drums we're brought to you by hello merch hello makes sales and ships merch for bands and this week we're psyched to say hello to indie rock Legends sler Kenny who recently opened up a new shop with hello [Music] [Music] formed in Olympia in 1994 sler Kenny was one of the defining bands of the riot girl movement after releasing seven Studio records the band entered a Hiatus in 2005 but returned with full force with no cities to love released in 2015 the band's latest is called called little rope released earlier this [Music] year head over to the band's official shop for shirts totes camo hats and music I recommend checking out this great tribute album featuring bands like wico low big Joanie and St Vincent who also produced leader Kenny's music in the past welcome to the creu leader Kenny and hey while you're at hello loading up on SK gear check out the shop we have for Carrie Brownstein's show Portlandia too in other news earlier this week we were surprised to see that Bonito Antonio Martinez acassio AKA Bad Bunny has joined the cast for the forthcoming Happy Gilmore 2 the sequel to the 1996 original [Music] film the Puerto Rican rapper joins Adam Sandler and the film is slated to appear on Netflix in the future the future now all right and to close in 1998 Swedish hardcore band refused release their Landmark album the shape of punk to come which Blended Electronica Hard Rock Jazz and other [Applause] forms the band broke up not long after sharing a note titled refused are [ __ ] dead via their label Burning Heart but their influence continued to grow bolstered by a 2006 documentary called you guessed it refused are [ __ ] dead and 2012 they reunited to play Coachella igniting a second life for the band whose most recent album is 2019s war music this week the band announced that it will stage its final tour in 2025 sharing dates word of an expanded version of their classic album and news about a tribute album the shape of punk to come of obliterated featuring remixes and covers from bands like Zulu touche Amore quicksand hor n and more our refus really dead this go around only time will tell but we'll keep you posted okay that's it I'll see you next week decoy out
