be muted on your end if you can unmute for us you hear me yes we can awesome we have quarterback cam Ward if you have a question for cam please use the hand rais function we'll start off with isie Charles a cane sport isie what's going on cam uh just headed into your first game at the as a quarterback at the University of Miami and it's against the Florida Gator just how are you feeling and you know your expectations I feel good um from preparation standpoint um from communication standpoint I feel like myself and the team is in a good situation and you know we get a chance to go play you know Florida at home uh you know playing there is not an easy thing to do you know so we up for a challenge and you know we got to rise to the occasion our next question comes from Adam lonstein of the Sun Sentinel Adam hey cam I was I was looking at your uh your home road splits from last year and they're they're pretty similar a couple more picks on the road but like the PFF grad's about the same um just what do you do to make yourself more comfortable when you're playing in a big road game um nothing different than what I do at home uh I wake up eat breakfast go to the S listen some music go play football so you know I just you know do what I do beam reward at the end of the day and you know I just gota got to be a good communicator to the guys in the hudle be a good teammate and just put the ball in play what music do you like to listen to uh variety um raw wave young boy um g herbo a lot of rap music gotcha and sorry sorry to dominate things but um what you know in your time at like Washington State like what was the most difficult uh Road environment or loudest Road environment you played in um I would have to say I'll say a couple um Oregon was loud Washington was loud USC was actually loud um he played in Wisconsin too that pretty that was pretty nice stadium so those four for sure next we'll go to Jordan mcf of the Miami heral Jordan hey there cam I know you've been around for a while going to your fifth year but since you got to Miami even without playing a game where do you feel like you've made strides in your game throughout spring camp and fall Camp heading into the season um this my fourth year um but I think I I think I may made strides just as a communicator um from learning different different you know ways to maneuver throughout the Huddle um especially uh how we've been practicing you have to you know be able to communicate with guys on the Fly and you know just the the different style of offense that you know we're going to do compared to last year um it's gonna be some similar but some different so it's gonna be the best of both worlds um but I think you know at the end of the day we just got to you know show up and be physical the most physical team is goingon to win football games and you know if we can do that we put oursel in a position to win next we'll go to Matt shadella cane sport Matt hey cam thanks for taking the time um I wanted to ask a if you feel you have anything to prove starting with this game and then also if you can talk about the challenge you see in Florida's defense thanks uh yeah I have a lot to prove to myself um I have a lot to prove to my teammates and you know that's really the only thing that matters to me is my teammates and myself so you know we're going we're going to rise to the occasion we're gonna be prepared to play um and just defensively Florida um they're a good defense um from Old Line I mean from D line to cornerbacks for sure to their to their safety they're they're a good overall defense and you know they gonna be physical with us we have to match the physicalness and you know the end of the day is football you know heads are gonna get hot um but we just got to keep our composure and play our football take care next we'll go to Marcus Benjamin at kanes County Marcus hey cam how's it going how you doing good uh just kind of wanted to ask about just late game situations uh you know when when it's a close game and you have to you know execute a two-minute drill what are some of the things that you do mentally to kind of prepare for those type of situations um I wouldn't say anything different than what I do throughout the whole game um dap up the guys before we go out and you know go put some points on the board so you know my mind say would never change um whether I throw 20 touchdown or 20 picks my M say it's never going to change I'm a gun Slinger and you know that's just what I do so um continue to you know be a be a leader for the team continue to you know put guys in situation that they can be successful and just get the ball to The Playmakers we'll do a few more for cam we'll go back to isie Charles the Kane for isie on cam we spoke with ANZ Cooper yesterday and he kind of said he's been watching you know past games between Miami and Florida kind of learn about the history what do you know about the history and just how cool is it that your first game as a Miami Hurricane is going to be against the Florida Gator uh it's a special moment I know a little bit about the history but you know to be in this position uh you know I'm truly blessed um the whole team is blessed in general and you know we honored to play this game uh we know how long the Rivalry goes back and you know we just got to do our job this Saturday you know hopefully try try to hold up our end of the deal and you know the end of the day you know we just got to do what hurricanes Hurricane football is being physical playing fast and you know let the rest take care of itself next we'll go to Daryl Street footballville Daryl oh Cam what's going on how how is your experience in in the city of Miami been um the weather the food have you experienced some different things have you tried new things since you've been here um yes I tried some Cuban food which is actually good I never tried that before um other than that I just be vibing at the house with my dog I stay at the facility go home I do the same stuff every day no matter it's Monday through Sunday so you know I don't be out I don't be out like that that U it' be a lot of crazy stuff going on out here in Miami so you know I feel like the more I can stay in corpor Gat Gables you know the the better I'll be I we'll wrap up with Cam with Marcus Benjamin from kanes County Marcus hey cam I just wanted to ask about the communication the new communication in the helmet and just kind of what your experience is with that and and do you feel like it's it's you know giving you an advantage now now that you don't have to kind of look to the sideline for checks um uh the communication is good uh it's way better especially for Coach Dawson and all the OC's around the country um it is easier you know to get to play in and out of the Huddle to play faster uh especially um you know Tempo teams uh they'll be able to play a lot more faster than what they have so you know I like it it's good um it's still hard to hear um at certain times um but you know that we'll still have you know signals just like everybody else in the country and you know they just got to communicate on the sideline and in the Huddle um if we do that you know everything take care of itself and you know we'll put oursel in a position cam we appreciate your time today and good luck on Saturday sir appreciate it Josh
