can you hear me Alon yeah I can hear you all right I think we're in guys let us know on Rumble if you can hear us if you're having any issues hearing us uh so we are going to be going live on Rumble from now on just so you guys know and then what I'm going to try to do is just record this and then I'll either just put it up on YouTube or I'll play it live on YouTube even though we won't be live speaking the video may still play live so if you guys want to interact with us and stuff like that um go on over to rumble turn off the turn on notification bell all that stuff um that way you'll know that we're on so um I just kind of like the uh setup a little better over here on Rumble so just so you guys know little bit of bit of a PSA um so if you guys want to interact with this come over here and then I'm trying to figure out because it looks like it almost looks like I have like two different two different uh Rumble Pages or something so I'm trying to figure that out but uh yeah because I'm trying to do it on Mark let go podcast but I'm on my other P I don't know but it posts to both pages but uh yeah just kind of figuring out the Kinks here so if you guys want to interact with us come on here so uh Austin welcome in we got some news to talk about yeah we got the signing day today or early signing day I guess you could say uh seemingly everybody that is supposed to have signed has more or less signed to this point might be a couple of stragglers at the time of this recording um but for the most part everybody's in all the big fish are in um Quinton Martin Luke Reynolds Ethan grunk Meer um all those guys are in uh the last time I checked so all things all all things looking looking good there doesn't seem to be any kind of uh potential defection at the last minute by anybody seems like everybody's pretty much on board here um which has been good um you know and you can't really can't really say that about a lot of other programs past really couple of years or really throughout the entirety of of Franklin's tenure here things have been pretty much status quo um one or two here or there that were a little um dramatic I guess you could say but um for the most part everything went off without a hitch today uh everybody's pretty much locked up and um should have a good chunk of folks uh vying for some time here there's going to be some opportunities on offense and defense for some of these Young Guns to get involved in and make the depth chart or maybe even um you know see some significant snaps as well um which I got two for each side of the ball which I think will be which will be nice and I think the the one key fact which maybe many of you are not aware of is I believe this is going to be the biggest number of uh early enroll Le that Franklin's everever had so when it's all said and done there are 16 players um set to early enroll already in what I guess it's about two weeks now um for the winter time in January for classes uh full Winter Camp um winter conditioning Spring ball uh the whole deal so that's really positive I think that's that's really going to give a lot of these guys a leg up most notably this is the third consecutive year that uh the quarterback commit Ethan grun um he is enrolling early as well so the last three Cycles all the quarterbacks have enrolled early which is uh always really really beneficial for that position group um to get in early to get kind of prepared to get the Playbook and really just get to work on all that kind of stuff so a lot of things going on here um but fortunately for Penn State it seems like they weathered the Signing Day storm with replacing an offensive coordinator a defensive coordinator um and then also getting through the Finish Line um pretty much on scathe which is which is really really nice yeah yeah so it sounds like uh you know there is a lot of news in college football right now but yeah excited about Penn State so uh like early Signing Day Austin um it it was today correct I mean it is today it well it is ongoing as we are speaking Yeah it's not like the official Signing Day um I mean the early signing day has kind of become the deao official Signing Day like 95% of prospects probably sign today okay um which is nice because again a bunch of them probably especially at top programs if you even want to have an opportunity to see the field more or less like you have to enroll early um now again yes there are exceptions to that rule um and also for transfers as well you would like to get in as early as possible there have been some guys that have uh been able to successfully overcome that chop Robinson comes to mind he didn't get here till the summer and obviously was fantastic uh in in game one when they had to play at Wisconsin um I believe in 2021 so always exceptions but the general rule of thumb is getting these guys in early especially at Elite programs where the competition is High um like Penn State and uh a couple of the other Blue Blood programs that we talk about pretty much add nauseum on here um really what you want so this is kind of the deao official Signing Day um and then for who whomever doesn't sign we will have the normal February Signing Day um to kind of iron everything else out but it's this signing period and pretty much the transfer portal that we're really looking at right now again to this point um no wide receivers committed in the portal Penn State is trending in the right direction for a couple of them um most mostly Julian Fleming as well as Andre green as well uh they are they're in the thick of it for so uh it's not like they're doing nothing but we're at a little bit of a wait and see period here um but the compass is pointing in the right direction for those guys which I think would be be big gets but that's the story of of the off season um aside from replacing both coordinators of course um early signing period get that buttoned up and then um move on to getting some much needed um talent and depth at the wide receiver position out of the portal yeah so who's uh who's one of the biggest names um you think you've you've seen so far for pen state in uh in the signing class that could play or yeah well you know uh we'll kind of go you know we'll go offense and then we'll go we'll go defense I I think as far as far as I can tell um my biggest two on offense are going to be luke Reynolds no surprise there top rated player um in the class number number one tight end per 247 Sports um he is going to be enrolling early so he's going to have that opportunity to get in with Chuck Losi and develop his body some before uh before spring camp and then summer camp Etc um so there's going to be an opportunity here for him to put on some good weight and be more physically prepared he's only about 220 pounds right now um kind of similar to kind of how giki was when he came in now he played right away um and you know maybe it wasn't in his best interest he only had I think 11 catches all season um and burn his red shirt and all that kind of stuff but I think he's gonna have a good opportunity with the early enroll uh enrolling process to get in here get to work build up his body and be more physically prepared but with a offensive coordinator like Andy cotal Nei and based upon the tape that I've his previous offenses it's all a chess matchup game of getting your best best guys on the worst matchup for the defense possible and Luke Reynolds is 6 foot6 uh incredible wingspan incredible range um to catch the football um he's just a mismatch nightmare really good athlete so I think that pairing could go a long way um that's why I think he has an opportunity to to kind of break through and see some time but then also Quinton Martin obviously the number one player in Pennsylvania um can play a a myriad of positions running back he could probably split them out in into the uh into the slot as well um you could he could even play defense I mean he played all kinds of positions at Bel Vernon in in PA um really good athlete really good instincts really good um kind of uh he's really good with the ball in his hands you get him the ball in his hands in some space the dude's phenomenal so those are two guys on offense I think have a really good opportunity I think a lot of the linemen probably in line for red shirt as most linemen are um maybe Cooper cousins has an opportunity to maybe kind of see some rotational snaps maybe use the four games um during the season I think that's possible I think he's probably the most physically ready um to play and then on defense I mean I could probably give more than two here but uh uh matter of fact I will I'll give three I think uh I think Liam Andrews is a guy to keep an eye at at the interior at the defensive tackle position um most most people still pretty much seem to think he's probably best suited for offensive line but they're gonna they're gonna give him a crack at defense so we'll see what he can do there uh I saw recently in this past week that he uh he opted to start doing some uh MMA style learning for hand techniques and and um hand fighting techniques to uh to kind of disengage blocks and and and work through guys and and get after the quarterback so that's fantastic to see uh for those that remember that was something that Anthony zettle was really really big on back when he played here early in James Franklin's tenure uh and then I got I got two other guys that are enrolling early on defense that's John Mitchell and Antoine belgrave shorter the two cornerbacks from Florida I think both of those guys with presum ably uh Johnny Dixon is for sure gone we presume dayquan Hardy as well as kin King are also gonna head on to the NFL um so there's going to be opportunities there there's going to be reps to be had at those positions and as James Frankin and many other coaches always say the farther away from the ball that you are the sooner generally you can play um and Penn State's had a pretty rich history particularly under James Franklin of playing freshman or just young players at defensive back getting them out there getting them reps getting them acclimated um and you know obviously uh since the guys we all talked about um just previously the three guys are probably gonna go to the NFL it's worked out pretty well so far so those are three guys on defense two guys on offense that I think could uh could uh you know kind of jump into the mix I guess you you could probably make an argument for ta Cunningham too just because he's so freaking big 64 280 285 already uh coming in um very very physically prepared um so we could we could give him a a little honorable mention shout out but those are the guys I'm looking at right now and and of course you know we'll do our our in-depth breakdowns uh after after everything's all set in stone uh on who for sure is in early enrolling um like you know who actually shows up for classes uh in January so once that happens we'll have a a finalized idea of what's going on and and OB we go through offense defense go position groups um just like we did last year and uh and cover all that yeah so um obviously all that stuff is important uh I'm I'm more into I'm personally more into like who we have now and stuff so as exciting as it is to sign these guys you know they haven't really done anything yet so um I would like to I'm optimistic about this class and a lot of guys we signed but you know at the end of the day we'll see how they come here and do um you know Franklin's really good at recruiting but um you know we'll see how these guys come here and play and play out so you know we've talked in depth about all these guys that we signed and uh everything that they can do everything that they have the potential to do so um yeah that's that's I'm excited about that um but I did see that uh Tom Allen is here uh he's on the big board at the stadium so that's good to see um I you know it's it's it's cool that he's here and again Franklin gets another uh head coach as an assistant so that's good to see doesn't really take a step back when he you know he went from signing Diaz to signing Tom Allen now now Tom Allen I think h H ly he's been a head coach and has more experience with that than Mandy Diaz does so if that's any indication of what he can do then we're in good shape but yeah it's good to have him in town so um aome what are your thoughts on that I mean he is he GNA be helping us with in the bowl game uh he'll probably have some input probably more of like an analyst kind of role to be honest for for the bowl game um but you know I I think the one cool thing is is like you said his experience um another another thing that I think is is a bit underrated when you're talking Tom Allen just because he was kind of tucked away at Indiana and it's kind of just really hard to get very talented players there I think it's more important um to kind of look at him on some of the top guys he was able to get to Indiana and some of the defenses he was able to have early on in his tenure there um because you did get some ball players they had some pretty good players on a couple of those teams I think he's a better recruiter than people maybe think and I think when you put him at a position at a university like Penn State that can already recruit very very well I think you're just going to unlock that capability from him another area that he's really good at is and probably factored into the conversation is Florida I mean he has ties to Florida he's coached in Florida he knows a lot of those folks down there um you know pairing him up with jaywan cider to go down there and fruit sounds like a pretty good idea in my mind um you know obviously Florida's always producing top talent couple of guys like I just mentioned John Mitchell B grave shorter um you know some of those guys I'm from Florida like these are good football players they produce a bunch of them and you got to have the talent and the ability to go down and and get some of the best players from around the country if you want to compete at that level um which of course p they wants to be able to do so I like that I like the hire uh if I believe I think we're going to get introductory press conference tomorrow I think um unless it's also today I that that it may be I'm not entirely sure I've kind of been uh hyper fixated on the early signing day but um you know either today or tomorrow we'll get that uh intro press conference I wonder I wonder how that's going to go I wonder how he's going to start out probably going to be one of the more uh uh one of the happier uh situations talking to the media in in in a Penn State media room usually usually he was on the losing end as the head football coach at Indiana so probably wasn't the uh the happiest of times for him uh previously this one should be pretty happy though so um excited for that I'm excited to excited to hear what he has to say I think he's a he seems like a really nice guy he seems like a really sharp guy so I'm I'm interested to kind of kind of tune into that and listen to all that and then obviously come on here and and talk about it with everybody so yeah I think it's a good get and I'm looking forward to what the defense can continue to do under now the leadership of Tom Allen yeah yeah it's it's it's cool it's exciting uh again does it lead to us beating Ohio State in Michigan we'll see uh and our schedule only gets harder so yeah we'll see how that plays out you know I'm not sure I'm not sure how this will translate into that so we'll see um it's gonna be you know one thing I I haven't heard anybody talk about this yes beating Ohio State Michigan matters it matters less now just because we play all these other teams that just got added to the Big 10 uh USC UCLA Oregon was Washington we get three out of those four next year uh being UCLA Washington and USC so we gotta contend with with some pretty good football teams and the other thing to consider obviously we still want to beat them in the regular season but in a 12 team playoff you might have to play these guys again in the playoff so how do you how do you how do you split that difference preferably if you lose to him in the regular season and you beat him in the playoff knock him out that scenario is better than the reverse so there's a little bit more kind of almost gamesmanship here a little bit um based upon you know when you meet them if you meet them again in the playoff uh whatever obviously you want to beat them every time uh totally uh but I think everybody would agree beating them in the playoff means a bit more so you know that's another kind of Another Monkey Wrench to throw into the the dynamic of of beating these teams um you know obviously there's an opportunity if you beat him in the regular season and somebody else Clips him maybe just knock him out completely uh that that's that's also possible so you know obviously you're always trying to win but I think that adds another another another layer to the story if you will yeah yeah I I mean I wouldn't say I I I don't think it matters Less in the regular season but but I I understand what you're saying um I don't think it matters less cuz at the end of the day whether that scenario plays out or not it's it's just like it's a pride thing you know can we beat these teams can we beat them consistently and again our schedule gets harder so it's it's good to have Tom Allen in but man he's walking into a program that it it it because here's the thing like I don't and no fan wants to just settle in the playoff I mean I want to make top four regardless of how many teams are in and because here's the thing if they don't make top four you know how deep are they really going to go um it it's not just about making the playoff of course you know I knew this is going to happen where as soon as it gets expanded people are going to say we made the playoff like no it got expanded that's why we made it so as cool as that is it it's it's I want to make top four top five top six and I want to compete so he's walking into a program that's I don't remember the numbers exactly but like one and nine against Ohio State and whatever against Michigan it's pretty lopsided so then they got USC UCLA Washington I mean it's getting harder so it's it's it's going to be one of those one of those Seasons where you know we're going to find out real quick what we can do um and to be honest right now I don't think there's a single player from the 2022 class that's going to leave early that is worthy of except KRON maybe so I don't think any of them are going to leave early because I don't know how they're going to do next year and yes we may run into these teams in our conference again in the playoff but if we beat them in the regular season like we should then we may not see them again who knows um you don't want to run into Ohio state twice you don't want to run into Michigan twice you don't want to run into well especially those two teams so I just I don't I don't know we'll see we'll see how it plays out we'll see how they we'll see how they do um yeah it's G to be a yeah I'm just because first of all if we don't beat I again I have I don't have much confidence in this in this program right now in terms of can they make that next step I I don't know how they do next year um so I think they still have 12 games 12 regular season games I don't know if they're going to go 10- two I don't know if they're going to go 9 and three 8 and four I don't know um so when it comes to this next jump [Music] and putting themselves in a good position to go into the playoff I don't want to just make the playoff I mean James Franklin is not going to be around long if they just make the playoff he's they they're they're they're they're going to be some pissed off people if all they do is make the playoff and then they just win two or three games it's not that's just not going to work we're we we need to be at the top we need to be in the national championship ship picture um and to be if they're yeah I don't know that that's that's what I want that that's what I expect um and and I think that's what most fans expect that's what most fans want because as much talent as they have I mean this is one of the most talented teams in the country let alone in a program history and there's been a lot of talented teams so I think with this I think another part of that is with this Talent people [Music] are expecting to make that next step makes that make that next jump so um I definitely want to beat Ohio State and Michigan in the regular season and I mean at the end of the day it starts with the regular season what do we do and then we kind of take it from there and then we worry about the playoff but because I'm pretty sure how it's going to work is I don't know if you get a buy or not you probably get a buy top four get a buy yeah so you're going to get a buy and then you know you're gonna play five plays 12 six plays 11 Etc yeah so you're G to play no matter what you're going to end up playing the lowest seed I think I believe is how it would work or I guess the lowest seed in your bracket um so let me see how it would be structured here yeah as as far as I know it'll it'll be one through four get a buy five will play 12 six will play 11 seven will play 10 etc etc um for the uh quarterfinals and then it will go uh you know one plays the lowest ranked team that's left I guess whatever um so on and so forth um but uh but yeah I mean like let's say we get like three seed next year we would end up playing like six or eight um and then the one SE obviously that that's interesting how um how like the fourth seed would end up playing possibly the 12 seed or is that how that would work I mean because that's a who was in their bracket um you would think like the 12th the 12th seed would would be like in the number one bracket um so I think that's how it works I mean it's based off the way the bracket is built yeah I guess I guess it's depend it depends the the semifinals and finals are determinant by the original formation of the bracket um I just know the initial quarterfinals games um go highest seed versus lowest seed um and then so on and so forth until you get the two teams that are right next to each other um but yeah I mean you know it's interesting I I think obviously they have they have a pretty much a ticket to the party in a top 12 uh team playoff I think um that's a that's a pretty reasonable reasonable thing to get into for for a program like Penn State but it goes to illustrate because you said that you know the schedule's not getting any harder again we got UCLA we got USC we got Oregon Washington not getting any easier yeah all these all these programs have pretty good offenses they got some pretty good Firepower okay so that's why we've been harping so readily on gotta get some wide receivers out of the portal we gota get some weapons because these teams have Firepower you need Firepower uh to go up against them you got to have your own your own battleships to do battle with these guys um so you know we're trending in the right direction nothing is a done deal yet we need to get some of these things that are that are moving in the right direction to the destination to the Finish Line cross the line here um for for winter conditioning and Spring ball etc etc that's what we need uh period there's really there's no uh there's no excuse about it I agree Penn State's roster is extremely talented but it's not talented enough at wide receiver um period That's that is the one true liability right now it's got to get fixed um you know it needs to get fixed if we want to go uh you know where we all want to go which is the playoff and multiple games in hopefully the title game hopefully win the whole darn thing that that is the the ultimate goal of uh of our football season so we gotta get more Talent we gotta get more Firepower we have to be able to move the ball score with these highflying you know offenses I don't know when you add these guys in here you know I don't know if you're going to be op having the number one Total Defense in yardage because you're just playing teams that are explosive now the key is to not focus so much on being the best in yardage allow be the best in scoring be better in scoring fine okay you give them a bunch of yards in between the 20s but then the Red Zone comes down and things get ratcheted up and you're forcing field goals against some of these highflying offenses um we just saw Oregon just totally reloaded their quarterback room with two transfer quarterbacks Dylan Gabriel and Dante Moore like they were I think number either one and number two or number two and number three um in the portal for for quarterbacks so you know they're not slowing down they're they're they're chugging right along um Penn State's gotta do the same for wide receiver I feel good about the quarterback room with with grunen Meer now joining joining the fold um I actually feel really good about it to be honest with you probably the best I felt in probably like four or five years uh personally and I've said this before I know I I think I think you agree with me on this I think grunen Meer is gonna be really good I I really do I mean he looks he looks everything like what an outstanding quarterback could be and he's pretty mobile actually he's actually a pretty good runner so he has some good Mobility um but but we just need weapons man these guys needs weapons if we can do that we can go anywhere we want to go um the uh you know we're gonna have every opportunity um to not just make the playoff but to Mark's point you know be in the top four or in the top five in the top six in that in the upper half of of uh of those teams so the opportunity is there just need to uh lock down some some more Firepower and uh and go from there yeah we'll see going forward how it plays out um it's certainly G to be interesting um and comment below what you guys think what the record is going to be next year because I have no idea I honestly I don't know I don't know I don't know how it's going to play out hopefully the new OC makes a difference hopefully Tom Allen doesn't miss a step but yeah we'll see how exactly it plays out I mean there's really no way to know um because we have so many new pieces which could be a good thing um but yeah this schedule is not going to get easier so it's just it's only going to get harder it will um so that's the thing about it is um but again we are on Rumble right now so if you guys are tuning in um it will be recorded and put on YouTube so if you guys want to interact with us come to rumble I'm trying to figure this out it looks like so I have like a page and then I have like my channel so it's like two different things I guess I'm still trying to figure out Rumble but it's kind of strange um because I have like a page it's Mark ly now I have my channel which is mar lco podcast it looks like you can follow both it's kind of weird but um I'm trying to figure out exactly how this is set up so be patient with with with me there but we're going to go live on Rumble like I said we are live on Rumble now and then I'm either going to play this Live on YouTube even though we won't be live or I'm going to uh just post it I'm not sure yet but um yeah if you guys want to interact with us you know get Rumble and turn on the notification Bell and you can interact with us on there like Jared Allen and all those guys that are on there um Lambda and K22 and all those interesting names that we run into um because I don't know it just seems like it's just the better place to go live on but then we did have a lot of interaction on YouTube and you know we have posted almost 500 videos on YouTube and we have not been monetized at all and we still aren't at the qualified amount of subscribers yet and then we get on Rumble and we've already made money with like 20 videos so and it's not all about money but it's like YouTube what are you doing seriously like it's it's I'm not trying to I'm not going to try to earn money through your platform it's that's a joke like you're gonna what do we have to do on your platform to be monetized I mean that that's absolutely ridiculous you know dude how long have we been on YouTube seriously it's unbelievable oh jeez oh man I two years at least we started February like 22 or something well that was consistently there was some stuff before then too um but yeah like on radio that was it yeah oh yeah oh yeah yeah yeah but uh but yeah like you know it's just one of those things I I think probably the the the best case scenario is if we can do that simoc cast and kind of do live it both and pull up both chats at the same time um I think will be best case scenario but we'll figure all that out and we'll get it taken care of and and all that kind of stuff and then uh because again at the end of the day it it it's a it's about us a little bit but it's more so about the viewers and it seems to be the the general consensus among um you know uh viewers regardless of platform whether that's I mean backman maybe we can multicast and and go crazy maybe we're gonna maybe go live on YouTube Rumble kick twitch who the heck knows what's going to happen um but the point I'm trying to drive home is a lot of people enjoy the viewing experience on specific platforms so having uh giving them access to the platform in which they like they prefer to watch on um is important to us so that's something that we're going to continue to explore and uh you know and and iron all that out and get everything squared away so that we're making as many people people um happy and as comfortable as we possibly can um with the with the content that we're providing so yeah just keep that in mind yeah and you know at the end of the day so from what I've seen with the simoc cast is if you connect and I I I don't think I did this I think I did it just exclusively on Rumble but if you record on Rumble you can't put it on YouTube there's no way to get it so I'm recording it and streaming it right now in obs now if you connect your YouTube to your Rumble YouTube doesn't like that so I know they shadowban your YouTube then um which means they just suppress viewership and and that's a thing unfortunately um that happened to my Instagram for those of you that don't know my Instagram page my fitness page I had I I think it was like I at one point I had like 880,000 followers like I was really into like the fitness side I was an athlete for a supplement company I mean I was making money and getting free stuff and it was awesome and um my page was Shadow ban so it went down to then I I was on the road to make to having like 100,000 followers on Instagram and then it came down to like 30,000 and then I actually went in and just had a lot of made a lot of people unfollow me to down now now it's down to like 4,000 which I actually revamped my fitness page on Instagram I have the podcast page and the fitness page but my point is that happens you can be Shadow banned and that's one thing about Rumble it's kind of like a newer Free Speech platform if you want to call it that um they don't they don't censor as much they don't censor at all I don't think so it's it's you know I'm not doing it necessarily because of that I mean I do like Rumble but YouTube has just gotten honestly it's just and and if they have an issue with this it is what it is but they've just just gotten so ridiculous you know well the one I mean the one the one thing with YouTube uh aside from all that kind of stuff is just it's you know it it would be different if if it were 2005 or 2006 and the platform had just come out yeah and everybody and their brother and their uncle and their aunt and their sister and their cousin weren't all producing content on YouTube it's gotten very very oversaturated to be honest yep um not that that's like a bad thing I think it's I think it's um you know I think it's very positive that people are exercising their their creativities uh to to produce content um and to you know entertain viewers or educate viewers or whatever it may be whatever whatever your your interest is and what your goal is with your content but um it does make it more challenging because the algorithm really asks for a lot I mean likes boost the algorithm subscriptions boost the algorithm comments comment threads boost the algorithm um there's you know a bajillion things in there and if you're not checking off all those boxes the algorithm just doesn't give a crap about whatever you're doing you could be producing the best most uh informative most accurate information possible and you just get thrown down the well and nobody can find you which is challenging um but like I said you know we're g to keep exploring this ideally in an ideal world uh we can multicast to to multiple platforms to kind of uh broaden our reach um and and our availability um to give everybody access as much access as possible um to our stuff and and to our conversations as possible so yeah and here's the thing too um and a a person I follow on Rumble and social media um recently kind of said about you know okay so the algorithm right it's it's it's not real it's not it's not a human being it's it's a it's a it's an algorithm it's it's a machine so equation what's that it's an equation matical equation so to try desperately and a lot of people do this so many people do this an astronomical amount of people they try to play to the algorithm and it's like dude it's not even real you know so it's kind of scary that so many people are trying to like almost like a p a robot you know it's kind of weird and and I've always used social media for business always but I don't give a crap about the algorithm I mean but that's why I'm on Rumble because our content in my in my opinion our content is good we're fans we have a show we are different than any other Penn State podcast out there we're fans we're just like you guys we just know our stuff that's all we're not like casual fans we're like we know our stuff so it's like if you can be rewarded for the content then I'm going to go there you know I'm still going to post on YouTube but it's like YouTube you don't get rewarded for it man you don't it doesn't matter it does not matter seriously and and I literally po I'm telling you like from offseason from since January I've probably posted a video 90% of the time every day and how many how many sub criers have we gained in this season like 30 maybe that's it where were we before the season we thought we were going to be well past 500 now you you know I I'm I'm not I'm not even sure obviously you have access to all the analytics but I mean we've definitely gained some we've gone up for sure um for sure more engagement on YouTube and stuff but oh 100% And The the comments engagement has been up the live chat engagement has been way up aome awesome which we appreciate oh 100% And it it makes the lives a lot more fun too then we can kind of have an external dialogue as well just you know beyond amongst ourselves because for you know I know it's wild to believe Mark and I kind of know each other pretty well so we we kind of already know where we're going with certain things um when we talk about them um but it's nice to have that that uh that external input as well from from you guys other fans um and some of you guys you know you guys are really on top of things and really you know really watch watch college football in depth as well um which always makes the conversation is that much more fun because we can have really good high level conversations about you know what's going on but but yeah it it's challenging but like I said the one thing that I think is the most important is that you stay consistent you keep on rolling um you know you can't you can't succumb to um the the uh the challenges of the algorithm just focus on making really good content and uh and doing that consistently and engaging in good faith with people and you know in my opinion I think that you're going to be rewarded for that so that that's that's my goal I know I know Mark is is largely an alignment with that as well um it's just focusing on the content side and and you know engaging as much as we can with uh with the viewers and and and on Rumble it's all um it's all ad Revenue so doesn't matter how many you just need five followers to go live and then and then it's all about ad Revenue they basically do the work for you whereas YouTube you need a certain amount of follow subscribers you need this you need that and then you're lucky if you get thrown into the you know if you get thrown into like you know you're automatically it's it's pretty much the more content you produce on Rumble and it's better to go live on Rumble they're just going to throw you into that and then if you make the main page I mean you're making hundreds of dollars so because here here's the thing at the end of the day that at some point you want to start making money from it I mean we're going to do this no matter what but you know what I mean it's like if at some point you want to make money from it Austin I'll be right back you just keep talking yeah and you know I think I think the thing with uh you know kind of that Mark's talking about in this case it's it you know in this case it's money um but we could we could just replace that with incentive what is your incentive to do X thing what is your incentive to go to work that's probably money uh what is your incentive to work out that could be a goal um what whether that's to um you know get healthier get stronger build more muscle drop body fat whatever it may be um improve your health all those types of things that's the incentive what's the incentive to uh buying flowers for your girlfriend or wife it makes them happy their happiness makes you happy so it's everything is kind of incentive based um so yes compensation is always a portion of the incentive uh you know for something like this or whatever when you're making content uh 100% no doubt it's part of the equation but the other thing is producing good content the enjoyment we get about having these conversations about something that we love very dearly we're very passionate about uh college football Penn State football specifically um and then interacting with you guys and bringing you guys some content bringing you guys a perspective that maybe isn't really shown anywhere else um for the most part at least in the context of Penn State football mostly it's just media types and and you know while they can kind of more or less say whatever they want uh or they could be critical if they want to um they still have to engage with the coaches uh you know they have to be able to ask questions a lot of the stuff can get back you know to the coaches and maybe that kind of you know changes the the the professionalism Dynamic um and might make their jobs harder we don't have that problem so you know we can be very very critical where criticism is absolutely deserved and um and you know needs to be dished out we can we can do that with frankly uh impunity um or we can dish out the praise too um when when it's warranted just like we did with uh with the Tom Allen hire and the uh the Andy cotal necki hire which we thought were really really good hires so we can kind of go either way with it um but I do think our product is unique um and I do think uh you know those incentives are are uh always kind of in the in the in the Forefront of kind of what we're looking at yes the compensation but also the engagement with the with the community um and uh just the just the joy that it brings to us talking about all this stuff yeah and I noticed on our last live on Rumble it's like condensed it's like clo it's like a box which is who knows but you know another and and you know to go off Austin's point because I was listening um it's like you know we you know you notice like Justin King's podcast or and they're fairly new too I mean they already have like thousands of views and thousands of followers and it's like I'm sure a large part of that comes from the fact that it's Justin King and he's a football player and everybody knows who he is now because of that you would think his channel would be bigger but the greater point is you know we're fans we're we're kind of underdogs you know we don't have thousands of dollars to throw into this podcast um I have put I have put probably a few hundred bucks into like everything that I have here this setup literally all I do is I just zoom Austin in you know what I mean so um that's the thing about this podcast is eventually we would like to make money from it because it's it's only going to make it better you know what I mean so like the the video being you know condensed on Rumble it's like that's the kind of stuff that we're still kind of I'm still kind of trying to figure out I'm I'm pretty like tech savvy but I'm nothing like like my brother's literally a computer guy and he's been uh a big help with this podcast but you know I I'm I'm still figuring all this out you know what I mean so all I know is put out the content you know keep it coming and you know I'll put I'll put all the on YouTube but it's like man after at some point it's like at what point do you say to YouTube like all right we have literally been stuck at like 374 373 for mon for like months and it either goes up or down it goes from to 373 then it goes back up then it goes down then it goes back up and it's like all right you know at what point do you start like taking advantage of other platforms you know what I mean and we post on every WE Post on Rumble now we post on Apple pod Spotify all that and maybe twitch someday but it's like at some point you gota kind of ask yourself like huh all right do we move on or it's one of those things do we move on or we do we just start saying wild stuff yeah I guess we start just saying Cra Crazy hot takes all the time that's what um this guy that I follow he said about kobby Covington you know he was like calling out LeBron James because he sat during the national anthem and he's basically like Kobe cumington he basically said this he's like Kobe cumington is a he doesn't know what he's talking about he just hit talking points and it's like he's just trying to hit an algorithm and make a spicy video that's it you know he said like best economy Trump this Trump that and then and then if you if if you make uh if you here's the thing two things and then and then we'll wrap up and we'll let everybody go but if you make a title or a a a a catch a fish hook okay what you're it's what you're doing you're trying to trying to hook the viewer hook the click hook the click whatever um if you say something that is like super hot taky or you say something that that is in a realm where things are like very split and very um confrontational you're gonna nine times out of 10 you're getting that click yeah nine times out of 10 you you are because it doesn't matter whether you get someone that 100% agrees with you or 100% disagrees with you you're gonna get both of those people and they're gonna come in and they're gonna say I totally agree with you or you or they're gonna say I totally disagree and here's why you're an idiot uh that's just what it is um you know so that's that's why they kind of they always say um even even uh even bad publicity is good publicity because your name out there this or that of course within reason um but uh but yeah like that's just that's just how it works um do I particularly like that model no I think it's easy um I think it's uh you know I think it's completely detrimental to the quality of the actual content as opposed no like when you go on like uh what is it First Take or and these other things or like when skip did it with Stephen A or skip did it with Shannon or whatever yeah no one no one watches those shows because they want two guys having a really cordial level-headed conversation they want Shannon to say something they're not together anymore but back in the day Shannon or Stephen A to say something and then skip to just lose his mind over something that's what they want to see yeah um you know no one wants a really good levelheaded analysis of of of what's going on on they want the drama they want the tension uh you know that's what that's what PE people get enjoyment out of that and I get it people love uh you know drama movies and all these types of things but I feel like we're going kind of off the rails here just kind of having a bit of a broader conversation outside of Penn State football um yeah well but you know dude in addition to that on YouTube is I came across a Megan Kelly video the other day and she had these people on that were talking about um the George Floyd thing and they made a documentary a a alterior view of the situation Man YouTube is going to love this video um I'm gonna they're gonna they're gonna like close my channel down um yeah but they made like a like an alternative view to the George Floyd thing which was you know you can imagine what that is is um it's cuz that was completely just blown out of proportion but uh it's and it's Megan Kelly it's her face and she looks surprised and then these people are talking and it's like it's just the definition of clickbait and and I I I know it's clickbait but I still want to watch it you know what I mean so it's like but some people they see that they're like oh my God I'm going to click on this because she looks surprised and it's like it's just just clickbait like calm down I I rest my case you know it's just it is it's just like and it's so fake man it's so fake but uh anyway um I'm going to record this thr it on YouTube and then um it's got this is going to be on Rumble and if you guys want to interact now I did read on Reddit because it looked like because I was saying about so so on Rumble just to answer your question real quick um not yours Austin but the one that I brought up so the user account is used to comment across your channels to keep track so for your channels click the logo at the top right my channels from there you hear see create um yeah so basically I have Mark Lansky as the account account and then I have the channel Mark lco podcast so I think because I'm live yeah presumably that means you could you have your account and then you could have the mark Lesco podcast Channel um whatever uh you could even separate it further if you wanted to for the Penn State football content then if you wanted to do Fitness content you could have a different subset of the channel yeah presumably that's kind of a nice and you kind of you kind of add it to whatever channel so again I'm still trying to figure this out but I'm live on Mark Lansky but I think it's still post to Mark Lesco podcast I have to add it to Mark Lesco pod because it does ask you I think what channel do you want to add it to and then you add it to but yeah that that does make it easier um for sure you know who else kind of does something similar substack where I have my newsletter you can kind of oh what do you want to post it to and then you pick like what yeah newsletter or what plat like what okay uh what what uh what yeah kind of like what platform or what what page basically you want it on um as far as that goes but that's very interesting yeah um yeah and you guys want to check out Austin substack definitely check it out but uh yeah Austin I think we're good um I'll see how this records I think it should be fine I'm probably going to edit it in um Da Vinci and then I'll probably play it live like to tomorrow or something on YouTube see how that plays out but all right man um yeah good stuff uh got a bit of a recruiting update and then we got um Tom Allen and rayola you know know rayola with to Nebraska yeah I wish I wish this it's literally the title of the podcast but um I wish that he came in last year like he almost did because then they're they're still in the Big 10 divisions and they because here's the thing you're a quarterback away from competing you are and I think Nebraska no matter what they're they're they're going to compete um now you compared Lincoln Riley to uh um freaking uh Matt R I think Nebraska's goingon to have a better defense than USC regardless of how good their you their quarterback is you they already have a better defense yeah so if Nebraska can get like some some transfers on their defense and then get some receivers for for aola they're going to compete man and I'm telling you like they're going to be up there I think and if he stays there dude they're goingon to compete like they're they might make the playoff and I don't know we I don't think we run into them but they're going to compete and and I think they're going to do good so it's good for Matt R State College guy he almost came to Penn State he played at Penn State you know you want to root for a guy like that and to get I mean that's not easy man how did he get rayola to Nebraska you know that's impressive so helped helped to have his uncle he's a legacy guy I think his dad played there his uncle's a coach there um so that for sure helps yeah but um you know to kind of spurn the uh the the two-time defending national champions who are not in the playoff I know um the Georgia bogs um at the at the 11th Hour in the 59th minute uh that's challenging that that that definitely hurts them uh for sure but it's a huge get for Matt rule huge get for uh the Nebraska corn husker program and I would agree I think they're on the upand coming um for sure I think they're going to come back and I think they're going to be much much more competitive um and get back to um maybe not ridiculous winning ways but winning ways nonetheless yeah so yeah and you know that's like Penn State pulled that safety commit from Alabama to Penn State um I forget his name but Elliot Washington yeah he was committed to B that he came here so all right Austin um I think we're good and uh we will see you guys probably this weekend and hopefully this yep podcast isn't boxed isn't like condensed I don't know that is so weird might be a weird for thought I had I think I had to size right but I guess not I don't know might might be a weird formatting thing which we will iron out as we go but that is the final word thank you so much for tuning in subscribe if you're not as always whether you're on rumble or on YouTube uh like the video uh ring the notification Bell so you're notified when we go live when we drop a new video as Mark said before we will be back before Christmas time for
