[Music] hey you are now listening to the baseball offici episode number 12 happy to be with you guys once more I'm your host Santos the baseball afficionado and of course I'm happy to bring back one of my guests on this episode we are going to talk about the a lot of things going on right now with you know with the the baseball season as we're getting towards the later stages of the season so we're going to talk a little bit about MVPs Awards um a little bit of the stuff going on the MVP races in the NL the AL Rookie of the Year manager of the Year all sorts of things and we'll put a little sasong into it as well so I want to bring back one of my recurring guests a friend of ours uh a friend of mine for sure Willie B is of Bodega Sports so but before anything make sure that if you're watching on YouTube hit the like subscribe it helps us grow uh we appreciate appreciate the support of course and um as always streaming on all audio platforms where you get your podcast and of course make sure to follow me on those social media platforms links are in the bio the whole thing so without further Ado let's get right into it gonna bring back my boy my friend of the program friend of mine Willie bias of Bodega Sports what's up what's up what's up baby let's do it I got it I got to represent I see you with anul so you know I had to bring it yeah yeah yeah yeah no so funny thing before we get started actually because I I love the the sweatshirt and stuff so I've done merch in the past independently but I kind of want to tie everything together so Baseball official now the merch is coming it's on the way I just wanna I want to get my everything right you know I wanna I don't want to have a bunch of sweatshirts and t-shirts and just have them sitting in in in a box somewhere you know I gotta make sure they fly off the shelf I mean you want to do uh baseball fishon conglomerate LLC type of [ __ ] that's right that's right that's right Pap tell me listen you're the guy you're the moderator guy you always you're the one you know why I'm moderate right why because you know I got claudo with me so everywhere man that guy just goes everywhere so I gotta moderate him you know what I love about what you guys do if you guys don't know you guys by now whoever you know you guys who follow me and and check out all the stuff I do you guys got to follow BGA Sports it's it's a platform they talk about sports and they do it but they do it in such a way that I think even if you don't speak Spanish You're Gonna Get what's going on because they do a little SP Spanglish stuff as well in there you know what I mean like it's bilingual in a way too so like if you guys love my stuff you're gonna really love Boda stuff so I just want to give that plug because that these guys are awesome um they got cladio they got um FR obviously Willie Franklin is another guy who comes out like you know you know what I mean they you got they do a great job so I just wanted to make sure we put that out there so thank you bro thank you and now I'm com out with the MLB awards predictions so we're gonna start with the lowest tier you know the manager of the year and we're GNA move on from there I want to start with the American League manager of the year I think we got the same guy but you go ahead prent him yeah yeah so I I wanted to I I hate like doing everything Chuck so I hate like just agreeing with you but in I could go we'll go in two ways so we'll talk about the guy who we have in common which I think step V has done such a great job that I think it's almost impossible to to deny him of that word that we're talking about obviously the manager of the Cleveland Guardians he's that team from start to now they've been on fire they've done great yeah no I yeah I I I wish I could have selected mat how do you how do you pronounce his name quat quatro or something quaro I hate yeah I hate pataro yeah he's done a good job though but he's a manager of the Royals you know yep the only thing that for me at least that kills it a little bit is that he has really good pitching right and they have their a they got Seth Lugo and they have their second best pitcher Kyle Reagan so I think that you know and they have Salvador Perez they have M Bobby Wood Jr which you know is on the MVP discussion so they got people and the thing with Cleveland is that Shane Bieber got in injured so your a is out you know so how do you maintain that you know like how do you maintain that Bullpen how do you maintain that rotation it's a lot of things so I thought you know what Stephen vog has done everything with what he has you know and rookies on the Outfield and everything you know he just doing everything yeah it's a loaded like you know that's I I agree like like that's the thing when you talk about the manager of the year right you look at two things you look at how the the players have played how the team has improved from one year to the next and you also look at the talent level right is the team absolutely loaded right is the team loaded or are they doing more with less and you could make the argument like you mentioned um obviously Kansas City's manager they had he has a better hand than what Cleveland's got Cleveland they're not loaded they got better Talent I think this year but than they've had in recent years loaded no no no no of course not and after that I mean I don't have anybody else to be honest those are the two guys you can dis you can argue for roko Bal Deli but you know Minnesota thing has guys you know they got Roy Lewis they got kareah they got guys so I can I make yeah go can I make an argument for Roco as well though I'll make an argument the only just they're they're on the outside looking in I don't think they're going to win but M I want to make an argument for two guys as wild cards I guess if you would say for a lack of a better word Dark Horses um Roco Bal deli's had a lot of injuries that's the one thing like like now Minnesota is gonna hit they hit a lot they don't have like a pitching staff that's like all the worldly you know no and their Ace hasn't been their Ace yeah no he hasn't been good this year mhm so you could make the argument Roco deserves some votes and another guy who people are not really talking a lot about but you know H Joe's father Joy's father no Jo's well well ah now you brought Alex too yeah Al Alex don't got a great team no at all man at all Red Sox aren't loaded so and they're fourth on the on the on the wild card we'll talk about it later but they're fourth right now you know they're right there yeah yeah yeah they're right there so the only reason I would have said cor sure but I I I was leaning more towards maybe Joe ESP spala consideration too because Joe is sp bro that team was dead yeah yeah dead they had injuries Gore the Astros now I know that they Astros they still got injury they still got injuries L Garcia hasn't come back Verlander is about to be active let me see PTO they had to they had to release him I mean they got a lot going on for his first year yeah I just think yeah now again I don't think he should win I think we got the guy right I think V is is the the guy but just consideration and Alex is a nice honorable mention as well Jo 10 games behind when we recorded a podcast back in May I think something like that so something to think about all right National League manager of the year who you got H this one is a little bro this can go in a hundred different directions honestly I mean if you if you told me Carlos Mendoza won the like from the Mets won the national league right manager you could make that argument too I'm not saying the Mets were dead yeah and we'll like you said we'll talk about that later they probably still might not make the playoffs but they were dead so um better I gotta go with Mike Shield just because what see what I understand the Padres have talent right so this is what we're talking about oh do you have a loaded team are you doing more with less in his case I give him credit because it's not a thing about doing more with less it's about uh calming the storm in San Diego San Diego had high expect ations although sto's not there the roster is very good and they've made improvements right he's found a good way at he's doing the Right Moves he's got this team playing together and for that reason I Gotta Give it to Mike Shield I think he's done a great job with this San Diego team I would agree with you but I gotta go with Pat Murphy or Milwaukee normally I don't like to give credit for winning the NL Central but the way that they've been doing it Milwaukee and now that Yelich yel is out that's what want it for me you know that's what want it for me I mean they don't have their A's again Corbin Burns is out they traded him Devin Williams hasn't been there the whole year he just came back that's right let me see will ad Damas is above at the end of the day I think Pat Murphy at least from what I've seen is that he's good at like how do you call it like hyping up the the group you know like just talking with the guys you know like the guy when you see him he fires up he's always fighting against the you know the strike zone so he rouss up people and I think that basically people either had St Louis or they might have had the reds or even the Pirates starting seven and0 the first seven games but the Brewers were not on that discussion to be honest and you know they've proven with time and with Pat Murphy that that's it that they got the NL Central I you know what that's a good listen you can't go wrong in any in any with with any pick because what you said is true he galvanizes the troops right he bring he gets the most he's always fighting man he's like Brett Boon of the National League or I mean Aaron Boon of the National League damn yeah yeah he's a player manager at the yeah because if you look at that team it's not loaded either that roster is not you know and he I understand now the central is not a great division but still they've been on top for most of the year so yeah I could see that yeah all right rookie of the year we start with the national league because everybody well there could be a surprise there's a dark hor but right now we have Paul skines as winning the Rookie of the Year right there's no surprise there yeah on the NL yeah it's it's Bor it's almost boring to talk about you know sh sh IM managa started out well but he flamed out quick he flamed out yeah he flamed out hey he REM we don't pay Japanese players why they didn't use to pay Japanese players so I think that there's a case to be made for Jackson Merill you know you can you can convince me if paulski sits down which they were talking about it like maybe since they're on last place they're not going to win anything they thought about sitting down Paul skes and if Jackson Merill just keeps doing what he's doing the whole year and he was basically with San Diego same thing he's only 21 I think it is he's playing great you can make a case right that you know if he play September just like that and Paul skes sit down then he could win rookie of the year right now I got Paul SK it's nothing you ever seen let me see the the last play that I really sat down to watch his debut and say you know what let me see this guy was Stephen Strasberg you know back in 2010 I think it yeah yeah so for me that was that gave me the vibe of step straford when I saw him pitch I was like damn that was a tit I called my brother which he doesn't watch baseball but he watched it with me you know he follows a little bit of the game but I told him this get a special take a look at him like today just just watch this game with me I called him up and we watched the game at the same time like that's how it tied up was for this kid so yeah I got I like yeah yeah I don't think it's close unless like what you said unless there's some sort of a organizational you know shift or for him to sit down for a month or whatever was left um other than that Jackson Merl's very exciting exciting player I just think Paul skines though the impact he's had since being up I think it's just too much you can't deny it um you know I I just think Paul skins like you said much watch much CV as they say so I agree I think it's more of a layup with this unless you said like you say unless he gets sat for the for the remaining month and whatever it is left so but just so people know eight wins two losses 2.16 ER oh nasty no no he's great look at the strikeouts look at the strikeouts he got 130 in 104 Innings nasty man nasty so he's barely been up he hasn't been up long and you know what's funny so the guys that are going against him of course chrisel you know people like that they got like 150 Innings only 50 Innings above him you know like right now right now I have him top three and we'll talk about sa young but I have him top young yeah we'll talk that's listen I I appreciate that because I think um and we'll talk obviously about the AL one too I appr appreciate when people think outside the box when it comes to Awards I it makes it more interesting so I I like that idea and I think Paulk deserves Sai Young consideration he won't win it because he don't have I don't think he has the Innings as far as to compare right but yeah he deserves votes I'm with you yeah no I agree I agree 100% agree all right American League Rookie of the Year I'mma start with mine right I know a lot of people since I'm Dominican should be going with the guy blah blah blah blah blah I'm go right right I'm going go with everything unconventional I'm going go with Colton cower from the Orioles that kid has been doing everything everything yeah you know I mean remember rookie of the year is not about most valuable for your team he's not the most valuable I think it's Gunna Henderson then Cory Burns then adley there's a lot of people above him right of course but the kid is bat in 249 19 home runs and I'll tell you right now in terms of if people like Ops plus right now he's at 124 which is 24% better than anybody at his position he's been playing Left Field most of the time but he can play center field right field you know call it so I got him right now as my Rookie of the Year who you got I I like cower I think what he's doing is is great I think the problem with him is that he kind of gets lost in the shuffle I think that's going to hurt him he's kind of like he's not he's not even like in the top five of the Orioles of what who you think of you know you think of like you said um you know uh you think of hundon Aly you think of s who's been amazing Mullins come on even Jackson holiday people think about more than him right he gets lost in the shuffle I I agree I agree gonna hurt him um for for me that's a good pick though I mean you could have went with will a he's yeah yeah been very good I like him too I just I want to go with the more now I know the guy I'm going with has not been as good second half as first half I'm gonna be clear about that yeah B his erra is still in the threes I'm talking about the Yankees pitcher Luis Hill um I think Luis Hill deserves the award just because they've adjusted to him he's had bad starts in the second half but he hasn't flatlined yet you understand he's had a couple starts where okay he's only gotone three Innings where he gets tattooed better what what does he do the next start bounces back only gives up two runs maybe three runs yeah he's not at a one erra he's not an a he's not Pedro Martinez quite yet right yeah but given the expectation he's come out of nowhere this is his first Go Round has never thrown this many innings Luis Hill with his ra at 3.39 12- six record good record we don't love records nowadays right wins yeah no no no nobody cares about wins it's solid it's decent it's just for context right uh won is about 144 strikeouts whip is 1.20 ma ATO he he takes the ball once every fifth day pitching for a contender I think Lis he's bent but not broken um for that reason I give it to Luis Hill I'm a I'm going give you uh somebody that he reminds me of and and I spoken to this when he was having like you know like the m not the MVP but the sa Young Award discussion at the beginning of the year the first two three months I said he reminds me of Ubaldo Jimenez on 2010 yes I don't know why I I said it but obalo gimenez if you remember he was 10 and one with 50 games on the season for the Rockies he started the yeah with the Rockies he started the Year great he flamed out on the second half because they they basically got him you know like they watch film they were like you know what he's tipping his pitches blah blah blah and same thing with Luis Hill you know and then he got injured now you know so to me that's what it got me out out of the race at least for Rookie of the Year like once I saw that he I think his elbow was hurting him a little bit I was like you know what he might not be pitching for a while so I was like if this is it and cson and cower Just Hits 25 home runs as a rookie and that's it I mean nothing to look for I you know what it is though and I understand that part as far as the the the injury and the worrying about the The Tipping pitches all that I and the adjustment I get that but I I'm a big I'm a big believer in rewarding guys who have done it from the beginning of the season to recent you understand like the sample size is so much more cower didn't have that same large sample size like you know like Luis Hill has not been an ace before he got hurt you know he wasn't an ace lately but Luis Hill was about pretty consistent all around from the beginning until now okay I understand the floor is falling off a little bit but I reward guys who were great from the beginning on to recent I think the sample size is large no for the season I'm saying no no no I know you know it's a season award that's what it is like okay if you're talking about the second half no he's not but I I just feel like the sample size is very don't like there's really no great answer for this award to be honest with you so yeah we'll see we'll see and I I hope I wish I wish it was Lis Hill but you know cson as who I got okay sa young so on this one we did it a little bit different I wanted to see because I think we all agree on the guy but I wanted to see the top three for you know for at least for us right to different how we evaluate you know because if we just tell you oh yes it's school ball like everybody knows all right but I'll give you my top three and we'll argue with it so I got Corin Burns number three I got Emmanuel class number two and I got school ball winning the sa Young on the American League who you got yeah yeah so for number three even though he's come Crashing Down to Earth a little bit lately I still I got Seth Lugo I think Seth Lugo all around has been very consistent so I have Seth luga is my number three spot I would not give it to him but I think he's he's in the conversation uh for the whole year for the whole body of work right um obviously number two I'm with you and Manuel class I mean we have not seen a reliever and he deserves votes and he better get votes for sa young because I understand he's a reliever but he's been like a video game I mean this guy is just he's the best reliever in the game by a mile right now there's nobody even close no no no and he's been more dominant even than last year than than 2022 aen Diaz and that's my boy but I have to be honest he's been more dominant than anybody we've seen in the last five years what El striking without striking crazy that's crazy just for frame of reference I mean I know that people like the last four years they want to compare with the first four years of Mariano Rivera I don't think it's fair I think Mariano no no it's not fair you know it's like the goost you know but basically the thing with u class is that he has I'll tell you right now he has 49 strikeouts on on let me see on 59 Innings pitched that's crazy you don't see that very often no I mean he pitches at a 100 miles an hour if he wants to every time but he has a cutter and a sinker that is a ground Bowl every time yeah and he has really good defense behind him you know you got you got Jose ramire you know at the end of the day I think in my opinion he's the second best pitcher that I've seen this year and I agree with you in any league leag league and it's funny the war actually agrees with us he's better than Corbin Burns in terms of High super high BW and I was surprised I was like bro like how like what's going on like it's been a while that I've seen somebody so dominant at this stage right now like right now he should be like at 1.90 1.85 er no he's not getting hit he's not getting hit it's ridiculous it's ridiculous yeah yeah he deserves and listen if he won the Sai Young if they tell me he's winning the sa young I'm not mad at it I think he deserves it you know the only reason I didn't put him first is because one is a starter and one is a reliever right corre you're talking about the next guy we're gonna mention but it it's funny real quick how can I put it am man class right or any reliever how valuable is it to have somebody that closes games like Edwin Diaz like you see the difference if Edwin Diaz was himself I think the Mets will be on third place on the agree with you that's just me yeah it makes a difference in the yeah you it's it can make a difference of two three four 10 games in the year correct I mean look at Cleveland of course they're in first place they got the best reliever right now in the game that can come in remember that's right it he has 37 saves and we don't care about saves anymore we care about because at the end of the day they they'll bring him in on the eighth inning and not bring him on the ninth I don't know if you've seen that put hold they need them they need them on the seventh they'll put him on the seventh that's right yeah so two outs in the seventh inning yeah correct correct so yeah that's how you that's how you do it that's how you that's how you yeah and that's how you win right now so that's why I'm like yeah that saves matter but at the end of the day there's more to it you know the leverage of when you use your reliever or your best reliever and that's what he's done all right now now on that note just really quick because we're talking about relief pitchers now he's not in the discussion for any sort of sa young but I gotta I gotta give props to to youus for mentioning Rell gesia before man yeah but but he to be fair he wasn't as good at that point than he is now right now and and the reason I bring up ryel is because him and Emmanuel class have a similar repertoire similar approach they don't strike a million guys out like when Edwin was on top of his game he's striking out everybody like it's more pleasing to the eye it's more like striking everybody out this it's I candy how do you call it I candy yeah yeah yeah so I just want to give props to ryel he has like this hit he had a a streak right right I know JF was like yeah I told you I told you I'm like no but he wasn't as good back then he's been better now than the first half ryel so I just I just wanted to bring that up just he doesn't deserve an award like that but I'm just saying at least not for no no no I mean at the end of the day a Mariano Rivera reliever award is going to go to U class and most likely the Trevor Hoffman award for the national league might be going to a Rell maybe I think so yep hey all right National League who we got wait American League we talked all right just to because we gota make sure we got it clear scho yeah go right number one scho we agree right yeah we agree on that he's been the best way that I can describe scooo he has no complete games he has no shutouts this is so surprising to me man I've never seen scoo he doesn't have one sh no no but I'm saying but who does nowaday is what I'm saying it has to be a no hitter type of thing so yeah I agree it's it's but man before Tim linum Roy holiday was phenomenal with that he was bro I know he's not in that discussion but I I love FR Fran is my dud he's you know what I mean like his Aura he's you know I love pictures like that so basically Terry school ball is not dominant but consistently good that's all it is that's why I'm not showing love for the guy and I talked more about Emmanuel class if you don't see me as excited it's because right now he's just consistently good not great that's all you're trying to Bu you're trying to not be a homer too so I think that's you don't want to be a homer right I get it man like no but scho sco's been consistent though you know he was better than the first half though to be fair so of course of course hey all right National League I'll start with mine I'll give you my threes number three I got Paul skines number two I got Zack Wheeler number one Chris S you go for yours and we'll talk about it okay so my top three uh sa young guys for the national league I got Dylan C at number three uh Zack Willer at number two and I got Chris S as number one I think just Chris S is just well let's talk about it go ahead yeah yeah no so what I was going to say I mean if you told me that Chris S at this stage in his career 2024 he was retired I would have been like oh yeah great I mean great I mean the guy was good he won a sa young everything it's cool yeah yeah or did he win a sa young maybe he didn't no I could be wrong I don't think he's won a sa young but he he's been close he's been close very close but but but that he's doing it at this stage of his career with the Braves everything that he went through with Boston with all the injuries that he went through I'm happy for the guy at the end of the day all you want to see is somebody succeed after he was doubted you know after all the injuries after all the Bulls and everything I'm happy for Chris H you know I agree with you yeah and I think he's deserving of it too I think he's he's been great from the beginning to to now he's just been you know and well Zack Wheeler to be honest I mean yeah he's a if anything happens he's a guy uh erra 2.73 12 and six you know I know you hate him because he you know used to be your guy know I don't hate him I hate the match for letting him go that like I don't understand it and that was the will ponds that was before this ownership group P coo man like it hurts me to see how great this guy turned into he was great Mets fan no no no he was great even with the Mets I mean he wasn't great I'm sorry he wasn't S Young he was good but he was he was getting better though was getting better and he wasn't and he wasn't no a synar for a Tempo that you knew that he had some injury prone problems Jacob the gr we already know what's up with him and then there was another guy apart from Zack Wheeler uh oh Matts Steven matz stepen mats yeah I thought he I thought he was good I thought he was good because he's a lefty everybody loves lefties yeah lefties get I'm telling you if you can if you have a pulse and you can remotely throw the ball with a left arm you're gonna have a job whether you have good stuff or not like that is true it's just what it is like you can be the wackest picture you don't remember back in the day San Francisco Giants um say no no El boriqua yeah him too but El boriqua Jonathan jonath Jonathan Sanchez oh man yeah yeah wow this guy had a jobs forever the guy batting practice yeah that is true yeah hey now explain to me why why you have Dyan SE above Paul skins I I would do want to hear that the only re so okay I I know you were going to ask me about this the it's it's just an Innings thing that's it um for me it's it's it's more of an Innings thing listen you could make the argument for Paul skes I like you did before I I don't have I'm not mad at it I just think Dylan sees um over the whole year I mean he's been in the majors the whole year you know I kind of when it comes to these things I kind of look at it like um you know Innings matter to me as far as how long have you done it how long have you been around so that's the only thing it's just an Innings thing for me I mean I'm not mad either way if Paulk gets more votes it is what it is you know but no I get you I get you it's just the ER man the ra kills me I mean Dylan C 3.43 and you're talking about a guy at 2.16 I mean yeah yeah no I get it you're wrong I don't say that often but you're wrong it's it's false I'm wrong no listen I okay but I can accept that no listen I can accept that I and I understand that Paul skins is going to get votes I no doubt about it but I just to me I I reward longevity a little more I I think if a guy has done it long I don't think Paul skin has had enough time now he's been great but I'm saying I don't think Paul skins has had enough time to f up or for people to figure him out yet I agree all right now we're going to the most I would say hm is the most controversial ones all right I'mma start with the national league right no you know what I'll start with the American League because that want it's a little bit less less controversial yes and number three I got Jose Ramirez number two I got Bobby Whit Jr number three I got Aaron judge who you got all right so for a MVP my my top three number three I got Juan solo uh number two I got Bobby Wick Jr love him as a player and uh number one I got Aaron judge I just think Aaron judge is just on a different planet right now no no no of course he's the best hitter this year he's the best hitter this year and maybe of our of this 2020 era he might be the best hitter for sure to me I think so yeah so the thing in where we vary right is with the Juan sto and Jose Ramirez I think my opinion that Jose Ramirez has been more valuable to his team maybe not the best statistically better than Juan sto but just more valuable than Juan sto Ah that's that's the that's the that's the argument I'm gonna make to you when I talk about the National League MVP all right all right yeah go ahead go ahead you no no no but about this one so Jose ramire listen I agree with you listen if you ask me I like Jose Ramirez better I'm not even a big Soo fan we know that we know that I was surprised when I saw mentioned this okay I have mentioned this Pera the guy has bald this year I can't not even a hater like me can can dispute that and it's not that I'm a Juan sto hater you know what bothers me and the what really bothers me about him is there's a little bit of a nonchalantness to him there's a little and you might notice you notice it nobody talks about it this year because he wants to get paid that's why I'm afraid to pay him he has like this little LAX thing to him that I don't like I'm afraid of paying him and that's what nobody's talking about remember Cano had it you know Cano had a big I don't see it too much on on Juan Soo I think he's a he's a Workhorse at least from what I've seen like the videos and how his mindset is complet completely different from I don't want to say like Dominican players but his mindset is different like he he sees the game different you know uh he's notos he's very cerebral he's very is like on this side and then Juan is on this side you know like oh and then on the middle you have like a willia damis you know like yes yes yes you're 100% I love that that that comparison is you got the Jose CD and the what's the other guy's name I no no no yeah but I mean on on that same side the the freaking uh Morel I can't stand Mor oh I hate players like that and it's not personal guys it's not person people I know I know because they hate the messenger that's why if I was Dominic and it's not because you're saying it because I mentioned it's like Eddie Rosario you don't really like I can't stand Ed rosar hot dog I can't stand guys like that I 100% Salto Okay the reason I brought up stto real quick so the reason why I say stto right was because he knows what time it is he's going to get paid yeah he hasn't stopped hitting for the most part outside of a little injury he had remember he had a injury a couple months ago yeah um remember and the reason why I think he's very valuable too yes Aaron judge would have put up numbers anyway you take Salto and judge away from that lineup what is that lineup That lineup is zero as right right ass okay so to me and now now Ramirez I like Ramirez better than stto he's been more consistent over his career than stto and lastly the reason why I wouldn't have paid sto as I've mentioned before it's it's look at the two years prior to this year look at the three years prior to this year go ahead look at it outside of walks okay cuz everybody loves walks I get it the war is decent look at the numbers there's fluctuation there Jose Ramirez has been more consistent over his career but everybody loves Juan sto more I love juano man yeah he's just I get it he's just like he's just like the it's eye candy watching him do the shuffle and all that stuff people love him that's the real swag he's got Swagger yeah yeah I love and listen J is is a potential Hall of Famer yeah um we we spoken about this yeah yeah yeah yeah I love him I love him so if Lindor played third base right if Lindor was a third baseman who had he would be Jose Ramirez that's who he would be we'll talk about that now so NL tell me your top three I'll give you my top three go ahead no you go oh I go okay I go excuse me so all right number three I got Francisco Lindor although I would have all right we'll talk about yours in a minute but Francisco Lindor number three number two sh Otani I know you know okay like everybody else but it is what it is right Marcelo Suna number one the caveat is he gotta win the Triple Crown that's the caveat but uh those are my top three man so I would love for Marcelo sunna I'll give you top three first I'll give you Kel M number three number two Marcelo sunna number one shotani so number three I gotta explain it because you know Marcelo we'll we'll talk about that in a second but I want to talk about LOL versus Mal real quick so in my opinion Kel Mal and lindol what separates them on the race is whoever makes the playoffs I can't put top if you're not going to make the playoffs how valuable really are you Mal I know he's been out for you know he's gonna be out for 10 days but he got Arizona right there on the top of the Wild Card you feel me and they've suffered since he left good point that's the reality good point and right now his war is above everybody you know like he if it was only for war he would win the award so you know that's why all right and I love I love K Mal and I would have put you asked me a few days ago I would have put above Lindor but the only reason I put Lindor and you can flip a coin honestly if you see numeros offens okay because I can I don't want to I'm not a stat geek but I can go crunch defensive numbers I can tell you lindor's defensive numbers are better and he plays a harder position but he does but from start to now Kel Kel Marte hadn't hadn't stopped now he had he had a very little bit small dips in production lately but and then he got hurt but that happens to anybody his numbers are ridiculous the only reason I I put Lindor over Kel Marte is that I'm Puerto Rican I'm just kidding so the reason I put him there what is because of the value part okay now I understand what you're saying Mets do got to make the playoffs you're right but take Lindor off of the Mets take Kel Marte off the Arizona what do you have if you take Lindor off the Mets they're screwed they're done they're not winning anything they probably right there on shortstop you know it's not the same though you know I like I like Jose gesia but Jose gesia is is a a glove first guy doesn't have speed you know he's a decent player make contact but it's not the same you know no I know so to me I you can flip a coin whatever I I Love Ken Mar and the numbers are and the war is close now I know there's another thing too think about where Lindor started at to where he's been he's made up a lot of ground he's made up a lot of ground he started very very they were booing him that's how bad it was he basically had to go back to the drawing board that guy was struggling but if anybody knows about his career he struggles at the beginning and then he you know he comes back on the um he because here's how bad he struggles he always finishes last year he finished with 3030 before that he had 20 plus home runs before that same thing he struggled so much he hasn't made an All-Star since since 2019 that's why he doesn't get S he start you're right you're right you're right it's not just the bias I think the bias is due to the fact that he starts slow they're like oh he we very slow that's what it is yeah and I yeah and I think the Mets too to be honest with you and and is the reverse effect I think the nation as a country right nationally not uh as far as City New York locally yeah nationally there's a LOL Mets thing it just is what it is so if you're M it's not the same as when you wear a Yankee uniform so look I want you to tell me real quick uhuh what's more valuable to you a 4040 season we sh Otani just did it or a Triple Crown Marcelo sunna they're both the ages what is more valuable I think it depends on the team so for example for I can make the argument now in a conventional sense is 4040 more valuable for a team most likely but in a when you look at everybody that's gone down when in Atlanta Azie Alis is is gone Akuna Jr gone H what what's the name the first the first basem um blano say which one or or who's the guy or the third baseman the guy that's one of the the big guys are gone or Austin Riley Austin Riley yeah you're right they signed orella right third baseman gone right they've had a million injuries and the one constant from and again this is sort of like rewarding tenure and time oluna has not stopped before that big home run in the game on Saturday night oh sorry Friday night the walkoff Grand Slam Otani had gone cold so he's had more slumps you know I know the 4040 is cool and the war is there too obviously the war is gonna be way higher I understand that yeah but Osuna has not stopped hitting he hasn't and he's on a sh he's on a sinking ship so for that reason I I I in in this for this particular argument Osuna is more valuable to Atlanta because they'd be so lost without him as opposed to the Dodgers without Otani so my only thing you know against that is Otani hasn't had the help that he thought that he was going to have if that makes sense you know the only Conant after him has been deand after that Muki bets Freddy Freeman for personal reasons they've been out so he doesn't have the protection that he thought that he was going to have and he's had to you know adjust to that you know like basically he had to go back to you know when he was at the angels for example that he was the only guy because Mike TR was always hurt you know oh yeah so in my opinion I think right now right now show helani he's a bound to be the MVP don't talk to me about being the stheart of the MLB all of this stuff no he's been valuable to the dod he is is he is he is but he is more valuable even even and it might be controversial for Dominicans but even if Marcelo sunna wins the Triple Crown it doesn't matter it's gonna be sh Otani that's a real okay that's a different argument though but you you heard what you said you said even if he wins the Triple Crown it's gonna be sh Otani yeah I agree with that I think it's gonna be him anyway I don't think they're gonna deny him I just I'm just saying how I would vote it if the caveat for me the only caveat the only difference between sh or Marcel is this because sh is gonna have the war right yeah um regardless Marcel doesn't steal bases I think you you have you have more speed than Marcelo sunna for sure right so so here's the thing it I just the caveat is just the Triple Crown just to me for that team I just think if he wins the Triple Crown I think it's hard to not give him the award but I think like you said I think they're going to give it to Otani anyway yeah anyways all right so now we are going to the MLB standings predictions all right so we're going to start with the easy ones right we're gonna start with the I want to start with the National League West right ah wow okay you're throwing a curve ball yeah yeah yeah I'm G start you know everybody starts with the AL East but no I'm going start with the NL West and and I want you to tell me your team I mean I got the Dodgers right now they're winning what four games above Arizona well the NL West uh division right yeah yeah yeah NL West Division um yeah yeah yeah um I'm with you there yeah for sure all the way there's no there's no I don't think that the Padres can make up that that distance I think if they would have started better they probably could have because I think yeah if you ask me I think San Diego's played better as a team uh Dodgers have been not overrated they're always overrated right but I think that people don't realize that after that big three that they have in Theos I can't call him big four but I can call him big three right yeah yeah that lineup kind of you know it's like the it's like the Yankees if you take Aaron judge and and Juan SoDo you know yeah you can't have you can't have Kik nandez playing every day no and and and I I love Kik and nandez if he plays two or three times in a week you know I mean how many highlights do I got to see on Instagram with him [ __ ] pitching I mean come on like and I'm saying this I'm I can say this wow bro you hitting like what are you hitting like 202 we're supposed to celebrate that he's throwing a pitch and he's playing all over the diamond like come on the I'm not impressed sorry I'm not impressed not impressed so I'mma I'm going skip it a little bit for people because for the national league we got the same guys we got the same teams we already know it's gonna be DOD Milwaukee and the Phillies that's it yeah it's not that's not those are the three guys nothing interes about all right now I want you to talk to me about the wild card on the national league the only thing the only thing are the Mets going to Mak it I want to ask this question to you personally are the Mets going to win the wild card for the national league okay I think this one I wrote with my heart bro because my mind is telling me no chance okay history is telling me not the especially Atlanta I don't care who's on the team they could put you me Yousef and cladio on the on the roster they still will hit home will still be good the Braves will still beat the Mets it don't matter who they put there um my heart says the Mets my brain says probably Atlanta but I'm gonna stick with the with the Mets just because I want to do I just want to debate you so I put I get you I get you believe me I I get you 100% I mean Braves are hurt they've been they I mean they've kind of floating they're floating they're kind of treading water but better the Braves they got a four at some point no I hope no they're not they're not they got the they got the they got the second best player right now on their team on the national league they're not gonna lose I think that you the only case that you could have made was basically that this guy's come down to earth San Diego because they've been playing out of their mind in my opinion you know I don't think that it would have been if San Diego would have been on third place on the wild cart I could have seen the Mets but at the end of the day the Mets are the Mets and they'll Mets it out you know met it out they're gonna met it they're gonna Mets it up they're gonna M it up yeah basically all right I I hope you're wrong bro I I know what it is it's history I get it it's hard to combat history bro you you don't believe it until you see it oh for sure for sure I get it all right so AL West AL Central I'll spoil it we have Houston oh wait I didn't know you went another route okay a AL Central tell me why do you have a on the AL Central you have Cleveland why would I not have Cleveland Cleveland has been Cleveland's been in first place the whole year yeah I know this is a very this is a very boring take but it's true like I I believe didn't we just mention right that a manager of the Year Steven V why would he let that team fall off I I just think Cleveland they got that they they're very Scrappy I don't know like I think they're gonna be a they're gonna present problems in the playoffs I just have this feeling that they're gonna be one of those teams that's gonna go on a run um you know I'm serious because think about it their lineup is slum proof they don't rely on a lot of home runs and you know Boppers like like I could see I could see I mean that kid Noel that kid Noel is it's a big swing guy you know yeah but but most of their lineup doesn't it's not like that doesn't reflect that even even Jose Ramirez is slum proof in a way you know like he's a line drive guy he can hit line drives but you know Quan these guys are not you know that like he's an accept like like Noel is doing a great job um the rookie um but Noel is doing a great job but he's an exception to the rule a big yeah he reminds me he's a big kid big strong kid he's he's you know big strong I mean much much will yes same body yeah yeah much but yeah I just think that they're just I think they'll hold on so I think Kansas City's gonna win it right now they're one game behind but I do believe that they have the right pitching that's all it is that's all it comes down to on the regular season how healthy are your pitchers are they good and I think that they got better pitching than Cleveland Guardians in my opinion that's all it is in terms of lineup you can argue that you know Cleveland has a better lineup but and a better relever of course I mean no discussion with yeah of course but Kansas City has been consistent said Lugo came down to earth a little bit but they got an ace they got Kyle Reagan of course and I think eddic F or Eric fi whatever his name is I never know how they always got a lot of guys with weird names I know why why do the Royals always got these guys I think they're all like Italian Guys yeah oh yeah Fett fetty FY fetty fed fed fed but that's my only argument against him I think that Kansas City is going to got him that's how kids are saying it now they're going to got him yeah eventually that's right we we got a we we're in tune with the youth we got our our post we got we got our fingers on the pulse of the youth let me tell you something about my days about my day yo you yo you him you what him you him your kids never real quick I'm sorry but your kids never tell you something you're like what does that mean what yeah all the time bro all the time I be having a Google stuff man I'm I be feeling old bro I be like damn Co I'm out of touch bro yeah I'm still telling you yo that was popping like no nobody talks like that no more like my D I said something the other day my son looked at me like like you're so like lame dad but yeah he doesn't want to tell me that because he wants me to still buy him toys and stuff but yeah yeah he looked at me like but trying to be cool that's not cool that yeah yeah no oh yeah not cool a least I'll spoil it for myself I hate it and I hope that it doesn't happen but I can't see Baltimore losing this N L East man I just can't see it oh the a East can't see it yeah a East I mean they got it I think Baltimore got it over the Yankees man I'm sorry believe including me no but I know you you want to be wrong you're doing you're doing like the reverse jinx no not the reverse I mean I think that they've been more consistent you know and once they got a what's his kid from the Phillies that they got a oh Santo yeah s anony Dominguez bro he's been killing it he he just took kimra out I was like I didn't know you had this in you I mean I knew you were a long reliever but I didn't see you a closer and he's been great man he's been great yeah great great and I got to be honest man the Yankees they don't have a closer man so they've been suffering they would have ran with the with the with the NL with the AL East if they had a closer but since they don't this is what you get I I think I get it I maybe this is part of okay so in this in this case with the Yankees is the opposite for me as far as with the AO East I got the Yankees winning the AO East and this has to do with history I just and it's it's a stupid way to think it's a flawed way to think but uh I think that Baltimore when the lights are bright I I saw when the Mets beat the Orioles two out of three I saw I saw some flaws in that team okay they got they got some swing and Miss now the Yankees pitching needs to hold up and remember they're going to deal with each other before the end of the season I believe they end the season yeah three games they still got three games against each other yeah so so um I think the Yankees will Edge out the orios in first place yeah I mean the orios I think have um they're right there in terms I was looking for the the hardest schedule but to be honest they they all have like kind of an easy coming forward yeah I mean the the white SS the Colorado Rockets and Detroit on man crappy schedules bro God damn all right they gotta fatten up they gotta fatten up the last thing right in terms of the ml e standings tell me who's your who are your guys like in terms of the wild card for the AL who do you got yeah so a wild card for me uh let me see okay so obviously because I had mentioned that the Yankees would win the division just the first wild card would be Baltimore I think Yan win probably by a game you know first place to me so I think I got Orioles in the number one wild card number two I got Kansas City because I mentioned Cleveland will win the division right and then I got Minnesota there um Minnesota's gonna I really want to see Minnesota for selfish reasons I want to see Minnesota in the playoffs because I want to see Carlos Cor in the playoffs so that's me I just want to say because that's the only time he's any good so so for me same thing we just flip-flopped Yankees Cleveland Minnesota but I'm sorry but I want to talk real quick about one thing before we go into 7 and 30 he I know that they just fired their their guy right um Seattle Scott Sur surveys Sur Sur it's been a while this guy what was 10 year nine years with the team he's been there long enough yeah yeah yeah so in my opinion he had no fault on Julio Rodriguez getting hurt he had no fault on a basically the team not being able to produce offensively I think that to be honest the pitching has been good and I think that's where I evaluate the guys ingame decisions that's all that matters to me like if you make the right decisions it three times out of 10 I'm good with that or half of the time right and I think he was a serviceable like guy I mean you had them for for nine years I mean there was a reason but for some reason they always flamed out at the end and it happened again they just flamed out he they had the NL West and now like nothing not even on the not even on the Wild Card race there're six and a half games back I don't like um you know when it comes to I Don't Like the Way Seattle has constructed their lineups for a long time um they have a philosophical issue when it comes to constructing lineups they've done good at scouting and developing pitching but their their offense just continues I mean they went and picked the Randy AR Ro Arena one of the most overrated players in baseball I I'm not a big ad roara fan he hasn't been good in two years yeah okay you know like they could have they should have gotten a better bat than that now I don't know if they could have because it's very hard to you know but I I blame the GM on this I agree with you I don't think Sur um surve uh the man the former manager did a bad job I don't think he deserve to lose his job and I would have loved for Manaka to pick it up but at the end of the day you don't have I like Manaka I no no I love him you know what hurts M no no I love Manaka I think what I think he's learned from some of his past 10 years um he's a bright guy players manager um he's still young still fairly young um you know bilingual professional I would love to see Manaka get a new job like he deserves a fresh start I would love that's a separate that's on the side but I would love to see maniaa get another opportunity and to be honest I mean I don't know how he deals with with Julio Rodriguez a but you know he's a manican he's gonna be there for 10 years you might as well have somebody you know that he respects that he likes anyways there anybody if there's anybody who I could I would build I'm sorry we're going off on a tangent quickly if there's anybody I would build my franchise around Julio Rodriguez is that guy like everybody's off the Julio Rodriguez bandwagon I understand that but he's a young guy who you you put too much pressure on him you put too much on this kid he needs help okay so Seattle if you're listening they're probably not but yeah no give this guy help he can't carry a team by himself he needs help so give him help I believe in Julio Rodriguez and I stand by that so yeah I'll call that as the first question of the SE I'm G give you six more now these have to be fast this is a how do you call it a not a yeah speed round so what is it a speed round or yeah a speed round basically like minutes we're going to go boom boom boom boom number one tell me who's having a better season Ellie de Cruz or Francisco Lindor this is not a debate all right go Francisco Lindor but I mean if you would have talked about the first half you could have made it a better argument but uh I mean DEA Cruz is not consistent enough offensively yet and he's he's just scratching the surface but he's he's he's not a short stop I'm sorry hey I just I just wanted to make the clip with you because I I know you were going to go off but if people don't know you love El De La Cruz more than I do actually so I I do love I love De La Cruz and and and you notal hater no no no we're very we're very objective we don't do this you know we don't do this sharp stuff no we don't do that no we're very objective we don't do that we know we know all right ER Mariners they hire eal Martine as the hidden coach for the rest of 2024 what do you think so I I love the opportunity for him but boy I gotta tell you it's like oh here edar we we can't hit we need you this sound this is desperate this is a desperation Ploy and I love Ed to the Yankees yeah EG right right Edgar hey Edgar come here we one of our best players of all time come over here please help us bail us out your boy no I don't I don't think it's yeah it's desperation it's desperation and at the end of the day the manager that is that is coming I don't know who who is coming but let's say for example it's Mania that for example then most likely he'll keep edal Martine but it shouldn't be the job of the of the general manager to hire somebody that you know it's going to be interim you know unless unless they were loyal to surveys and they just like you know what I'm leaving with surveys I don't know I'm willing to bet you CU remember he's been the hitting coach before yeah okay I'm willing to bet you we'll save this clip maybe I I doubt I'll be wrong he will not be back there next year almost guarante Edgar does not want to be a Dugout yeah I would agree all right number three the Dbacks move Jordan Montgomery to the Bullen what the hell is going on Jordan Montgomery doesn't have Bullpen stuff he's not having a great year they're trying to figure out okay how can we make him earn his money he's had a bad year there's no other way to say it uh he hasn't had a good year the diamond Arizona hasn't been good to him this is a bad move I think it's gonna backfire you don't put a struggling starting pitcher in the bullpen no you never do doesn't work Phil Hughes not not mid year not mid year maybe if the next year if you want to experiment better or not to to start a Year yes maybe but not in the middle of the Year bad logically I think that the free agency he talked about it he was like they basically effed me up like SC f up he fired him and everything so I think that you know it wasn't good for him number four the Dodgers designate Jason Hayward for a Simon the question is it's more did he live up to the hyp no no never first of all there were so many many times in the season where I forgot he was even in the major leagues I'm like how what is he still doing around like this guy wasn't even good in his prime like he's had moments but I I heard all the oh J the J kid J kid oh my God he's so wonderful you know since Atlanta oh he does everything well 52 player no sorry sorry was he a total scrub no not necessarily but it wasn't what they made him out to be uh nice guy I'm sure wish him well in retirement H enjoy retirement you think that's it that he's going to retire he should damn unless he want look we'll take him in Puerto Rico if he wants to play in Puerto Rico he he'll be like the cleanup hit over there so listen yeah it was underwhelming God damn it was underwhelming I don't know if you remember he hit a home run not on his first at bat but on the first baseball that he saw he hit a home run yeah remember man this kid is special man and this was the highlight of this was the highlight of his career basically he was he was an Allstar once in his whole tenure and that was his rookie year that was it like his rookie of the year I mean he wasn't Rookie of the Year it was Buster posy 2010 but that was like the year for him to shine and after that it was underwhelming apart from Will like golden the the Gold Glove like four I don't know like four times maybe so yeah he was a good Fielder I gota be honed me he reminded me of a lesser a lesser version lesser version or or similar to Jackie Bradley Jr just with less with less hype jackiey J is still trying to make it to the to the to the base again you know that and I used to love him yeah he's in the Met organization I was a big Jackie Bradley Jr fan because I I'm I'm a defensive fanboy so I love his defense but um he never hit enough you know to to Warrant that money or or to Warrant a big contract at all all right so Astros to sign ector NIS what do you think I think that there's you know the Astros are very good with pitchers um especially Latino pitchers Dominican they love Dominican relief pitchers love they they can never have too many you know they they need to meet their quota they need like five or better so like all let's get another we need a we're short of Dominican we need another one so we got Dominican Clos relievers now this is a why not take a flyer I I I tell you Hector NY scares the crap out of me in a big spot oh for sure man I've never been a big fan I've seen him in the noes get lit up like a Christmas tree but he's had good moments too and I think if anybody can fix him I think the Astros can fix him yeah and he kind of looks like Joe's McFly yeah he does actually damn you know J mfly is Dominican no that's crazy though what gave that away what gave that [Music] away I know that the shirt okay no no he does yeah he doesn't acknowledge I exist but one day he'll he'll know he'll me all right last one Joey V announces his retirement is he a first ballot Hall of Famer he's a no ballot Hall of Famer he's not a Hall of Famer I'm sorry go for it he's not a Hall of Famer he's not a I know everybody loves oh yeah he walks a 100,000 times I love it he's averages a 100 walks 50 times in his career I love it oh I love that he doesn't swing the bat I love it let's pay you to walk um no he's to be honest he he was a very good player good defensive player uh you know good power um if you notice in his career if you take a look you can see towards the later stages of his career he was he became way too passive way too passive earlier in his career he used to swing the bat more he he started to become too in love with the walk and I think it hurt his production because there's some years where he hits 30s something home runs and the RBI numbers are kind of low so I always wanted him to drive in more runs but that's just his approach so ver Hall of the very good is where he goes to me so the only guy that I can equate him to is like Tony peris you know as a first baseman type of thing a you know he got 379 home runs Joey vad right now 356s you know 11 1144 RBIs I mean it doesn't scream Hall of Famer in my opinion right and if I have to think about it I would normally say no right he's not a first ballot Hall of Famer but I do think that he's gonna go in that's just my intuition I think he'll get in people love him especially the media loves him you know and I think he's a funny guy I think he's just like he's Goofy and stuff yeah they like that and they love that at the end of the day I think that he's a Hall of Famer maybe on the eighth year people will realize like you know what he was great his war was great he was good defensively he won an MVP you know what let's get him in there he never had any fights like we we see people all the time that you know they'll make excuses not to get him in Carlos welan oi what's his name not oang I'm sorry a the short up for for Venezuela oh oh no bis I mean bis obviously so I think that you know if he's on the ballot and somebody dislike somebody else because of how they treat a media or something they're GNA put him above him and I think he's GNA get that threshold of 75% eventually the bot you think be third fourth year just because of the way people vote now I just think that he's gonna get they'll find some scientific formula to vote him in he hton it's it's a good ATT Tempo too you know I mean Ty Hilton the onlyon was better but he was better he was better I don't think people realize how good Todd Hilton was very good player and they just like if you didn't see him then you would think that that was a course Field Effect but in reality no he was really good he was good for many years anyway I thought Todd hton was tremendous and yeah I don't think vad I mean V's gonna get in but if you ask me I wouldn't vote him in so just on just to be on record you you know hypothetically as they say gun to your head life or death you wouldn't vote him in right you don't view him necessarily as a hame no no no if like I said if I have to think about it uh you're not a Hall of Famer like once it it like boom you're a Hall of Famer I mean without a question like people mention your name you're a Hall of Famer my dad used to say that a lot if I don't know him if I don't know him then he's not a Hall of Famer and my dad was just casual if I don't know him he's not a Hall of Famer yeah no no I agree with that I agree with that and it makes it tricky because you know first also another thing to to before we wrap up another thing is first base is a very the position is loaded like you had so many great it's such an offensive position so that to me is where I draw the line where it's like now I understand like you have guys like for example the wars are not high on guys like Andres galaraga um you know or Carlos Delgado their Wars are low relatively speaking to the position but their power numbers are better than vad so yeah you know so it's and they're not in so but based on the War I think he what it's got like a 64 War based on depending on where you look to be honest 64.5 it's really good like it's it's really good but for first baseman though you got to remember for first baseman uh and I believe it's higher than Tony Paris as well if I'm not mistaken so H they might use that to justify it as well so yeah I think so yeah it's it's uh yeah it's uh Tony Perez was at 53.9 yeah higher than his I believe higher than pering as well I mean they're different eras though but oh he waston too damn you know what maybe I'm selling him short maybe he is a Hall of Famer maybe he is God damn no don't don't don't flipflop now don't do that to me now I I listen I would I be mad if he gets in of course not no Malia but I just feel like that they're watering the Hall of Fame down a little bit and the standards are higher for certain people than than others I I don't think it's it becomes a popularity country no you can say it for Latinos is a it's a milestone to to get in you know Billy Wagner is about to go in and then Francisco Rodriguez is just like like help me out and he it's funny saes what and it's funny right it's funny when you mention that because to Yousef and I I said I've talked to this to uh talk to him about this Yousef puts him down puts KRA down like he's so like he's scrub I'm like no no no he wasn't I don't he likes Billy Wagner more than krod and I don't understand youf between between between us I'll tell him I like bust his chops he he has this thing with with Venezuelan players I don't know what he puts them down like I think is he's trying to but yeah I think so he tried he has this issue with Venezuelan players I be telling him you can't sleep from Bobby Bob AB he likes Bob AB no he likes Bob AB Bob not a Hall of Famer no of the very good all of the that's another good example no no he would there's so many people there's so many people on the Hall of very good that you don't realize how you know like yeah how many people Al Alonso Sano and Dominicans hate me when I say this but yeah if I I if you have a guy who didn't he has no position outside of being a dominant DH like like Big Poppy outside of that case right or Edgar sodano played the field every day was not good anywhere he was like that matters like he was not good at second base he was not good at he was good nowhere he could hit I'll tell you this a the way that I can a see the hall very good is if that player played for a team for a long tenure for more than you know eight years or whatever and he makes it to their Hall of Fame the good attempt was Aram Ramirez I think he's the Hall of very good and he made the Hall of Fame of the Cubs for example right in my opinion that's a great very good way of like yeah great career not a hall of Bernie Bernie Williams same Williams bada same thing those aren't Hall of Famers to me correct I think they're great and and boras hate me when I say that I'm like bro I'm not gonna just say it because you want me to say it like those aren't Hall of Famers that's not a say they're not ofers only is should be is Carlo Delgado he's not Hall of very good he's a Hall of Famer to me he is too I know the world l that's what it is too the what the war is not high I think that's what they that and also the anti the the the national anthem thing killed him yeah no no no that killed him that that completely killed them yeah no I agree and but you compare his numbers to Bro compare his numbers to Jim Tom compare them to Frank Thomas compare them the same thing like better than Paris better than sepa basically the Joey vad okaye you can make it for caros Salgado he was basically he was 37 I'm sorry 27 home runs from being a Hall of Famer if he would have gotten the 500 500 that was it that was it good point it's amazing how that that the stupid number the Milestones right what's the difference between 470 whatever 474 whatever it was and 500 right it's just the perspective what you how you think of a guy and I don't know why he to be honest I don't know why he retired on 2009 because I think if he would have played one more year oh it was killing him it was bad yeah he signed the contract with Boston and he had a bad hip he he tried to come back he rehabbed it he couldn't that's it he HT his hip he couldn't turn on the ball that was it he can't hit that's it listen 38 home runs before that like the year on 2008 he had home runs with the Mets yeah with the Mets yeah no no I mean he yeah he was a great player and and I have no shame of say he was the greatest Slugger from Puerto Rico was the greatest Slugger from Puerto Rico that's not a knock on anybody that's just what it was it was the greatest Slugger we've ever had from Puerto Rico and and you know and he played clean there was no steroid allegations nothing so no nothing at all all right Santos this is it a man this was great bro I I appreciate you all the time we always you know we always keep it
