Mato just that was close uh can you believe how close and do you have regrets or you just proud of the week no no no no regrets it was um yeah very difficult race and I have to be really satisfied with uh my performance the whole week and um I have no regrets it it was really a good day and I leave here super happy just how much did you turn yourself inside out there once Primos was dropped at 5K out working with Derek and Carlos and then how much of your experience uh went into that ride yeah it was uh it was a tough moment I have to say I was already on the limit 5ish K to go and um I just found something else I yeah I was thinking yeah really the whole day about about t she was kind of uh motivating me the whole morning and yeah saying that it's possible and yeah I just um try to do my my absolute best effort and um yeah not much more to say than that it was it was close and and um yeah I also now know what it feels like to finish second and um I know what Brandon felt like at par so it was uh yeah it was a good day poor kid won't won't let you forget that Brandon oh yeah I shouldn't have wed that up so M did you sense PR was wobbling a little bit on the last climing well give us a bit of a running commentary of those fast last 5 kmet when it looked at one point as you may even win the race yeah I I on the four claw the first climb of the day I it was really hard Pace cuz the break was was going and uh there were a lot of attacks from mid GC guys like in the top 10 and so yeah I was following some stuff and I felt quite good but I I got a feeling that Primos was a bit on the limit there and um also T I think got the same feeling and so he was uh afterwards motivating me and yeah I also have to say I woke up this morning really believing that um yeah that that it could be possible to win today and and I feel like I was getting better the whole week um every single stage that's um that's a big that's a big thank you to my coach Tim hirk he really knows what he's doing but um but yeah and then the last 5K to give you rundown basically um to PLO attacked and really put everyone on the limit it felt like um I mean at least put me on the limit and then uh Carlos went over the top at a certain point rodri guys and there primas didn't follow and so that gave me a sign that yeah he he wasn't that far down so I yeah I felt that he was uh struggling a bit I was also struggling a lot but I I followed and then eventually I wasn't looking back but I heard on the radio that he was distanced and from there uh I just had to kind of make sure I was still worried about Derek G to be honest he uh he's an unknown quantity to me and um yeah he was so close to me in the in the GC that I didn't want to like go all in and then have him come over the top if he had something left so I was being a bit conservative and um yeah wanted to yeah sorry I was uh yeah I I was just trying to stay Within Myself and then um and then yeah at the end once he was dropped then I could just give everything to the line and um didn't work out today but maybe maybe it will next year than conservative [Music]
