Aug 7 - Hurricane Ernesto path to track through Mexico, Haikui storm path, Tropical Storm Gilma

hello there H with the armagen report so clearly the big news for the North American continent is Hurricane anesto anesto after having been predicted to become a hurricane for quite some time has now finally been declared a hurricane by apparently the Air Force Hurrican Hunters so yes anesta there are let's go to the tracking map there are watches and warnings in effect over here there we go with the colors hurricane warning for all the red areas I believe this a tropical storm warning yes the blue stuff is tropical storm warnings so and if you're in the affected area here's some you can read the public advisories and then the forecast discussion I'm hoping to integrate they do have for Atlantic storms the Spanish versions of things so I'm hoping to integrate that into the site shortly so inesta definitely to become a problem for Mexico however not probably going to affect or impact Texas however you know maybe some rain probably to too far of a reach though for there to be any rain out there so there are other things going on as well it's just completely cluttered so in the Atlantic we have the remnants of Florence there's currently a 10% chance of tropical Cyclone formation this new thing out here on new is 20% chance for that we've got the 10% chance that's a new thing in the Eastern Pacific and then we've got tropical storm Gilmer who is the newly appointed or whatever tropical storm was formerly a tropical depression over here one of the reasons why it's so cluttered is that we've got a Central Pacific storm so as things cross the International Day line the map screws up so and then it continues over there so that's what 91 CP for Central Pacific then over here clearly the big news is haui who is not a category one hurricane is in fact a typhoon haui impacting China right now and then we've got this thing this is one where still predicted to become a tropical storm and get a name any one of these days I think kogi is the next name not sure what that one means and then apparently we've got more spaghetti models 91 WP over there I think that about covers it for all of the many things there's so much going on right now so move on to where it's still hot come on Oklahoma what is up you try to drop the heat advisory just can't finally shake it so that's what the peach killers are is heat advisories they also happen to be where the severe thunderstorm warnings on right now red flag warnings are these colors Arizona and California and Nevada off in this area getting super super hot so this would be let's get back to the main map excessive heat watch this is excessive heat warning these I think are actually flood warning so you know if you could only get the flash flood warnings as a case maybe you get the water to pour out the heat does that work that way probably not and then all of this lovely gray stuff air quality alert so just I don't know have a breathing apparatus or something today severe thunderstorm news let's go to the warnings first since there's more to talk about there so Oklahoma looks like Arkansas affected as well yes Georgia with some severe thunderstorm warnings and then of course that's where the you know the excessive heat well not excessive it's just heat advisory it's not officially excessive heat so we go back to this where it's all confusing and who knows what any of those words words lines mean so here is specifically the wind map so there'll be 5% chance for these are is of severe winds that would be 58 mph greater 5% chance for Hail 1 in larger for this area and then tornadoes not really a threat today tomorrow similar story where it's just 5% so 5% no this could be tornado wind hail probably wi hail though given how things go cuz generally you don't see like a huge tornado threat without you know wind and hail generally the wind and Hil are also very high you don't see like a 45 % chance of a tornado and like 0% chance of wind cuz you know tornado is wind right anyway I mean it's two separate things and how they categorize it for the storm reports but whatever so tomorrow 5% chance is basically the gist of that day after tomorrow then let's make this easier to see we've got a slight risk with the 15% for all of these states so that'd be August 9th how about that oh and I've just realized I need to update that where's future hurricane unless they HED yes it is now Hur okay no necess anyway so this is Day After Tomorrow there's a slight risk and then almost all of the eastern states affected by 5% at the very least day after tomorrow we've got a day four I think that's what that thing is saying yeah red is for day four so day four 30% chance on the East Coast Northeastern type area so yeah obviously something to keep an eye on if you're in those areas but for the next couple days just sort of borderline threats cv.com as homepage of the screencast you can watch the other ones under that link or view the chat page there or yeah Wiki wix's wiked dwx.com there also weather.gov Storm Prediction Center cyclo Cy clc.com and of course if you scroll down you can also click on National Hurricane Center Joint Typhoon Warning Center Japan meteorological agency so yes anesta that's what's going on so hopefully everybody everywhere stay safe even if you're nowhere near anesta just yeah just stay safe as a general rule good rule of life or something anyway that's it for today take it easy
