Thanks for joining us here at five tonight. A 16 year old girl is dead and a woman is in jail after an SUV drove through a crowd of people in downtown Minneapolis overnight. Sammy Selena is in the newsroom with an update from police just within the last few hours. Morgan video going around on social media shows an SUV on fifth street and Hennepin Avenue. The vehicle then backs up turns and drives through a crowd of people. According to Minneapolis, police, six people were taken to the hospital including the 16 year old girl who died. Police believe two of the injured are 14 year old girls with non life threatening injuries. Three adults in their twenties were also hurt including a woman who is critical. Police believe there was a fight between a group of people involving teenagers, adults and the suspect. Official officials say that woman that suspect then got into a vehicle and drove it into the crowd. That driver was followed by a witness. Police, sheriff's deputies and the state patrol stopped the UV in North Minneapolis Bryant Avenue, North and 23rd. This was clearly not random. This individual was present for that fight that was happening with the crowd of people so clearly targeted by this person as senseless and inp as that is, it is, it is not random. The 22 year old suspect was arrested. Police have not yet released the identity of the teenager who died.
