talking to Washington defensive coordinator Steve belich after practice here at fall Camp the huskys don't have a player under 6 foot one in this secondary and that includes the transfers they brought in this spring Cameron brousard from Sacramento State and Justin Harrington from Oklahoma here's what belich had to say about those two transfers as well as the length in their secondary as a whole what what are some of the specific things that the transfer safeties bring Justin Harrington came brard to your defense uh yeah I mean that's a great group right that's a great group there's some uh you know the guys who were here last year they uh they definitely play a little bit and then um bring in some other guys who uh who have some experience um I think it's been fun working with all those guys uh yeah I mean those guys are fitting in well with the with the veteran group like I was saying before um they've been really good good to have them out here um just bring more depth and and more versatility of the defense yeah I mean we'll see how it goes um right now we got some really good matchups with our receivers and stuff like that but um yeah there's definitely some size and length out there in the corner position uh e and and the rest of those guys is size and length something you prioritize in your secondary quarterback and safety is that something you look for with guys or is it just kind of what you have what you're working with um yeah I mean uh it's great if they have it but um you know there have been years where um haven't always had that uh in the past you just kind of got to um work with what you got but um yeah I mean that's that's a great bonus to have
