Mark Odell chief executive of Life Insurance Association of Malaysia expressed shock after receiving a 18,83 7 ring bill for a minor hernia operation at a private Hospital in qualo the surgery which took place in May resulted in a 133-page invoice with 95 charges across 13 categories Odell who has led major insurance companies like AIA and Manu life across Malaysia Singapore Indonesia and Taiwan expressed his disbelief at extensive charges especially for a procedure requiring just a one night Hospital stay he expressed confusion over many of the items listed on the bill questioning how a consumer could determine what charges were necessary and which were not calling the situation unfair
