point they're on point so let's get to it everybody's talking about it number one on movies on Netflix Rebel Ridge Rebel Ridge Game Changer and Rebel Ridge uh I think you were saying on your social media the best movie of the year so far dude I know I sometimes I sometimes I do be a prisoner at the moment okay got you all right cool it's all but I went back and listen oh I've always talk a lot of [ __ ] and say I'm going to go back and watch this I watch this twice and I was like no this my [ __ ] serious my sh I've already watched Rebel Ridge is incredible uh I can't Rave enough about this movie this is how you do a movie I don't I got a lot to say about this [ __ ] got a lot say starting from the the the main actor to the the synopsis to the to How They carried it out listen I'm going tell you straight up before we even get to this shiter I know y'all [ __ ] like to see the rock jump over skyscrapers and toss semi trucks at people okay this isn't [ __ ] Sylvester Stallone getting shot 68 times and then still going to fight North Korea's whole Army and beating them this ain't that okay this is real this is realistic [ __ ] yeah right this is the the the the plot is realistic the fighting is realistic he is a human being he's not a [ __ ] RoboCop okay this is how you do a movie that's great I we we love we love Jason stum yeah got you we love that he can he can beat up 300 people without even catching a breath we love that all right yeah but every so often you got to put some real [ __ ] out just as that and and simple enough I'm just going to get to the plot summary alone and talked about this actor Aaron Pierre uh he plays a former Marine confronted with corruption in a small town uh local law enforcement unjus inly uh seizes a bag of cash he needs to post his cousin's bail yeah and I will definitely not hesitate to say you want a film that gets straight to it not even five not even five minutes not even five minutes do now I give it to you get to the [ __ ] I give itam I give it to you thank you shees this [ __ ] rode a bike for 30 second hey look bro I want to like I want to get a bike just because literally literally be a bik now no no at least you'll keep me in the household that's all I care about yeah uh although there is one thing this [ __ ] was listening like metal music okay that's okay so that took away from uh I mean the whole movie is realistic I just felt like you know many [ __ ] cuz he didn't have no hip hop in his headphones I'm not say hip-hop I say hip-hop but I ain't just seen no regular [ __ ] walk riding his bike around to Metallica I ain't listen no shade I'm just saying I was like okay what we doing that I was like what we doing right now but it worked that's one of that's one of the little things that's one of the little things I mean but as you were saying from action story mhm I mean Supporting Cast yeah I mean these were a couple of no names only one one Don Johnson Don Johnson n Bridges Nash Bridges nobody really had seen the original Mi Vice he also played in jeno and he was yeah and he was racist in that and he was racist but he did he did good I was like oh he's the he's the uh poster child we got need a racist white guy yeah we play it and then jump back out he's with the folk he's with the folk uh but yeah everything lining in here um and going to a little further uh we don't know too much about his backstory I mean we learn more uh the foreshadowing here is amazing yes very much uh going into him coming to this small town riding a bike uh wanting to get his cousin uh out on bail we find out that he uh was in a bad crime so the point is where hey you want to help out your cousin comes into the town wants to post Bill he has a bag full of money uh he gets pulled over of course I mean this well don't get pulled over no no no sorry starts off yeah sorry sorry sorry no you're good but the scene starts off with him riding his bike there's a cop trailing him he has headphones on listening to midd music uh and then um and then the the the cop smacks his bike I mean what they call he pit Maneuvers his bike knocks dude 30 ft in front of him he doesn't even know what happens at that moment and then the cops jump out the truck or jump out their car uh got guns pointed at them tell them to get down I mean just you know immediately triggering right imediately triggering especially what's going on right now with three Hill that was just pulled over I just watched that video that that was a crazy video yeah yeah um so yeah very similar to that but on the ground yeah then uh of course he's able to he's able to get off uh I mean they they find that you know he's clean yeah so this beginning scene kind of sets the tone for the moov we just got to touch on this a littleit okay this this beginning scene where he gets he's on the ground he's got the cops right so I'm watching this and like it's IM it's immediately triggering it's it's immediately uh emotional as a as a black man especially but um just even as a man where somebody is uh has an authority over you and abusing their Authority right his demeanor his calmness that is kind I mean it's so needed because too many times we see uh images of people reacting irrationally uh emotionally right as opposed to carrying out whatever their objective is and then getting caught up in their emotions so much that they get um you know that they they catch themselves in trouble right even though he's being treated just super poorly super bad they're they start searching his bag he doesn't want to give them access to his bag but like oh you got to wait here for 45 minutes then for the Kines he's like okay well go ahead and search the bag where just which is where they found the cash and then they instead of you know he he explains where the cash is from and what it's going to but they tell him no we've concluded from our investigation that this is drug money so they have confiscated his 30k that he needs this money to go ba his cousin out of uh jail and they want to start a business he's basically but his demeanor I think this is so so [ __ ] important his demeanor is so calm it's so rational that we need those images of people understanding to not be triggered so quickly because you accomplish it if you if you uh if you you know we've seen too many instances where a cops getting you know where where they getting even more rough and they're rough with him but because of his demeanor become his common they don't really have any they can't yeah they can't escalate it right which is kind of his again a bit of foreshadowing because this is kind of his demeanor throughout the the movie is uh he's more of a de escalator even though he's capable of of taking it to another level which obviously we get to later on in the movie but I just find that that so important because we don't see that often enough um so uh I mean I'm watching this dude and I'm like oh this this this [ __ ] got to be a superhero next like if he ain't in the next Marvel movie and yeah he's actually he's actually Aaron Pier Aaron Pierre amazing actor he's cast for the blade film that's what I hear yeah he he's also cast for Mufasa oh let's give him a moment of silence as J James Jones absolutely off to it uh but yes I mean he's he's definitely lined himself up with a lot of the roles this is this is who y'all think Michael B Jordan is oh yeah oh this is this is who Michael B Jordan think list I like Michael but this but he's got Michael B Jordan has no Edge to him this guy encompasses all of it um great actor great demeanor throughout the whole film um you absolutely could see him in Blade oh yeah he could be a vampire he in that [ __ ] I don't know if he's going to be I don't know who he is yeah I don't want I I mean I don't want him to take that take that Les as far as the transition for the current blades I mean sure marial I don't need him to be Blade no but but in that like that would be someone that I could see going slick I'm not mad I wouldn't be yeah I wouldn't be mad at it I love when they take Ador who who we don't really see that often he's done he's done some things prior he's done this kind of like what they did with um um dude that was supposed to play Kane oh oh um Megan good husband or dude whatever whatever yeah I know you're talking about Michael El's [Music] Nemesis um where we hadn't seen him before and then boom he kind of pops up he started and he's doing amazing shows and he's in amazing movies unfortunately what happened to him but this is this is kind of that but man I I can't Rave enough about this guy this movie really so this is this is what I really really enjoy about this movie um he is able to intimidate without even really threatening it's his it's his calmness his demeanor he's very he's very um he's very adamant about getting his cousin out of jail uh before something bad happens to his cousin yep you have these white racist cops um who uh who are basically trying to confiscate the money and keep it um and they explain later on like there's such a deeper plot there's even a moment of because this guy is so rational he's so easy to kind of communicate with there's even a moment of of of of Common Ground between the cops and the guy um obviously that doesn't last too long but you know even Don Johnson his he's the chief of the of the city so this whole city is a smaller City it's it's fairly corrupt right so I mean it goes as high as the judge everybody's kind of in on it and even the workers that know that there's wrong things going on cu whole bu of things behind theen they have to keep their job right because there ends up being a woman who does want to help them and they come after her and she uh yeah had the uh she was basically had a drug problem uh and then basically get further from uh being uh fully fully put under the jail they give her the opportunity she's trying she's already fighting uh battle custody battle yeah she's fighting custody battle this is a and it's a great Revenge plot but we don't get there for a while but you just just the buildup the anticipation and then when you get to thetion you fin get I mean it's so it we want to see B action scenes the beginning but this story builds so well it builds so well into the action parts of the movie and those aren't overdone you know he he takes care of what he needs to take care of but he's not Invincible he still has to dodge bullets and if he gets shot like he's in like he's hurt he's injured um you know he's he's uh but but the fights seem so this this is uh if you're familiar with with some figh his style is is fairly MMA Brazilian jiu-jitsu is kind of his background I don't it's bit of a spoiler alert but you clearly know that this guy he's a big dude yeah so you know they they there's some Googling of his past and they got to figure out who this guy is called an M uh map impact or something like that something map something like so that basically um but I don't know I can't Rave about this movie enough I know I'm missing things because I just I I love this movie so much like said the plot is there um and again the triggering aspect of it because we see this so many times and this isn't just a racial thing we see cops abuse their power so often I don't want to speak ill poorly about cops right because you know obviously they're only going to show us on on social media and TV like the the major bad instances but we still see this quite a bit we see we see cops that abuse their power um and and there's nothing that could be done about it that we see you know even we talked about in the last um last episode with the U my worst ex ever uh where there just the law just did not take yeah it take care I mean it just didn't take care of the people and these are real occurrences this movie is so realistic the fighting is realistic and sometimes you just need that realistic aspect I don't need you know I don't need uh Michael Bay coming in and blowing up every building in the [ __ ] whole you know in the whole movie and cars launching across the sky but and and another thing to add on somebody was like hold on I'll let you add on but I seen a meme where somebody it was like imagine the car that like you're you're leasing uh gets gets thrown by get thrown by The Hulk and he and he misses and now your car's just in a building car sitting up there it's a very funny Insurance go ahead but no to add on to it from what you were saying they did do a good little job of showing both sides as you were saying what we're what we're exposed to on social media in the modern times what we're also seeing is the with his demeanor what he's able to carry he does know about the law but he's also giv them an understanding about what he's able to do and why it's the wrong thing to do why that yes those ones the the officers uh the people working for the government have took a blind eye to it just to keep their jobs but honestly we need to know what we got what we signed up for and Al together there perspective in this there's even again even at the ending I know some people might not be so happy with the I thought I thought it tieden so well I thought this is how you even the ending sure again we could have had you know Transformers come in and take over the city and kill everybody sure that's great but this is this is just again it's more realistic um and I love the realistic aspect some people just don't don't Vibe with the movie because they just can't relate to the story but me I mean we've been in we were fairly treated pulled over pulled out of cop cars made to sit in 30° weather while we watch the cops sit there and take 45 minutes to get our information back just going down you the street and this has happened this has happened to us this happened to me and him on on a number of occasion so it it's one of those things like once you relate to it uh I think it hits a little bit harder um but I think it's a good representation of how to handle things in a calm obviously we want to you know pride and ego takes over but this this movie I I can't again I can't Rave about it enough um there's one gripe there's one gripe I had I only have one gripe with this hit me hit me cuz I'm about well let me make this point make your point make a point to add on to it it shows you to not allow yourself to make a long-term decision bed off temporary yes exactly yes yes um go ahead what you right I don't like the name of this movie I think Rebel Ridge is very PL yeah because they listen Rebel Ridge is like it's not memorable yeah yeah I don't know if they just didn't realize how big this movie was going to get or how great it was going to be dude cuz I I I just was scrolling and it said you know coming soon and I was like ah whatever I guess I'll this on it looked kind of good and it ends up being in this incredible movie and the name sounds like lifetime came up with it like Rebel Ridge is where they meet there's a there's a place in the movie where at like towards the end they meet at Rebel Ridge and I was just like oh I don't like this name of this movie this movie should have been the name I feel like should have had a little bit more shock value to it um something a little bit more memorable uh so I'm going with um for me when I'm watching this yeah uh he he reminded me of like a blackjack Reacher okay yeah yeah minus and even Jack Reacher goes a little bit over and I thought and I thought I call this black Reacher and honestly what you said about uh no I don't black Reacher no black black reer would have been Fu no if that was like a 2B 2B title I got you but no that does not reel Ridge AKA black Reacher is no no it stop no it needs let it be in its own its own own door okay uh no no I would never do that no I wouldn't do that to him but somebody but you are you but are you comparing his build to the breacher from the T show our guy Jack Reacher from the TV show uh I can't think of his name he's a he's a bigger dude and even in Jack Reacher which I really really loved a bit overdone this guy can't like he's [ __ ] the Jack and the beant stock he's [ __ ] huge right so it's really hard to take him down I really like Jacker the show uh this this again this this guy just reminded me kind of of the overall demeanor where he's just like cool calm Collective you can't really knock him off his game but when it's time to handle business [ __ ] I'm I'm going take that ass out I got you no I got you so I would have enjoyed a better name I think Rebel Ridge is not memorable enough I think like if you're scrolling through YouTube uh YouTube Excuse me if you're scrolling through Netflix and you see Rebel Ridge among 30 other movies you're not instantly clicking you're just not instantly clicking grab ATT but I'm glad it's getting enough hype to where I mean dude this movie like the ratings on this movie are as high as dead they're as high as dead no seriously I I honestly if they would have had more I mean more money back into it from the company they could actually put in theaters yeah no this movie absolutely should have been yeah I would this this this is an incredible movie I hope to see this guy in more things I cut you off got you that's I think you're a hater I think it's a great I don't think no you're ha you're already Black Jack Reacher trying to take away the ra racial standpoint as it is so no [ __ ] Reacher once again you're going to tuby you're going and shout out to my lightskin brother cuz he a little lightskinn he a little lightskin I got you I I don't again I don't think a lot of people are going to go from there what do you rate it uh oh this is fire okay fire this is fire there's no there's no stra stra this is just fire and a half this movie is incredible I could I watch this again and this is a long movie mhm two hours yeah two hours well so like to watch you know but it it was worth it one of those movies I don't mind it was that no that's not no definitely take attention to it Hell Fire Hell Fire on there uh then check it out Rebel Ridge um Aaron Pierre definitely he will be coming with a lot more content at the end of the year he's got the Mufasa film they'll be voicing so we get to see the origin uh from The Lion King perspective and then hopefully we get to does he have the I mean he kind of looked like Mufasa but does he have the voice for MAF because it's a cartoon in it no no no no yeah like the like the last Lion King that just did oh live action M oh okay okay yeah yeah yeah yeah so we'll see it's the story of the the D story of Mufasa yeah muasa yeah uh but yeah so we we'll check it out and see hopefully yeah we get a trailer hopefully soon about blade cuz that's supposed to be coming out next year anyway all right let's um but yeah so on to it and this is something that I wish I could do say one name three times and vanish Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is out in theaters right now you say it three times yeah you say it three times oh like Candyman yeah that's another good comparison for you right there yeah you're right [ __ ] with me yeah I don't want to but yes again my name three times like Candy Man uh Beetle Juice Beetle Juice if you know uh 80s babies all of that uh I mean everyone's going to the theaters to see it it doesn't matter Michael gon yes the original original Beetle Juice okay what's what's I am not excited about beet I never like Beetle Juice what is the hype about Beetle Juice talk to me like I think me okay first of all Tell me about the movie tell me how good it is and then tell me why I should go back and watch Beetle Juice from the original if you if you know going on to now uh the Beetle Juice was conjured up as a poltergeist uh Poltergeist ghost uh that helped a family uh a couple in a household get rid of get rid of people that moved into their household okay oh okay now is this a remake or a sequel Sequel and it came out in ' 88 oh go damn yeah yeah yeah yeah I know got you um So currently three generations of the Deets family which is the main character of course um went on to Ryder she was she played the original daughter uh they returned to the home after unexpected tragedy her father uh lost um and due to the haunting of Beetlejuice her F her life has just basically been turned upside down uh constantly seeing Beetlejuice through everything that she does uh she has a rebellious teenage daughter of course our girl who actually plays Wednesday um no I really like her she's bro there's nothing she's not touched she's also in Adam's family right so Wednesday from she's playing Wednesday she's playing Wednesday from Adam's family and from Adams Family but okay okay so P juice is not Wednesday okay no it's not the same thing no it's not the same no no they're not the same thing but they remind me of each other it's crazy Tim Tim Burton the director does both has both of them oh he did the original Adams Family and he did be and he did be that makes sense why they yeah he going to keep going um so basically the daughter is able to discover a mysterious uh portal to the afterlife she wants to meet her father who uh who passes away uh during her during during her childhood uh someone a of course as you say say Beetle Juice three times and uh the M mischievous demon will appear to unleash Brandon Mayhem go from there what I'm telling you and you basically are not fascinated about this nostalgic I know you're not that for all of those people that grew up in those times be they're going like they like no no no no in terms of the the fan base oh fan base a lot heavier a lot lot heavier like Ghostbusters like Ghostbusters no I think be juice has probably got more of a fan base than Ghostbusters no but I'm saying no I wouldn't put Crow with that I was only referring to the the the the people that are cult followers of this type of like okay mov I'm say Ghostbuster fan base uh Beetlejuice fan base Crow well I wasn't yeah I don't want to put Crow oh yeah I got you it was it was just comp I got you on there um okay the premise sounds kind of good is this a now is the movie goof cuz seems like he's goofy he is Goofy he is Goofy scary or is it just funny it's just a just nothing but puns I like Michael Keon I just couldn't get in now now I will say I will say um it's probably just Tim Burton in general I don't care for Adam's Family either oh Tim Burton yeah and that's just not man people love Tim they love nightmare El not nightmare but The Nightmare Before Christmas people love uh Adam's family and Beetle Juice and those I've never I've never liked none of those so that's probably just me not liking that style I'm waiting for and they've actually he actually had that on had that on development but after uh the uh big uh the big trial between uh the uh what's the girl's name from uh Aquaman but of course if you know Johnny Depp Johnny Depp Johnny Depp was actually supposed to do the live adaptation of before no Night Before Christmas oh that would that would have been tough tough I could I could I could see that I'd like a live I never care for the movie but a live one with Johnny Depp yeah Johnny Depp that's what I'm saying Amber Amber herd yeah Amber Johnny Depp Johnny Depp and Michael Keaton have all done nothing phenomenal yeah so that's their go um Michael ke yeah shout out Michael ke he's uh aging Grace for man what was he just in we just saw him in um Knox goes away KN goes away what was that where he he was the father helping the son get off yes James Mar yeah yeah shout out you would think he was older you would think he was older you know with his age not he's he's still doing it yeah he's still he's still getting it in uh I mean for me I I'm going to keep it I'm going to keep it as uh I'm going to keep it as basic I I mean it's just nostalgic reasons wise I mean that's that's what it was for me I'm hearing it's amazing oh I mean I I mean I loved it but but I think it was longer it was longer than the first one so it's like they were all that when they take that much time with all these films you know I mean of course you want to keep it adapting you want to keep it modern you want to keep people intrigued but for everyone else that are Die Hard fans they're still living not that they regardless I mean I'm going to go see it I know the kids like it and you know I take I take the and like I said Wednesday yeah Wednesday why I mean that girl everything my son really wants to see it oh yeah of course yeah yeah we got the outfits coming lady kids so yeah we're good but yeah definitely check that out it's in theaters right now uh and let's uh get away from theaters honestly I could have thought you know what it's good it's a limited series but I could have put it as a movie if it was I thought it was I was watching the first episode so million dooll fight on peacock which is limited I thought it was no no no no Fight Night: Million Dollar Heist it's a limit you thought it was a movie you're just saying it wrong it's Fight Night million dooll Heist million dooll fight oh okay okay yes stop okay I got you oh thank you I corrected you when you texted me but now you say okay that's fine Fight Night million dooll Heist that's what it's called you're welcome for once I'll chop you out don't worry no I'll make you look good you you you may not need to okay I am a Kevin Hart fan so I don't why you're yeah I'm the one who be caping for this [ __ ] you I'll be caping for him you be caping for him over people who be talking [ __ ] about him you've talked trash about them too yeah but in love with love what yeah that's what I do with you talk about you would love yeah uh again with the cast it's Infamous but a little bit of backstory Infamous story about how an an arranged armed robbery on the night of Muhammad Ali's historical 1970 fight with Quarry uh transformed Atlanta into what they called the black Mecca this is dope cuz I live in Atlanta yeah MH Got You cast alone so I know when they talk about different areas one of the East Point there when I'm from Southside so it's really cool cuz I kind of I did like one thing about and cast of course is I mean c is A1 here we go Kevin Harts Samuel Jackson we got Terence Howard Terence Howard haven't seen in a long time in film uh been on [ __ ] podcast talking about crazy ass math Stop P Henson um Che already yeah Don Cheeto Don Cheeto and and a lot of other bro I did not know that the uh the pimp was David Banner yeah you didn't know was crazy I mean hey that's good hey again you can see what hip-hop does to certain people hey change it around um uh anybody else I can think of no I think I think that's like that that cat a lot like he's got keev I mean not not well the one of the main robbers uh I've seen him in multiple things too the fro yeah he um kind of the main guy the main he actually played in um he was in power he was in the first season of power yes he was the driver son yeah son yeah um give me your play on Kevin Hart as Kevin Hart man okay and I I love this agree great this isn't one of those ones go ahead go ahead no he's not pushing too much on the comedy aspect giveing me more serious I mean it's not even it's it's it's him it's like natural for him not being too [ __ ] goofy or trying to be over exaggerative in terms of how he acts acting and [ __ ] all right all right no this is like this is probably how he is almost every day making little you know in this one he's a little bit more kind of like a he's a hustler yes yes he's a bookie um but he wants to Kevin Hart's character is a he lives in Atlanta you have a big gangster Frank moton who uh played by Samuel Jackson who's going to come into the city on Fight Night yes uh Kevin Hart's character gets wind of this and he goes by Chicken Man chicken man yes um SOI man this is a True Story by the way based on a true story loely based on a true story um uh which I I went to read the true story but they said the if you read the true story you'll get spoiler so I'm going to wait yeah got course good of course got you Samuel L Jackson's character Frank moton comes in he's a big gangster kind of like a Frank Lucas uh I say Frank I was like they talking about Lucas but um and there's multiple gangsters from different uh Terence Howard is from different countries like they run their different regions of South they have the Midwest they're coming to Atlanta Muhammad Ali is uh this is fresh off of the draft dodging he just got out released out of prison uh for not going to war um Don Cheeto is a detective who is uh assigned to his detail which he doesn't want to do uh cuz he's a war veteran he doesn't actually agree with Ali for dodging the war um so he's they you know he he gets the Uncle Tom kind of um references in here uh although he is for his people of course um and then you have uh so the gangster comes in and uh when Chicken Man AKA Kevin Hart gets wind of this he wants to be his right-hand man for Atlanta so he really wants to work for he's a connection guy he wants to you know yeah he wants to whatever Frank M need that be his territory basically that's his that's his kind of just goal here that's his that's his overall aspiration so he does everything he can to make sure that he gets a meeting with Frank M that he sets up the party for Frank M when Frank molon comes in that he's the one that gets him to the fight that gets him the girls like and he's able to to to knock out quite a bit of this stuff and so he kind he does start getting a relationship with Frank molon uh but the party that he throws yes ends up getting before they get there it gets robbed it's uh they they have everybody hostage in there and so after the fight when he when he gets Frank Molton to come back to it uh there's people in there and they they uh take them hostage right make them strip and all types of stuff so now you got who's a real gangster uh looking at Chicken Man Kevin Hart sideways like it was a setup so now Kevin Hart is trying to get out of you know trying to figure out a way out of this um and uh and prove that it wasn't a setup yeah or at least his setup yeah um and uh that's where this this whole show is kind of based on and then you have that's one of the stories and then the separate story is going is your Muhammad Ali um with Don Cheeto story cuz they kind of bump heads for a little bit and then they start to kind of turn their relation really cool part of it um all this kind of comes to yeah Dono ends up after the whole fight thing doneto ends up getting called to this party and this is these aren't spoiler alerts these are in the first three episodes this [ __ ] is so [ __ ] good I can't Rave about this show enough the music is fire the plot is fire this is how you utilize these actors all in the same movie because right you get you get this type of movie and you're like oh they just thre a bunch of names in there to try to Hype it up no each one of them like amazing Samuel Jackson has the main gangster amazing you got Kevin Hart as the Hustler SL aspirate you know want to be run the numbers yeah running numbers right he's he's just kind of a kid on the block or a young guy on the Block trying to just you know make some money and so his character is amazing Kevin Hart plays this 2 a yes this works for Kevin Hart this ain't a random like oh this throw in Borderlands and have him act like a random character this ain't that this really works for Kevin Hart's charactera Kevin Hart does really well in shows oh no Ser he's good in shows like his shows are good yeah and he's the main character in this so I really him and Dono and probably Sam but this is this is really really definitely seen everything from Kevin yeah no definitely Kevin Hearts yeah but because of there's two stories I would say Don Cheeto kind of has his own uh main kind of role as well yeah um and all these characters the way they mesh together the way they roll off each other teren how is not like he's the main gangster of his region but he runs with Frank they are the Black Mafia at the end of the day they end up being you know you you figure out they're the Black Mafia um so these gangsters that are robbing and kidnapping the place uh they don't know that they have just taken Hostage to Black Mafia so now when they find out they get [ __ ] scared this whole show is beautiful and it starts off fire and I'm watching this [ __ ] I literally hit pause cuz I was like is this a movie cuz I was like this is amazing and then I realized it was just the episode like okay cool fam I didn't know only three episodes were out I was so all I was so devastated be patient I was so need to be no [ __ ] I sat on my I sat on my couch for like 20 minutes after like please don't do this to me please don't do this to me you were getting yourself set up set up I stopped everything like I couldn't stop watching this [ __ ] I had [ __ ] to do last night and I was like oh no no next episode next episode uh your first episode was probably like an hour the second and third or about 45 minutes or so oh my gosh man I can't Rave about this show enough I mean you have to watch show definitely with the definitely with the ' 80s Arc they did very well with that got to see as far as how they were running I mean if you had nothing else to do as far as your your 9 to5 your day job you running numbers I mean they did that very well when you go into the clubs going to the bars uh yeah you were gambling uh I mean prostitution I mean it was it was B Hinson did you say that yeah oh I'm sorry she kind of side chick SL like assistant but I forgot one Lori Harvey oh my gosh yeah okay I'm glad you brought her up for a long time I've been seeing her like you know coupled with dudes and obviously she gets you know she gets RAV from one side cuz she you know she does her thing and then she gets hate from Another Side and I've seen pictures of her and I'm like okay she's a pretty girl like you know she's a pretty girl she she's she's attractive whatever I don't know I you know it is what it sorry listen bro vanola s yeah I saw her so I didn't know who she was I didn't know she was in the show yeah okay and when she opened the door to Kevin Hart there's a scene where she's like a she's like a celebrity in the show and Frank molon wants to yeah Lola Frank mton wants to meet her and Kevin Hart catches wind of this so his whole thing is like if he facilitates this he gets in good with Frank moton and so when he goes man when he goes up to her room she I don't know who she is at this point and she opens the door like godamn who the [ __ ] is this and uh I immediately looked it up cuz I was like I've never who is this girl yeah and it said Lori Harve like oh my gosh okay I was like I take back everything I get it so now I get it I get all these listen I get listen I get what all these [ __ ] I can go I can keep going down this list got their heartbroken I can go down this list and his you down listen bad and and your father is Steve Harvey you want to you can break my heart I'm down I'm down I'll take the Heartbreak I'll take the Heartbreak I'm done I'm done yo Lor har is different do she's different hey it is what it is hey she and she says it I mean I'm I'm to live my life that's what she says I'm to live my life I'm I'm living my life too what we do sh what we doing here shut up okay all right what are you rated this is a fire show today is a day of fire Fight Night is the best show on TV right now I know I probably said that about perfect couple but [ __ ] that scratch that this is on peacock yeah peacock mhm bro Fight Night is incredible this is how in this era like I was kind of a little bit like oh I don't know like this era you have to do this era right cuz we've seen these like can't TCH it bell bottom afro ER and I'm like they're just like I'm not I'm not into that scene as much especially when they get to like the drug dealing aspect of that scene we've seen it before we've seen a million shows that are based in that era that are about drug dealing but this one background I mean from the times that they're talking how they did with the radio I I mean everything everything lined up to a t uh yeah I'm definitely firing on there I mean it's only three episodes but again continues up defitely Kevin hard is has got he's in his bag on this one so definitely would check that out for the $59 million Heist uh on peacock and uh let's switch off to a movie that's in theaters skare skin Skincare care yeah so Elizabeth Banks it's been a minute actually you know she's directed she's directed some stuff too now this is a movie I feel like went on the radar didn't really see any ads for this um I actually went to the theater and I when when uh when we went to the theater we were deciding between cuckoo and skare and we went to see cuckoo cuz I was like I don't know about skincare got I finally did watch skincare and this movie's this movie is great yeah it's a really good movie I mean she's uh true story based on a true story right and and so much so that the main person when they found out it was about them they're now suing them yes so um so this is uh this is so set the premise of the of the show or the movie EXC the movie you have a Hollywood um skin care professional uh expert and she does uh she runs her own business she runs she has uh skincare products facial products esthetician esthetician um but she's like the Hollywood go-to right she does a bunch bunch of high-end people she takes care of their skin um so somebody moves in across the street and they happen to also do skin care right so now she has a bit of a rival across the street she's not happy about this now coincidentally when this person moves across the street somebody starts trying to sabotage her business M as somebody's trying to sabotage her business obviously she immediately thinks that the guy that moved across the street it's him so she becomes very obsessed with trying to catch him and so I mean she gets her Tire slashed somebody sends out an email about her uh and like very uh sexual explicit content uh to all of her clients so she starts losing clients um so someone is trying to sabotage her somebody puts out Craigslist ads uh saying that her her shop is a sex shop and then people start coming in and like trying to have sex with her so it's pretty crazy right so she immediately is like okay this guy moves across the street he's my he's my rival and clearly he uh clearly he's trying to sabotage me so she becomes very obsessed and devises this whole plot to catch him uh get revenge on him uh that is the plot of the show she goes pretty diabolical with it uh there is a Twist there's a bit of you start to find I don't want to tell you the story because it's it's a really good movie and you should really really watch I Didn't Know Him side of seen him before he was in the the most recent uh Top Gun and then he also played in the family uh for the strangers that was the last thing that I ever seen and what's her name Elizabeth what Elizabeth Banks what is what is and oh dude uh she's from a lot of [ __ ] she's like her main movies are uh well I know she's in um she's in pitchf the yeah one of the host show host with the dude or they just make jokes about the show the whole time um yeah so she does uh she does she does a lot of oh yeah she H games oh she's yeah um so Elizabeth Banks great great love her um but this movie is really really fire uh the links that she goes to to get revenge on this guy and then there just a bunch of other [ __ ] happening at the same time um and she starts figuring stuff out and there are some fatalities in this movie there are some fatalities there are some uh there's some some prison sentences given out there's a lot going on and it's based on a p this did happen this really really did happen they probably exaggerated a bit in the movie but uh skincare is a really really good movie to watch it's real good it's it's kind of a bit of a teachable moment you know jumping to the conclusion to get [ __ ] up um and this guy across the street that does run the like his own um business he does start like a lot of her clients start going to him because he has kind of this revolutionary uh new skincare product that he uses like NASA [ __ ] and um her whole life revolves around skincare so she's losing it she's literally losing it as this guy starts to gain it so she starts watching her clients go into his and he's across the street yeah so like she goes in there she starts yelling at one of her clients like you know so she goes a little berserk on here um and uh no no really really good movie she was accused I mean she was accused of you know plotting plotting some things yeah and actually 10 years ago is when the when the legal matter yes uh so skin care I'm going to go go ahead and rate it uh this is a dope movie really really dope dop very very dope movie uh watch this movie skare is a really good movie you can watch it with your partner uh it's a good movie to watch with like your your girl I think um it just has a lot of good elements much the females agree yeah yeah uh and and it and it's uh it'll keep you engaged the whole time there's not a boring part of this movie from the from the beginning it it just gets right to it uh so absolutely watch this movie dope movie that's my that's my rating of that was good on that was good on the four for the week uh definitely want to slide in a sleeper or two yeah these are ones of course if we SLEEPER PICKS always talked about these are ones that think we F under the radar what we found entertaining and uh definitely would give attention to you had one and I had one let's go with yours first last stop to Yuma County First for best Yuma last Last Stop in Yuma County stop to Yuma County right um you're the worst you're the worst uh yeah so last stop to Yuma County is a really cool movie it actually came out this year didn't hear much about it uh it came out this year and um I think May okay yeah let me see when this came out so last stop to Y County okay anyways I'll just get straight to it it's a really cool movie uh really really cool movie uh just one of your simple like one or two settings movie so basically um you have these people that are coming into this town all right so this guy's driving through this town and he's running low on gas so he goes to this gas station and the gas station pump is down because the truck hasn't come to fuel up yet yep so they uh so he just so he goes next door to this Diner uhhuh and this happens to multiple people um and so as more people start kind of feeling up this Diner they're all kind of they're waiting on this gas truck to come so they're all in this Diner however these characters are have kind of all their own crazy [ __ ] going on so this movie takes kind of a bit of a turn when um two of the people that end up in this Diner are somebody are people that just robbed a bank uh from a little like a town before right and then nobody can get gas cuz he got to wait on his gas truck and the next town over uh or the next gas pump is about 100 miles so nobody can make it to the next one uh the guy that runs the gas pump is actually uh F FZ um black dude big black dude uh pinky or not pinky what's his name not pinky uh worm Big Worm oh um love F love fa on love um he's the one that runs the gas pump anyways this guy goes into this uh this Diner so he's sitting there two bank robbers come in and they're just kind of hanging out because they're trying to lay low uh the waitress that works there her husband is actually the sheriff of the Town um so these guys uh realize that if people notice them that they're going to you know they're going to call the cops or whatever so they basically take while they're in there they uh take the guy and the waitress hostage but nobody really knows it as more people come in only them two know that they're bank robbers right um this turns into a bit of a high stakes like hostage situation MH and they have a bunch of money in their car so as more people start to fill up this Diner there's like a old couple that comes in the guy that's there he's a little weird uh the guy that's already there he's like a knife he sells like knives or something weird like that W is a really pretty girl but she dates like one of the one of the sheriffs um and then you have um couple other characters come in everybody has like it's it's a older town so everybody has like guns and everybody has like their own weapons and stuff it's not crazy like that they're just you know regular folk that are coming into this town and so everything kind of hits ahead when people start to realize who the bank robbers are and that people in there are in are taking hostage uh and then at one point you know there's just a bit of a standoff between everybody I want tell you what happens but it gets really really really good really intense um and the guy the original guy that comes in there first uh it's I I can't tell you about it but it's really crazy this is a really good movie it's very very entertaining the whole movie is entertaining um you should absolutely watch this uh last stop to Yuma County um I'm trying to think if there's anything else that I forgot the the two bank robbers that come in one of them is uh one of them is younger one of them is older the older guy kind of has a better smarter demeanor the younger guy's a bit stupid um so they they kind of mess some [ __ ] up at one point even one of the cops come in and they're trying to alert him but it's hard to do it without these guys you know killing everybody cuz they are they are they told them they you know they they'd kill everybody if anybody you know found out or if anybody alerted the cops or whatever so if you get a chance watch it it's called last stop to Yuma County did you find out what uh it is streaming right now on Prime video okay yeah so really really good movie easy to access watch last stop to Yuma County it's a really really good one time watch um and it has a really good ending it's it's got a pretty pretty funny ending I don't even know if it's considered a comedy movie but it does have its uh comedic parts to it um more of kind of a drama SL Thriller and uh I rate it well I guess I don't rate it cuz it's a spoiler but great great uh great great movie Last Stop to Y County pleasantly surprisingly good check it out just little little story okay well I definitely wanted to be entertained and I definitely wanted to have a good look and I definitely got it from the incoming on Netflix uh of The Incoming course we do get those comedies uh when it comes to the high school times and we reflect on it modern times compared to what we grew up in was a lot different we actually were putting ourselves in those positions whether drinking uh you know you drink I don't drink whether having sex uh you had sex I didn't have sex okay you had a lot more freedom than me like let's keep it a buck what do you mean your mom let you do a little bit more than you than my mom let me do my mom that so with those restrictions that I had that were not as much as yours with was not as much as yours would that make you be more willing to do those things no it would make me more uh more stop more timid and I would be later I would do things later on in life because I wasn't allowed to do them you know what I mean so later on in life yeah cuz you have more access more opportunity we talk about that today with kids where they have like the access and opportunity you had that and I did not definitely want to and we we can you know yeah we we we need to do some we need some research and we're not going to debate right now while I talk about the incoming this is definitely what's funny for me uh I like shut up so if you loved anything as far as super bad this was definitely uh a junior version of that because they were freshmen they weren't seniors so I definitely love this uh love this film uh for freshman in high school they get the opportunity to go to their first high school party uh similarly uh you always wanted to see what it would be like to get that opportunity to be among your friends get to be me the seniors you know of course you're a freshman so you're trying to impress the seniors and that's where they get I mean they're stuck in their ways of course they love video games uh they love uh connecting um on social media certain ways and they want to be amongst the the seniors I loved it because we got to see not just more more of the humorous we got to see the soft side so there's one the one character uh the leag guy he is uh crushing on his sister's uh friend uh she's basically a down Earth girl sister you have a sister now I do have a sister but you remember she had never mind so when it comes down to it it gets the opportunity to ask her she's going to the same part my friends there are some romance that you can find in there but the humor is they're trying to make sure that they can you know live up to the expectations as being a Freshman I mean everything from pranks everything from drinking everything from drugs that you can find in here it's very much humorous you were stingy with them I was not stingy with anything no I'm not sent you with anything don't talk to her don't yeah you don't need to talk to why were you talking to my my sister's friends cuz I'm friendly you're friendly friendly to talk to my sister's friends who were younger than you they weren't young they're like a year younger than me we're talking about high school years wasn't statutory I wasn't 30 almost three so two and a half two and two and a half how how she's three years don't say my sister's name I'm sorry yeah don't say my sister name she's too happy I'll bleep it out too two and years remind me to bleep it out yeah bleep it out where we at 5 2 and years 51 make sure remind you uh shout out to you shut up and your friend shut up so I mean but everything else you know there's always that one uh girl or one guy that is a senior that everybody is trying to live up to in those expectations they find humor in scenes with her uh they find opportunity to uh build on uh with their friendship with the with the older sibling I mean going back and forth dude this is definitely was on some super bad stuff to me and these are characters that I've never seen before except one don't disrespect super bad huh there's no way it's good it's super no no no no no no I give Enlighten what about um Project X so similar to that Project X N I just wonder n Project X N definitely wasn't wasn't matching the Project X uh but no like I said if you're looking for something funny something quirky something you can laugh with your friends laugh by yourself I started watching this and it just felt like I was watching like Diary of a Wimpy Kid with ging oh cuz the profanity profanity didn't do it [ __ ] oh actually I did have some scenes that need to be flagged uh whoa yeah it definitely do you feel weird when you watch like a movie that are like quote unquote high schoolers but they like sexual content in there I always feel like that's kind of weird for I mean at our age to watch it well no not to watch you just see it now you just see it now and it used to be like normal but like now it's like it's kind of weird like she's in high school like the girl was in a high school you know honestly do of sex do you think and well even if they're portraying that I don't believe that they're all that age no I don't I don't think any of them okay got you got you got you but the they represent someone Ag and they put out that there it's kind of weird right I don't know maybe maybe I'm looking too deep into that but I've seen that I've seen people talk about that before yeah well yeah thank God my nephew uh we we don't have to talk about his actions he's hopefully he's been reformed we're not going to say the name anyway but no definitely check it out on Netflix the incoming I definitely I loved it and and uh yeah definitely worth the look um currently on Netflix been a couple I think it was yeah actually June June so yeah still got plenty of time it's still on there it's still yeah incoming uh and that wraps it up we got some content we do got some OUTRO content um I just want to ask you if this if this Rings any bells hit me how can I love you tonight song byis song byis I know that much I don't even remember the words and I know that it a how can I oh yeah I mean I know that song because it's a Entertainer named Cisco that performed it okay I just was your intentions tensions uh just to play songs you think that was appropriate for a 16y old or maybe we were like 14 you think appropriate for a 14y old we were younger um I don't remember movies coming out we got Hollyberry with the movie com Hol Berry's movie's coming out uh what was that called um je uh there's like another one called don't speak no no no you know what it's not called don't speak it's called speak no evil this oh speak noil this is weird though this is weird though okay so I went to look up speak no evil okay and there is a movie in 2022 called speak no evil with the exact same premise yeah as the movie that is coming out or is out now called speak no evil but it's like Americanized so I think this movie was done before okay as a foreign film okay and they're just doing it I almost feel like I saw never let go never let go was a Hollyberry here we go um you got uh we spoke on the Menendez brothers which uh the person who did dmer is doing this so it's going to be a show like that which we know what we got with show that was [ __ ] that's it um I feel like there's another movie smile is coming in smile to Brandy has a movie out now oh yeah we definitely need to talk about that next week definitely and I want to bring up uh at some point I know last last episode I had a uh hot take about black horror shows and movies so you got and uh I made a list and it's it's it's phenomenal okay uh double down on that [ __ ] Joker part two Joker didn't care for the first one but we'll watch the second one just yeah just don't really care about it honestly um and then I mean some TV shows are coming back so hopefully we'll be good from there I know Law and Order I'm hyp about coming back from is coming back yes this month can't wait oh yeah
