It's Been 3-1/2 Months...Would YOU Believe The Latest News From Villa Vie?

is the Villa V Odyssey finally going to set sale well I have the latest information in this ongoing story hey thanks for watching today I'm Jeff with back roads tourist and before I get into The Saga of the Villa V I have to take just a moment to apologize to you a few days ago I did a video on a new policy being put into play by Royal Caribbean for people who have received a free Cruise offer from the casino it looks like I interpreted the information incorrectly and from what I've seen a lot of other people who report on cruising topics got this information wrong too A lot of them are making amends so I thought I probably should too the way I read the information I received made it seem like Royal Caribbean was going to follow in the footsteps of princess and require a $200 deposit from people who booked a cruise through the free casino offers that onboard casinos sometimes make the deposit would then be returned to you in the form of onboard credit that's what princess does and it looked like that's what Royal Caribbean was doing too but that's sort of not the case it's being reported that the new policy of charging a $200 deposit is only going to apply to Cruisers who have a history of not showing up for their free cruises if they don't show up for a cruise the Ship Sails with a stateroom that could have potentially been sold to someone else so the deposit is sort of an added incentive for people to fill the State room so my apologies for any confusion like I said a lot of other people got it wrong too so I'm in pretty good company if you could help me ease my Shame by liking this video I sure would appreciate it and let me tell you what happens if you hit that little subscribe button down there if you click on it you're going to know when I put out new videos and I do that several times every week most of the videos I do are on cruising topics but every now and then I throw you kind of a curveball and I do a video on a unique amazing or just plain weird place that I visited I think you might like those videos too now let's talk about the Villa V Odyssey to refresh your memory The Villa V Odyssey is a residential cruise ship you pay a boatload of money for a cabin and then you cruise around the world for the rest of your life according to their website staterooms start at $120,000 for an inside cabin and go up to $350,000 for a balcony Suite The Odyssey was supposed to begin a three-year World Cruise back in miday but the ship ran into problems and things needed to be repaired so the launch date was moved back a little bit then it was moved back again and then again and to cut to the chase the V Odyssey is still in the bfast shipyard 3 and 1/2 months after the initial launch date a few residents were were interviewed and they seem to be taking it in stride amazingly enough they get to spend the day on the ship watch movies and eat their meals but at one point they weren't allowed to sleep on the because the fire doors needed to be tested or something like that now I haven't heard any updates on that situation so I don't know if they're sleeping in their state rooms yet or if they're still in hotels at Villa's expense well there's been an update spokesperson for vill has said that the Odyssey could set sail as early as next week that may be good news but it's news that we've heard before the spokesperson said that they are in the last stages of departure and that they expect a very anticipated successful launch next week then they will head to Bremer Haven Amsterdam and Lisbon before crossing the Atlantic to the Caribbean my friends what do you think the odds are that the Odyssey really does set saale sometime next week and while you're pondering that let me ask you another question would you feel comfortable cruising the world in a ship that's had so many problems even if the problems have been fixed I think I'd kind of feel the same way as if I was driving across the country in an older used car some things may have been fixed or replaced or looked at but there's a good chance that there's going to be other mechanical problems on the horizon I hope I'm wrong I really hope I do I hope that it's nothing but smooth sailing for the residents of the Villa V Odyssey but we'll see one more thing I would like to touch on and I mentioned this in a video a while ago but I think it deserves to be repeated I want you to keep in mind that I have no control over which commercials are played before during or after my videos that's entirely at the discretion of YouTube so if a political ad pops up don't assume that I support or indorse that candidate the same holds true for any AD you might see when you're watching my videos all right I didn't put them there YouTube did hey thanks again for watching today I'm Jeff I really hope I get to meet you on a future Cruise
