you played in The Rock for your 150th yeah I did for about five minutes and then that was endem me I remember as a fan just screaming at the TV going why is G in the Rock that's right yeah yeah we obviously rock down um I think that actually took Nick off for myself just to get me in there because I thought that's how good I was but um now only last of five minutes now we love a good little football G before we get into the real you know the footy stuff West End Plumbing going well mate yeah yeah all good um are busy like everyone I think in the trade industry and construction industry over here but um yeah now everything's going well outside over there I got me me best mate Dary running it so I'm hoping it's going well Dar but um yeah now all going well now uh G I've got to put this straight to you off the bat um this year we have sponsored a player at every Club in the backline so it's our back chat uh backman sponsored backman um went through every Club went through every backline and and really picked someone who embodiment of the back chat bman award um Dow operators role players uh players that may not get the credentials how do you feel about not being our sponsored player this year and uh uh and Tom barass being our West Coast sponsored player for 2024 we're very happy for you to put your case forward we're very happy to take that on board well we West might have to dip into their own pocket and spons myself so I can get one do you not have a current player sponsor sorry do you not have a player sponsor at this time Wes go don't do it really no no not the run off I might do but um not that I know know so I might have to go go and get one but Tommy Tommy brass is a I'd be probably sponsoring him to be honest very good if TB does you know God forbid go down or he misses a lot lot of time we could we could put you straight in I'm happy to do that yeah if you're gone by my last few years I don't think you want to put your money behind me with the uh the amount of foot I played in three years but um hopefully that all changes how is um mate how is the body how how is the team fairing before round one every everyone excited to put the preseason behind you uh yeah yeah we are excited to get into it um obviously we worked on a fair few things which we had to um obviously from the last couple years that we've had but um yeah all so far so good it's very hard to tell this time of year with preseason games like we've only had one real hit out um it's very hard to look too deep into it but at this stage we feel like we've we've done everything we can to prepare well for the season and hopefully uh uh we'll be making some inroads forward which is what we're what we're a to do what um what what should fans be excited about this year can you give us some players that you've really liked over this offseason there's a couple in the backline that I've certainly liked to look at but um what about from a players's point of view who's who's had a good one and who do we think is going to take the next step this year um oh look to be honestly all the boys have really been digging in and really showing a fair bit a lot of the young boys Clay Hall Hall's probably the first one that Springs some on uh he's injured at the moment but up until he got injured he was he was going really well and pushing for round one so um hly will get a shout out but down back um Harry Edwards has come back in some extremely good conditions same thing though he he had a little finger issue but hopefully be back in the first couple of rounds um and Brady Hoff is probably the other one who's looking extremely strong he's he's a bit of a unit hoofy um why he's looking he's just looking big he's looking big and strong he's yeah he's just he's a r big boy like that a lot just we were just talking about it before you jumped on um you know it was great on the on the weekend get to watch my team West Coast Eagles you know love love a club fan entire big fan big fan um to my shock though when you're watching the game and then you there's a s of Bounce about to happen and there's no Ruckman in the middle um could you give us a little just a little insight into what's going on there yeah well look I was I'm ready to go as where the if I was out there I would have sprinted from the goal Square to get up and have a crack but um no there's obviously B bit of miscommunication with the young rocks that we had in um at that stage of the game which doesn't happen very often and I'm glad it happened in a preseason game but um yeah obviously a bit of miscommunication from the Rocks there they're not the sharpest tools in the shed boys no but you did win you did win the center clearance which which was nice um can you give us one before we go last one for me can you just talk about the boy no question just tell us about the boy boy we want to know the boy yeah I look I the boy is it's almost the man now for me to be honest yes like it's he's gone from a boy to he's if you've seen him In the Flesh at the moment he's an absolute animal um R he's he's freak um so yeah I'd almost say he's the man now but um no he's he's just does everything right Rubes he's um obviously we missed him on the weekend but um he's a Ripp and fell country kid um and yeah hopefully he can play a lot of footy for us for West Coast for a long long period of time which looks like he will do do you this is the last question do you have a golden fist did you win one I don't know if I oh I don't I don't I don't have one in my house if you put it that way but um I don't know if I do people have said I have I don't I don't know I can't recall if I have um if I have I'd love to have the golden fist hanging up in the mantle piece in the middle middle of my uh on my dining room I'd put it A1 position um so yeah I'd love to if I if I have I don't think I have we we are awarding the back chat backman of the Year this year does that sit quite high on your your list of things you'd like to do oh yeah there's probably yeah just above the brown low yeah perect yeah for sure so it's um it's it's a Batman's Brown low I reckon so yes yeah it's extremely high um but yeah I've obviously got to get a sponsor before I worry about winning that award yes you do uh mate we're g to let you go we appreciate your time here on back chat
