Whit Merrifield was NOT Happy after being hit by a pitch in head against the Colorado Rockies #mlb

now Mayfield himself talked to the media after the game it was interesting the Medical Update first he said that he was going to get a CT scan and that likely he was probably not going to be able to play tonight uh and that's just kind of one of those you know precautionary things that's you kind of assume guy gets hit in the head they're going to try to hold him out for a day or so just to be safe he's also though on the mlbpa rules committee and they have a regularly scheduled call this morning he said it's going to be a long conversation on what we've got to do to make pitch think about this I just took 95 right off the head I'm very lucky that it got me in a good spot and on his note it looked like it caught the edge of the helmet so I don't quite think it was flush on his head I think it caught the Ed the the bottom edge of the helmet in the back um I've got to go get a CT scan I'm out of the game he gets to stay in the pitch I'm probably not going to be able to play tomorrow no repercussions on his part and I mean without being overly dramatic that was my life on the line right there
