gr give me a bold prediction this will shock you Sam darnold 400 passing yards in the opener against the Giants secondary I I don't think the giant secondary is that strong but darnold uh has had a good camp for the Vikings they're fired up about him I I think he actually plays well and it's a great matchup for him out of the gate uh people will be talking about darnold and Kevin oconnell Reviving his career well I mean I that's a bold prediction it is bold and I don't feel like it's it's out of the question Sam darnold is a player who came in with all the talent in the world didn't have the opportunity with the yeah I really agree with that I think Sam darnold I don't know if it's going to be exactly 400 yards I think it's that's difficult to predict how many yards someone's going to get um but I think Sam darnold is going to look wildly comfortable in the Giants and in fact people are going to use it as a way to be like whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa it was just against the Giants you know Sam darnold's not that good the Minnesota Vikings aren't that good and it's going to be a just it's going to be an understandable critique or or kind of a way to kind of temper the expectations of the Minnesota Vikings it's why you really do got to play one two 3 four five six games or so before you get a realistic understanding of what a team is going to look like but I think Sam darnold this is going to be a setup that Sam darnold can absolutely positively thrive in and I think it's the perfect game against the Giants and he's just going to be able to unleash I really do uh I think he's this is going to be practically like an extension of preseason and and it's just going to be something that he's going to be very very comfortable I think he's known he's going to be the starter um since day one I I think himim and Kevin oconnell are really going to develop a great relationship I think Kevin oconnell is the exact type of coach that Sam darnold has never had in his entire career especially NFL career and I just think Kevin oconnell is going to be able to get the best out of him and we know that Kevin oconnell likes Sam darnold because well before there was every a preseason game you could see that Kevin oconnell was pretty much letting the media know maybe not as directly but he was pretty much saying Sam darnold is here like Sam darnold like there was I called This months ago that Sam darnold was going to be the starting quarterback over JJ McCarthy and I just think that that's based off of a couple things one wanting JJ to sit which obviously it's irrelevant now since he got injured but wanting JJ to learn and sit from Sam darn but also recognizing that this roster is pretty darn good and they can win some games and they should be able to minimize a lot of the growing pains and being able to have quicker Success With Sam darnold there and when a team knows that they're pretty good and that they're missing say a quarterback or just a piece of way a team can get Restless right like they don't want to play games with a rookie quarterback they don't want to play games with some bootleg quarterback like they want to get going right like Justin Jefferson like whoever the offensive line like they want to get things going so I think Sam darnold can really be someone that they can immediately plug into and do some damage and I think again going up against a Giants that that game is going to be such a major gift and uh it's going to be really really interesting to see how the media and the fans absorb it because I think you're going to have some people that are going to be like that was amazing that was unbelievable they're going to win you know they won so and so through for 400 yards wow it's impressive and other people are going to be like well it was against a Giants what do you expect so it's going to be interesting to see I I'm so much more interested in postgame rather than pregame personally I like to analyze and evaluate after the game and and look back and kind of explain what we just saw rather than trying to predict since Sports is literally unpredictable which is why we watch it all the time if it was predictable we wouldn't have to watch the games but those are just my thoughts I would absolutely love to hear yours what do you guys all think do you think Sam Donald would throw for 400 yards and
