been a long time since his program's had three straight home games from your perspective as players is thisen you get that kind of stretch can it be something that helps sets up a rhythm for your season yeah um definitely you know we can we can really get something going three home games in a row um give the fans something to watch and it will be fun coming home playing three games what is the benefit really of playing at home and being able to doam uh I like the assails that we get for the games those are probably the best part no no but for real uh it's good to have have our fans there that's big motivator have our fans out there and just be able to just protect the fort you know you miss the no not miss miss obviously result the offensive success you guys were looking for but there was a big emphasis to run the ball with more consistency Justin Marshall over 100 yard four and half yard per carry how do you feel like the offensive line handled the tough situation against we we definitely did some things that we wanted to do but there's at times that we weren't firing all cylinders like you got to against team like Texas so we want to be able to improve against that against Northern Colorado and be able to go work as a group and get done Dre talking to you and Coach best a couple weeks ago you guys both mentioned kind of the offensive line scheme kind of changing a little bit slowing things down um how do you feel like that went in your first game oh it was nice how hot it was out there that was that was very nice to have but we we we will change things up we'll do what we need to for the opponent but that was very nice to we go a little slower C you guys always look for kind of an edge where you can find out about your your opponents you kind of know they were running back a little bit yeah you guys have any thoughts about the reunion with Van uh yeah we talked about it you know everybody knows what type of Runner van is he's a he's a great running back and a great person overall um me and him met a few times in the hole in practice you know we would always talk about it in the locker room it'll be fun going up against him this Saturday mentioned the lessons learned from Friday what do you feel like the biggests that y from that yeah it's really just uh just execution um when you really go back and look you know we had some really good plays I'd say early on um as it started going on things started unraveling a little bit and all you can do is learn from that watch the film and get ready for the next week coach talks about you guys are expected to be exposive offense no explosive plays against Texas how do you guys regain that confidence that you can be that offense that hits those big plays when you need I just think we go out there and just execute like every man that's that's really all we got to do nothing different we just got to be execute every single one of us so when he talks about the 24-hour rule does that is that really in a situation like this does that apply you just kind of move forward and go towards with notion of the off you can do yeah definitely we we got to move forward after after wins losses everything I mean next guy that's all there's to it guys have some youngsters on that that D line what kind of stood out to you about how some of them played sat yeah um the effort was definitely there you know there's obviously uh technique things we can all clean up some of the guys that was their first game playing you know I remember my first game actually playing was against Michigan and there was a lot of things I could clean up so it was exciting to see them go out there and and KN back down and play with effort what's it like going into the stadium like Texas where you have 100,000 fans kind of jering at you and then coming home to your own fans and kind of that homecoming yeah um first of all I mean it's either way it's fun you know um away games and home games I feel like obviously it's better to play at home but you get to see different environments and different teams and different uh things they do so coming home you know you have the fans on your side this time so it's just it's going to be louder on defense quieter on offense def just those are like the key things that I really pick up on Jay talked about the fact that all your goals for the season are still in front of you despite the one L I mean how motivated are you guys we talked about the three game home to get on the right track and to get the season going the way you guys want to yeah I mean uh like you said nothing changes you know it was one game uh it obviously didn't go how we wanted it to go um you know but we got to move forward and we have 11 games ahead of us to do you know what we set up to do accomplish so Drew I know you guys had some experience coming back on the offensive line but you also had two new pieces what did you guys learn in terms of gaining some cohesion moving forward now played oh yeah that was that was a great environment to have that like chemistry get built you know like Colorado is probably G to be another loud game we have just be able to communicate with Alex and Aaron that was a great opportunity for us to bond and get some good looks see you later
