(horn honks) It is a homecoming for a youngster who survived the impossible. (crowd cheering) 15-year-old Lulu Gribbin returns home after a devastating shark attack. Hello.
Lulu Strong. We love you. Waving her prosthetic arm, the double amputee paraded through her hometown in a golf cart decked out in purple, her favorite color. Well-wishers lined the streets to cheer her on, many holding signs reading "Lulu Strong." Lulu lost her left hand and part of her right leg during a terrifying shark attack on a beach off the Gulf Coast in Florida. The teen spent two months recovering at several hospitals before recuperating enough to go home to Alabama. Welcome home, Lulu. Lulu's being embraced by the entire country. Hey, Lulu. Words of comfort are pouring in from A-listers, like Luke Bryan- And we are praying for you for your quick recovery. I can't even imagine what you've been through. And fellow Alabama native Charles Barkley. You hang in there. You gotta be strong, Lulu Strong indeed. (crowd cheering) (energetic music)
