well thank you it's great being with you in the Clementi Museum and look at where we have a chance to look at our friend Roberto on the day he got us three thousand base hit and we were there for that very famous moment you remember the night before we thought he had a base hit and they called it hit an error see if they were fishing yeah yeah and and we were I was standing in back you remember the the window and back of Home play I was watching he hit the ball and I said base That Base it and they said no E5 or E6 error and so we had to wait for the next day [Music] there she is [Applause] and there he is it's a double the left Center off John matlack and now the place is going crazy and they're going to get the baseball and uh yeah Don leopard's a first base coach there's an unbelievable moment three thousand three thousand keeps flashing and that was at Three Rivers Stadium what a day when we and we were there to watch it and the thing is I think Roberto felt best that it wasn't a a ball that he hit that might have been a hit in there this was a pure big double to the Gap in left center field so no questions on that no chance for error on that one you know what that's the first time I hear number four in the big league [Music] and then I remember he learned right to listen or feel I come in a hill and drive to to listen he is that was the last romance call I bring it you drive him in from a second base so he got the hit but you got the RBI Bobby now do you remember after he scored Willie Mays paying for tonight he came over to our Dugout and it was so much fun to see the great Clementi and the great Willie Mays together that was the best thing we see then that was really wonderful and then from there he said I feel so good now I able to relax and I don't know I'll not be in my room thinking about a lot of stuff yeah it was the best yeah the great Clemente he he won and do everything in Pittsburgh he go up to heaven with the spirit of thank God they get a hit and peaceful for the Pittsburgh Pirate the clubhouse was chaos it was chaos and as you would expect I mean how many people have 3 000 hits all the all the Press was in there so it was hard to get to him because he's being interviewed by everybody you know we had been teammates for a while so we we were okay to wait our turn to go over and congratulate because he knew how he felt about him foreign [Music] [Music] it was a more magnificent thing I saw in my life it's like a movie like you I like I was dreaming [Music]
