Morgan well played three points in the bag early in the season it's always good to get the first win isn't it yeah definitely um we wanted it last week you know uh but we learned we learned from last week and talk into this week's game U we went one up and you know we' seen the game out and I feel like that's what we we've struggled on um in recent recent games recent years um is you know sort of game management seeing the game out and I thought the boys were absolutely terrific today especially first half I thought like we dominated the game um and then second half we knew that they were going to come out with a different reaction um and they did and fair play to Southampton you know they give it a good go um but you know at the end of the day we took our chances um and that's what got us a three points you must have been scratching your heads at half time as to how you weren't in front weren't you yeah it's uh it's frustrating um you know but like I said it's we were just missing that final detail and our overall play in the first half was brilliant I think that's the best sort of half we've had in a while um so look we're looking to build on that we're looking to continue that work um and you know we're going to take it game by game and you know and focus on next week now tell us about the goal uh yeah I sort of seen Callum with the ball I know callum's quality um and then he picked me out um and the first one wasn't actually a shot it was a passed back on goal boy he went on Target and you know luckily enough it it fell to me in the right area and you know I had to just pull it away um but the most important thing is is that the boys got the three points um and we're climbing the T trying to climb the table now but like I said before the the focus is now is game by game and focusing on next week now you mentioned it earlier Morgan about how last week you couldn't quite manage to get over the line and today therefore it was probably even more important to make sure that you did because if he conceded late again that might have become an issue you didn't today you proved you can see games out yeah definitely um I feel like performances like this we need to take experience um from it um learn from it um you know and try and put that into the into the performances going forward um because like I said in recent years recent recent games and you know we've not been too good at uh seeing out games and you know the sort of game management of it um but no like I said I'm delighted with the boys with how they performed um second half was tough but we' seen the game out um and that's exactly what we needed to do you know we're away from home it's nice to get a win away from home for once um so hopefully we can continue this form and keep pushing on you want more wins away from home this season for sure yeah 100% um everyone wants to Wi every game but you know that's not possible um but no the manager has been great um you know the detail of how he wants us to play in the first half I feel like we got it to a te um you know it's just continuing that work continuing to believe in in believe in what the manager wants um and just believing in ourselves that we can really push on this season well done today Morgan cheers thank you
