The University of Texas now facing a new federal lawsuit over its response to pro Palestinian protests on campus in April. And a new court filing a ut student named Amir Kimmi claims the university violated his first amendment rights by threatening to suspend him for three semesters and keep him off campus after he held to organize the protests that happened on April 24th, Kimmi was arrested that same day but the charge against him was dropped. He says the faculty councils at UT ruled the protest did not violate university rules. So he's calling the disciplinary action quote unlawful. The university has yet to comment on the lawsuit.
