NASCAR CUP SERIES AT DARLINGTON RACEWAY RACE REVIEW-(9/1/24)

[Music] ladies ladies ladies I'm here tonight on that and I'm here to talk about the Cup race immediately is that it's immediately after it's ended here then I'll do the Philly Braves recap and then I'll do the LSU USC recap who busy day here ladies and gentlemen busy night I'll say um me at Darlington tonight um through the first two stages and half of the third stage um it was honestly pretty boring race but once we got that host of our spin everything changed the strategy the strategy changed just different M different strategies a big crash we got another win and you're in the last race of the regular season Chase Brisco Kyle bus two drivers that need to win to get in the playoffs Kyle bus was close he could have shipped it in there ARCA break Chase Brisco and wrecked him to win that race he was close enough I don't want to hear oh he wasn't close enough he definitely was close enough to where he could see in the corner and wrecked him put him in the wall but he didn't this is a CR Jewel for Chase Brisco congratulations to him and to make the nicecar playoffs to win a southern 500 just what a win from Chase Brisco remember that a throwback to 2020 where Chase Brisco beat Kyle Bush in the Xfinity series of Darlington we got a repeat of that here basically but yeah it was a I feel bad for Kyle bus and BB and also poor buer he had such a good shot so much went wrong for him this year with Kansas Darlington Bubba getting caught up in that wreck after having a really good race early just went downhill and then gets caught up in that big big accident but those last few laps were CA just clean driving I mean I didn't think the race was good I didn't think it was a good race though but that's how on NASCAR race shut in no dumb crashes close clean racing unless you have to get dirty for the win but you got to give credit to chase Brisco he held off one of the best uh to win it I mean the race did turn into R fast in the third stage but that's really how A nce car race is now average 2024 Cup race in the final stage but hey it made the race more exciting to be honest it made it a lot more exciting um just with the strategy fresh tires getting through the field I I I didn't I thought Kish would get him but once he got in his wake he just couldn't get close enough to try and get side by side um Kyle could have played dirty for the win last week he and didn't he could have done tonight and he didn't he gave it his own just fell short and he's real and he's R rcr's run better these last few weeks uh with them I mean the dirty air was absolutely bad but con was trying I mean but the race definitely still wasn't good but also Tyler re want to mention him wins um wins the 2024 regular season championship by one single point over Kyle Larson man you need to get you need get you need to get Ty rck some new uh new draws um cuz he [ __ ] himself during the race I think I think he [ __ ] himself during the race so yeah uh he starts as a regular season CH the regular season Champion with a good points Gap he crapped his pants M the race and still won it oh yeah the race was in Chris Kyle bus and Chris busher were both this close to making the playoffs this year when Chris busher got beat by Larson at Kansas and Kyle Bush at Atlanta by Daniel Suarez and Ryan blay berer would be berer and would have been in if they won one of them two races but you know P pumped for I'm bumped for busher but I'm pumped for um Chase Brisco but man Chris buer just sucks they didn't make the playoffs this season also want to give your Chase Elliot update he finished 11 somehow tonight I don't know how I mean he fell out of the top 10 because people behind him were on fresher tires but he held on okay 11th is way better than I thought he time he ran about 20th um after just bad strategy and was able to finally get back in lead La finally able to get back in lead lap after being La down for a while and a bunch of cars wrecked and he end up being seventh lost few spots cuz people were on fras your tires but I'll take a seven or 11th Place after all that but I just want to say it's what a drive by Chase Brisco dude's a whe man like he earn that he took that race from Larson a great three wide move pass Chastain held off Kyle Bush dud a Wheelman when he has the car that's capable of driving up front he can keep it up front he's going to do good at jgr what a drive he deserve that he kept up with lson it felt like all day especially on the short run he kept up with him but yeah morson swept the stages he had a really good car him and Brisco I thought were the two best cars um today it was pretty clear they ran one two most of they like most of the second half of that race but yeah the playoff standings Chase will be the seventh seed with 14 playoff points he begins with plus nine to the cut off hang to Atlanta I think I think I'll make it to the round of eight round of 12 I don't know yeah con orison deser or excuse me Chase brco deserve that race I'll get the race I don't know I guess a five out of 10 maybe maybe five out of 10 just because of the second half that finish because the first half of the race most of that race just wasn't good um lader Kyle Orson just stunk up the show drove out to Big leads just not much was happening like there was passing and just not much was really happening on track what the nice car playoffs be though your playoff drivers are sric Brisco kazlowski Ty Gibbs rck Harrison Burton TRX Hamlin Elliot Bowman Lego blay Suarez Larson Byron and Bale is that your playoff field for this year haris Harrison Burton somehow Harrison Harrison Burton is a snake yeah pretty easy it's going to be pretty easy to predict who will be lemonade in the first round probably but I'll do my playoff predictions video in a few days but how can you not be romantic about NASCAR freaking Chase Brisco and Austin de or chase Brisco and Harrison Burton winning their way to the playoffs but Brisco definitely earned it oh let's go what the [ __ ] is happening um but yeah SES one and two not much happened besides TR X and bl crashing out which could have costed TR X his playoff hopes um but luckily for him berer wasn't able to finish top at top 10 in stage two which clinch his spot um Lany was involved didn't really hurt him I guess just for points wise I thought he had really good C practice I would have been curious to see how bla done tonight if he didn't get in that accident but then Larson went stage one stage two nothing really happens the pit stops stage three host of our spins and then we get the Gillan busher crash well Gillan crashed sub Bush up the wall Gillan got spun he was able to continue thankfully get I forgot where he finished um then the bris and then the three then the big crash Barry Gibbs Gregson Bubba Wallace just too many cars in that spot going three wide it wasn't going to work just a huge huge crash unfortunately Bubba got involved D just just sucks man just sucks that's that was pretty much it for them they had a good car early and um and they just fell off and then he got caught in the caught the caught in the wck Fest and then uh Brisco
