I'm sure you've heard the news Britain's in for a bumpy ride this weekend the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning from Sunday morning to Monday midnight covering London and the Southwest expect thunderstorms heavy rain and the possibility of power cuts and flooding meteorologists say there's a small chance of disruption but don't be fooled this could mean row closures and delays in Bus and Train Services homes and businesses might face rapid flooding with damage from flood water lightning strikes hail or strong winds 15 flood alerts are in effect across England pointing to potential flooding in certain areas this could lead to the flooding of land roads and some properties causing localized travel disruptions deputy chief meteorologist Dan Harris warns that heavy thundery showers are likely especially in central regions while not all areas in the warning Zone will see storms there's a risk of localized disruption from intense rainfall Gusty winds lightning and possibly hail stay safe stay dry and keep an eye on the forecast
