Deadlock NEW ITEM, WALL JUMPING, HUGE NERFS - Patch Notes Update 8/29/2024

Intro hey everyone and welcome to deadlock Intel your number one source for all things deadlock valve's newest 6v6 shooter make sure to subscribe for deadlock updates gameplay videos breakdowns streamer stories and more today we've got a patch overview for you where we're going to break down what we find the most notable first we'll cover General updates fixes and new additions to the game then jump into the hero changes and finally end with item updates these patches are super beefy right now as the game is in a very early stage so no we will not cover every single line item but I will link you to the full patch notes in the description first off for General updates we have General Updates teleporter locations pair teleporters has been added to the outer Lanes at the midpoint near the three red neutral creeps four teleporters have changed locations the Upper Floor teleporters move to the street level the interior teleporters move to the bodega building in the theater and teleporters are now closed for the first 10 minutes there's also a visual change to go on with that update up next the Parry ability's cool down was reduced from 6 seconds to 5 Seconds rooftop locations have also changed as several buildings have been made taller to make their rooftops out of bounds and then several buildings have been made shorter to make them more accessible they also remove some rooftop zap volumes that damage players when you're not supposed to be there speaking of rooftops a few of those buildings have new passageways at higher floors that are along the way to a rooftop pause system has also been updated as players can only pause once per game now and a team can only pause at most three times in total amongst all the players game appication will now also flash when the game is unpaused the gold Buddha statues now have an increased drop rate and probably my favorite change matchmaking now is 1 hour earlier than it was before giving everyone more play time for new things that were added in this patch we have ropes these ropes replace some of the jump pads that were located around the map and they let you climb up to the top of the building by holding the jump key you also still retain the ability to shoot while hanging on to them wall jumping was also added to the game which does not consume stamina and requires an input direction away from the wall this action can only be done once at a time meaning you can't just jump from wall to wall back and forth there's now a streamer settings in the options panel which causes player names in The Game's UI panels to be hidden new profile page was added for all players that displays a breakdown of recent matches in alltime player and hero stats this makes it super easy to see which Heroes you play the most of and how you're performing on all of them a report button was added to the player list in the Escape menu to allow reporting of teammates in game as well as better visibility of the report button post game with all the changes to teleporters more Juke rooms were also added throughout the map a melee trainer was also added to the sandbox area for people who want to practice their pairing now as far as general fixes go there are a ton of small fixes to different UI effects small bugs sounds animations voice lines build Pages zip lines and so much more again I'll leave the link down below if you want to look through every single one of those but now let's hop into the heroes which I imagine is what most people are interested in first up we have Abrams Abrams who ultimately was nerfed as his infernal resilience regeneration time was increased from 16 seconds to 18 seconds he does pull-ups once again on the zip line which is a buff and they fixed a couple of different bugs on him Viscous viscus had a lot of changes as the primary fire for them was redesigned with more damage and scaling it also now has an alternate fire that does AOE damage but cannot head shot splatter spe scaling was increased with the second and third hit damage increasing puddle punch damage was increased and they switched around the tier two and tier three so that now tier two increases damage and adds move slow and tier three reduces the cool down goo ball Spirit scaling was increased and acceleration was increased and turn radius ultimately these are Buffs for bbop his gun range Bebop was increased his hook now only targets enemies by default which is great because a lot of people were accidentally grabbing their teammates to grab teammates you just use your third Mouse button hyperbeam can now be cancelled by Perry which ultimately is a Nerf for him but awesome for everyone anoun in the game Dynamo's rejuvenating Dynamo Aurora can be canceled with Perry as well now Dynamo's gun damage was reduced and kinetic pulse was fixed because it was acting a little strange around corners singularity's cast time was increased and the range was reduced which again not great for Dynamo players but for everyone else this is great news great Talon's charge shot Collision size Grey Talon base damage and tier 2 were all reduced great Toon's fire rate scales with Spirit now and can use multiple air dashes during reain of fire mobilizing track rap duration was reduced and now applies a slow after the route it's hard to say if these are really Buffs or Nerfs cuz they're kind of a little bit of both seems like they're just tweaking things to see how the kid works better Haze haz's bullet damage was increased the Sleep dagger cool down was reduced drowsy period was increased smoke bomb radius was reduced fixations tier 2 Stacks were increased and bullet dance gains plus two weapon damage so a lot of Buffs for haze players inferus had reduced vertical reach on flame Dash Infernus flame Dash is now affected by slows the trail will get wider with the ability range and tier one duration was reduced Catalyst damage amp was reduced and tier 2 life steal was reduced as well as tier three damage amp being increased again a little bit of Nerfs a little bit of Buffs thrown in there ivy on the other Ivy hand was hit with a lot of Nerfs which I have to say was much needed bullet damage and health growth were reduced Watchers Covenant at tier 2 was reduced this is the big one as airdrop no longer silences allies causes allies to deal 50% less damage now movement has been adjusted and selfcast time increased Max move speed was reduced and they now added the ability to go up or down so outside of adding that ability to go up and down they made Ivy's old much more reasonable they're getting rid of that whole Ivy and seven Wombo Combo or at least that's the goal as Ivy was picking up people then drop them in and have their own old or just fly seven around while you were Ting having allies deal 50% less damage is a huge Nerf those kind of Strat strategies kelvin's bullet Kelvin radius was increased base Health growth increased and Arctic beam's Max slow increase it also now affects Soul orbs tier 3's range was reduced the fixed his ice paths Jitter and tier 2 of grenades heal was increased just a couple of small things for lash as they improved Lash his firing arm position because it was previously a little bit in the way of the Crosshair and grapple no longer gives a stamina charge repaired Ox they Paradox fixed paradoxical swaps still going through if Paradox dies pocket's barrage Pocket amp was reduced and the fix barage amp's visual issues as for seven his static Seven charge radius was increased and tier 2 radius was increased stormcloud spirit Power scaling was reduced and time to reach radius was reduced it also now provides him with bullet resist while activated so somehow seven got Buffs Shiv shiv's bullet damage and health growth were both reduced gun falloff range was reduced slice and dice tier 2 was reduced tier three now considers creeps half value blood leting was also reduced and killing blows UI was made more clear I love that last Chang because I felt like it was really hard to know when someone was under the proper threshold to be able to ought them warden's base Warden movement speed was reduced and fire rate scaling with Spirit was reduced great Nerfs tired of being terrified as Warden Sprints at me from across the map and I can't do anything about yato's power Yamato slash Max damage time requirement was reduced Collision radius was reduced Crimson Slash's radius was increased and multiple bug fixes vindicta had her Vindicta stake duration reduced and pro familiar spirit Power duration ation scaling reduced there was also a left click deselecting bug that was fixed as far as Weapon Items items go there are a ridiculous amount of item tweak so again I'm not going to go through every single one however I am going to highlight a few things in each category I think probably the most exciting category being weapon as yes we do have a new item that new item is Head Hunter which gives you plus 50% bullet velocity 15% weapon damage 150 bullet Shield as well as grants head shot bonus damage heals you and gives you move speed this is going to be a great item for Heroes like Paradox vindicta and great talent now due to that item being added they have also nerfed Sharpshooter as it no longer provides bonus headshot damage however on the flip side it now grants 175 bullet shield and gives you weapon damage increase as far as Vitality Items Vitality items go Unstoppable can now be cast while channeling and the cool down was reduced enchanter's barrier now grants cooldown reduction while active as well and rescue beam's Channel duration was reduced for Spirit items Spirit Items withering whip no longer grants ammo it grants fire rate fire rate slow was reduced and cool down was reduced for Rapid recharge charge count was reduced faster time between charges was increased and cooldown for charged abilities was increased as well now for two items silence cliff and curse duration was reduced which I think is good those items were built on a lot of people and could be used to interrupt a lot of different abilities Magic Carpet just seems like a fun item that I never see but you are now unslow on Magic Carpet the cooldown was reduced and barriers last for 16 seconds and that is all we have for today guys hopefully Outro these videos will just
