the train he's back with Tiki Maggie had a good summer Vance went on a great vacation the football breakdown is back the film studies are back now the film studies have a new home the new home for the into this Michigan Fresno State game your impressions of the Michigan defense against the Fresno State offense which again this was the lowest point Vance Gives His Thoughts on Fresno State output for this Fresno State offense in years my man this wasn't the some chop liver offense that came to town that Michigan had to deal with well that's look cool pres said is people look at him when they from the Mountain West they can't be very good they've averaged nine to 10 wins over the past five or six years they've been a good program think about it you know they've had several first round picks and other people come out of that particular conference and that team so give them credit they came they ready to play they were not afraid to play Michigan Michigan had 10 new stars on offense several new starters on defense and the defense played extremely well we had some things that we had to clean clean up don't get me wrong but overall the OG my man wi he showed some of the same things we saw last year from lightning the cowboy to Sam rock some of the same things behind the plan Zone and he also threw a probably a little bit more man than what Jesse and Mike both did the past three years but at the end of the day I thought it was a great job we got to clean up some things execute wise and we clean those things up we gonna be outstanding on defense once again yeah you know there was a fear a concern that wink coming in and he you could tell wink got kind of ticked off about it tell you the truth people kept saying Don Brown you know he runs all this man and you know he runs all these these blitzes and he he's like listen hey man I'm not Don Brown I think he even said that at one point like wait a minute you see you know I Blitz but I I but I'm the OG of this whole thing this defense that y'all been seeing I'm kind of like started this whole thing so stop it right and he comes out in the game and it kind of looks real familiar Vance I mean we didn't see him run a whole lot of man in the game am I wrong about that now you're right I to be honest I was one of those guys that was concerned I'll be honest I was concerned that he was going to play a lot more man and zero Blitz all over the place I I had my concerns and he came in this ball game and for the most part lot of Zone uh simulated pressures like they have done for the past three years and we had a lot of successful plays off of that so he called a tremendous game I think the defensive staff did a great job so I'm excited to see going forward how he continues to build from what he did in his previous ball game yeah it was a lot of people want to know about that that zero Blitz which you'll get to a little bit later in the breakdown and we actually covered it in the film study by the way so be sure to check out the film study that will answer the question and it sticks out one of the reasons it sticks out is because they didn't do a lot of it I mean it's just they did not do a lot of zero Blitz I mean a lot of man coverage in the whole deal so just Mike when did run zero Blitz they would drop out the tackles of defensive ends to give them some body help in certain situations and one time we talked about in the last deal is that versus TCU ran to zero blits they did all crosses went for a 65 yard touchdown something he hadn't done so we hadn't done just a lot of just straight zero Blitz in the past but again it's a it's a place for all of it as a defensive coordinator you got to call what you feel comfortable and know what the kids can do and I think win is figuring that out that the college game is different from the NFL game but again I thought he called a tremendous game Texas offensive line vs Michigan defensive line and the kids played hard you know a lot is is gonna be said about the Texas offensive line coming into this game versus the Michigan defensive line how do you think those two who has the advantage in that matchup in your opinion last year because of the depth that we had we were a lot better it wouldn't even C Miss was a lot better I'm just being honest this year because of lack of deth I'm concerned about us wearing down for offense doesn't move the ball as long as we stay fresh I think that the Michigan D line is better again when I look at Texas Texas is they huge when they come out of there it might be the biggest offensive line they see the entire year those guys 325 to 355 65 66 and when you look at those guys you say man they gonna be physical they're not a physical football team they're finess football team they run they go lateral they pass a lot they run Gadget plays they don't sit down and just they not the oldfashioned big 10 I'm gonna come run the power and the counter knock you off the ball they sprinkle that in and if they can lay on you being that big they can affect you but they haven't seen guys just punch you in the straight in the mouth when my man big Grant my man Mason they start punching these guys in the mouth and knocking them back they haven't seen that in in in the in a big 12 they really Haven it now they went to Tuscaloosa last year and beat Nebraska there but you know who's not there Xavier worth is not there zavier worth ran by those guys like cones for Touchdown they don't have a Xavier worthy they don't have those guys they lost probably they four best skilled players but the offensive line is back the quarterback been in system for three years so when I look at it up front the D line has an advantage planted home against that huge offensive line yeah man it's uh you know quarter veteran quarterback as well who is going to take some shots you know all the talk about man coverage the thing that stuck out to me and I talked about this in in the postgame there were a couple of times Vance where they found holes over the middle uh playaction it was RPO RPO where they they hit them over the middle I thought about you immediately because you have talked a lot about Texas being a a heavy RPO team and I saw that play s times yeah and I was like man this this seems like this might be something for Michigan to kind of watch for uh if Fresno was able to find a hole like this you wonder if that might be something that might be uh concerning against a team like Texas I I'm concerned because shark is a I call him a gadget guy and and the Texas fans goingon to be mad they look at look at this Vance you you're a Texas X and why can't you talk about us like well you know what I talk about everybody the same I don't care who you are so you're going to see screens early you're going to see rpos early and it's going to be two or three deep shots in the first 20 place that's what he's done for the past three or four years of Texas so RPO is Big so anytime you to the side of the back to the side of the back that's where the RPO occurs out of a Zone replay or counterplay then you either got a slant or hitch that particular side so for a linebacker you say well you Zone football the man is that you have a they call it a run pass conflict he's getting a run read but yet it's a pass well my philosophy sitting out for the past seven and a half years as I study football your front gotta take care of that to the side of the back if you playing Zone that linebacker he got to sit there and hold that slant or that curl area if you do that you gonna get a sack because it's not true RPO it's more play and pass the quarterback is not right bid and taking it to the corner he's riding and driving straight by if you have questions for Van start putting them in the back in high school and I was like man I knew elen was gonna be a guy me and Vinnie went to watch him Le McNeil is with the Lions now he said Fresno seemed to find a crease behind our line linebackers should this be a concern for us this year Vinnie's paying attention Vance is On Fresno State Finding a Crease Behind Michigan's Defense. exactly what I'm talking about it it's not like it was this glaring thing but it was only a few plays but this is the kind of thing that a team like Texas seems like they could possibly exploit right you're gonna see it be that's what he does you're gonna see it against Colorado State they destroyed Colorado state with rpos they they they they have a concussion from the amount of rpos they got hit with that in the screens so you would again I'm gonna go back to this he scripts his they say his first 40 plays I don't believe it but those first 20 plays you're gonna see three maybe four rpos and three or four screens you're going to see that and if that Lineback in zone coverage steps up they gonna hit a slant for a big play because if you miss a tackle it's gonna go for six We're not gonna catch them oh it's gonna be a quick out off the RPO and I'm gonna go back to this again in his Zone football the back it to the side of the back should slow the road hold the area and be L the Run let your front destroy and stop to run with your front if you don't it's going to be holes on there that's going to be entire year and the best thing about the conference is that it's not a lot of teams that run rpos in a big 10 except for you come in USC does some Oregon does something and Washington does something yeah it's gonna be interesting uh another thing before we get to the question you know will Johnson allamerican MVP of the national championship game they sort of went after man you know F folks on on Twitter is funny he had a couple passes caught on him he's like wow they're attacking him with success and man he uh you know he he wasn't looking like will Johnson and I'm thinking man he okay they had an internal fade they caught on him he took a chance on an out and they caught it I mean I don't Vance I I I guess I didn't feel like him having a couple bars caught on them was a sign that he looked that he wasn't looking like All-American anymore I'm curious what you thought people always looking for something to break somebody down I mean will is a great player but you guess what he's gonna have some balls caught on this year that's just part of it you're gonna go out at will Johnson based on who you are and what you're trying to get accomplished he broke early trying to uh pick a outcut he missed it they caught the ball life went on it didn't hurt us okay so had a jump ball he misre it they got caught on him so what but then all of a sudden he makes a play towards the end of the game for a touchdown people should be talking more about that than they caught one or two passes on him who cares life goes on I thought he had a really good game uh Blitz well coming off the edge made some plays in a passing game I coach Charles Woodson he got beat I coach Joe Joe Hayden and jar Jenkins who were first round pick on the league they got beat had balls caught on them so will Johnson gonna have some balls caught on them let's move on so that's just one ball game what was the final score yeah had we had one more Point than them right we so will Johnson great game son keep it up I like what you're doing I like you're playing aggressively keep it up yeah this this is this kind of gets Question and Answers to the question as good as I don't know how you say your name it forgive me and I guess I could kind of get to the questions because Vance is limited on time we kind of are down to the last 28 minutes evance right now so I'll go ahead and jump into the questions uh right now as good as will is ITB Gio sorry as good as will is is he susceptible to double moves everybody is Sam every corner who in NFL and college they all are I mean so you can say Well it happens here happens that anytime you got a player as aggressive as will is of course you try to double move every you know you you look at go look at the NFL on Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday so they play with there the week right now they get beat on double mes I mean that's something that you have to work on over and over again now I should teach this and I learned this the hard way if I'm in manto man and a guy runs a slant then I'm gonna drive the shoulder I'm not going for the interception I'm driving the shoulder so if the shoulder change I now like a basketball player I can slide my feet to cut them off guys who go for interceptions they could beat on double moves so any time I was manto man that's how I taught guys to play and certain guys who once were beaten by double moves they became better players and again that goes to your philosophy as a coach I learned the hard way because as a coach I've seen guys can beat on double moves so I adjusted the more I play I coach and it benefited some kids that helped them out down the road so um we're going to save the the game plan question for the people want to know how you would game plan the against the Texas offense van so they want you to like s so we'll say that'll be the grand finale how Vance Beford would game plan to slow down this Texas offense so everybody who's asking that question will will'll keep that one for the end all right so I'll get some of your other ones so here is the question about um the the a lot of zero Blitz questions zero Bliss one time how you have a lot of questions about one play hey ask about that cover zero play uh you go to the film study what we talking the film study we told his safety his technique was poor he cannot he cannot back up he has to sit absorb the route and get the guy down the quarterback made a great play we had an unblocked guy in his face he threw the ball backing up almost a no look pass for a completion it's up for the DB to play better technique to get him down so Jesse ran some zero uh pressure down when you got close to the Red Zone couple times in open field uh uh Mike McDonald did the same thing so one play We wor about one play I'm not worri about one play said the cover the zero Blitz at that time though it was at a bad time to C what do you mean it was a bad time they were in a position he was trying to get him out of field goal range so they in position to possibly keep the change going and scor a touchdown so he was trying to make a play to get him out of field goal range so now it plays to the strength of the final score it just so happened that Fresno State made a play it's just that simple things happen as as a defensive coach you may calls I mean I go back to my first year at Louisville we had to win this game we playing ruies to win the game so I'll call a zero Blitz at our own 25 yard line they was in field goal range Charlie Strong yelling no no my D line coach long yo yo s great call Vance great call so you know what it's always after the fact people have comments good or bad so you know what he made that call DB get him down players gota go make plays Sam it's just that simple and once you clean up his technique we'll be just fine yeah it's it's interesting if you watch the film study though you see exactly what Vance is talking about they had Michigan had a guy running Scott fre the quarterback but you also had the DB on the receiver that rece the that caught the ball the DB on him was backing up as the ball was thrown and and I'm sure his coach asked him when he got to the sideline why are you backing up when the ball has to get there the quarterback has to throw the ball right now so why are you backing up there's no reason to there's no reason execution Sam execution yeah so all right Vance this is a a question complimentary football right so moose wants to know Vance are you concerned about the offensive play calling and the offensive line I feel I feel we have a better shot with orgy and a run heavy clock management offense against Texas do you agree somewhat because if I'm the University of Texas and I watch the first ball game I'm going to play Man free I'm G to Blitz you I'm going to load the box I'm going to dare you to throw the football because when the first ball game game you have not proven to me that you can actually throw the football when or comes in the game I'm going to treat that as Wildcat offense as some throw two passes one for a touchdown and one was he bounced one like we were playing basketball I thought it was Magic Johnson out there throwing a bounce pass okay so if I'm University of Texas I'm saying or comes in a game we going to zero right now my safety sitting flat footed you have him on quarterback I want you no matter where he goes you have him we're gonna play Zero coverage and make him beat me by thr over the top at worst I want to play Man free and do the same thing I mean so you got to play complimentary football in order to beat Texas you need to score at least 24 points if we can't score 24 points you're not going to beat the University of Texas because you're not it's gonna be hard press to slow those guys down to less than 24 points so you got to play complimentary football keep their offense off the field and make SAR a little ansy well they got ball control I need to score fast because we might not get it back but if he feels confident enough that your offense is not moving he could be more patient and you don't want that to happen all right let's go ahead and get to the next one next question for Vance uh you this more of an observation um Antoine Johnson said if I'm Michigan I wouldn't bite on the running plays I would watch for the constant constant passes they really don't want to run talking about Texas say s doesn't really want to run the football do you agree with that Vance again it depends on the coverage and as we talked about earlier the linebacker based on what you're doing coverage wise to the side of the back because they running the Zone replay RPO basically I would for this particular ball game I would teach them to hold for that first I'm gonna force them to run the football because again they're a big play team they want big plays either first second or third play you gonna see an RPL by Texas against Michigan because again he script in the first five plays is RPO possibly two screens and one shot that's what he does that's what he's done for the last three years you can see the same thing in this ball game all right back to the questions so this is an interesting one Aaron Taylor said was it smart to rotate the backup quarters Corners against the ones or was it stupid you know what I that's what they they trying to build depth they felt like they were I don't know maybe good enough to win the ball game I have no idea what their thought process was but they're building depth for the long term last year they had depth they rotate guys in there on to said work so right now you got a new staff you got players that they getting familiar with they're trying to put them all in live situations for the Long Haul see one game Fresno State game that's only one game You're Building trying to win the conference and get into that 12-man playoff that that's the goal so in order to do that you have to play with de and for the most part those young people went in there and they did a solid job they really did and so I understand the thought process is something that for myself I never had the opportunity to do because I didn't have those kind of players on my second team that I felt confident enough to play Early in the ball game so no I I have no issues with what they did well see I I think the the sequence that he's talking about was early in the fourth quarter and it wasn't just the backup Corners um because I remember looking down at the field and the only starters that I remember I have to look at really look at the tape but what stuck out to me is the only starters at a glance that I recognized on the field were Jon baram at linebacker and Mason Graham at defensive tackle the rest of the guys look like they were all backups look like they had nine backups on the field everybody in secondary look like a backup but you got to understand the circumstances at the time so through three quarters they had held them to one of nine on third down 28 yards rushing and they were like they were like I I can't remember how like a 100 yards passing in three quarters and Three Points so I mean they're probably feeling like at that point we can we can try some thing we can try some more people out right and they had played most of those backups with the starters to that point they probably feel like okay we can play them together now of course Fresno State went down the field and they ran those starters back in the game okay but but yeah I mean trying to get in into the head of the coaches I think circumstances matter and I think all those things probably played into the thought process it probably did like I said I wasn't not being at the game and seeing what was going on and watching on television and again they probably did think they had the game in control and for me personally watching the game I didn't think we had the game in in control because our offense was struggling and we you know it's a lot of three plays and out in a series so our defense was out there a lot and to me what I was thinking they trying to build depth for the Long Hall that was my thought process when I saw those guys in the game that too I mean that too and and feeling like we can we can build some depth here too so you put them in a crucial part of the game they play well mixed in first second third quarter let's get them out there and go play ball because we're gonna need that later on in order to beat Texas you gonna need those guys to be able to play important minutes if you gotta play my man Grant and Mason the whole game you're gonna be in trouble because when you got 335 pounds leaning on you and then they double team you now you got 670 lbs leing on you that flat wears you out and so you going to need those guys to give us you know at least 15 snaps away from your starters if not then it's gonna be a long day at the office absolutely all right back to the questions for Vance we got about 15 minutes so you better get them in now while you can while you got my man Vance in here so Vance this one from Nala who always asks great questions what's your initial analysis of our linebacker group baram baram looked like a Manchild a beast the way he was coming on those blitzes I would be scared to death what did you think of number one out there Vance i g tell you what he a linebacker I thought he was a defensive vend what he I mean he was flat getting after it I mean I think Texas could have a problem with him I really do you I think overall when it came to stopping the run or to blissing they did a great job and I want to go back now to let's talk about the RPO situation they do have a run pass option but again you're going to have to find a way to clean it up because you're gonna see that a bunch in this ball game whatever it is if you go to a different coverage you got to figure out if you're gonna go to manto man if you instead of playing quarters you play quarter quarter half or or you play cover two you g to make do something different to take away certain plays but overall I thought the linebackers blissing sto and run I did a tremendous job all right Vance on on to the next one all right uh here's one I don't know if you know the answer to this Vance Vance was that Wink's call or the DB coach's call for rotating the DBS like that you know you talk about that as a defensive staff and and the defensive coordinator makes that final decision so you during the week so this is our plan this how we want to rotate guys we going to put it in you don't fully substitute anybody without the approval of the defensive coordinator so at the end of the day I'm pretty certain they discussed it and they said coach can I get these guys in right now wink probably say yeah go ahead and put them in so I think at the end of the day it's Wink's decision okay on to the next question as we move down the list here's one from uh Misty miles thoughts on Jer Hills first start look good opposite will Johnson and Misty's opinion what did you think you go back to the film study is one time and we had a Zone Bliss on the cover too he came up and he put the hammer down but he forgot to put the screws on him by wrapping him up but I thought he had an excellent game Sam I mean he showed signs of of being you know the good uh long range anonto Batman and Robin M said with Will Johnson so I think he gonna see a lot of good things from him I like his physicality I think that's important for especially for a guy playing to the boundary side of the field so overall I think the secondary in general I thought did some really good things I'm excited to see them continue to go I think certain things technique wise needs to be improved and I think we do that long for the long season we should be okay all right on to the next one Kobe Nichols wants to come where you having your Austin Texas stake after the Michigan Victory this weekend van hey I'm gonna still be in Colorado I'm headed down to Houston at the end of the month to see my dad and my family but now I'll be right here at home so you know what hey I I got to bring this up last year Sam I had people hit me up on Twitter D ask me this question do you know what school I went to I'm like well do you know because I understand that so after this game I'm gonna be happy and sad because a team one team I love is gonna win one team I love gonna lose the game so understand that's just how simple I am with it with you and every year say when you ask me well at the end of the game predict the game I'm do the same thing now I'm not going to change who I am and who I pick okay wait so so Texas people giving you giving you some some smoke for doing for doing the Michigan show for I got people how come you don't do a show for Texas well guess what when I first when they first ran me out of Austin Texas I reached out to a couple people have podcast Sam they didn't return my phone call they didn't even return my phone call so I'm I'm on a uh uh a uh a group text with guys I play with it count myself as a total 20 of us they just sit back and laugh and say man them people just stupid yes they are stupid for asking me stupid questions I know what school I want to I know who I pull for so when people ask me question like that it don't fase me at all because the right people exactly know how I feel they just sit back and laugh yeah I'm really stupid people I say yeah I know that's why I ask I answer their questions stupidly so I'm gonna beat me like I tell you all the time Sam they can't fire me anymore I'm on Social Security baby I'm good I hear that hey man you you should have keys to the city down there SAR should be having you in there helping them out they want they want no parts of me they want me and Austin like I had one guy he has he has about three podcast and he asked me why why you do things for Michigan because you guys in Texas haven't asked me to do anything for you see Michigan reached out to me I played the Texas coach of Texas nobody ever reaches out to me I just coach of Michigan I got former players I got you I got people reaching out to me hey Vance can you do this Vance can you do that my only Al a mo n they hadn't reached out to me one bit except ask me you know what school you went to now I guess I went to P you in Austin Texas I have no idea hey we love hey V hey man you our man you our guy I know that's your Mo but you our guy man we claiming I app we claiming you all right let's move on back to the uh to the deal here hey this is a uh getting to the Texas question because we gonna close things out with you scouting giving us the uh the game plan against Texas uh Southwest Lions 26 wants to know Advance how well does the Texas quarterback do against blitzes and is he better throw and rolling out to the right or the left this qub back has great touch he is really good quarterback now he has decent straight line speed his lateral movement is not great so if you ever watch Texas they don't do a whole lot of roll outs that's not what they do now they might do some in our game just to see can we contain because we lost container about three times in this last ball game but he is great in pocket he sees the blitz coming now they've had problems over the past couple years the offensive line and picking up blitzes now cuz we do a great job disguising W called blisses recover two he called withover six it like we bringing five or six we're only bringing four because of that we can cause some confusion we can make this quarterback throw us the ball in this ball game and again I me personally I don't think our offensive line handles movement great University of Texas offensive line and we do enough things I think we can get home in that in in the ball game all right uh uh this is a very specific question uh can can cloud coverage work against Texas well when you Cloud covers I mean you can run cover six is rolling to the boundary we can call cover two where we playing to deep to Cloud so we GNA do some of those things to offset some things and we gonna probably run some man some cover three some cover four wi is gonna mix it up as they go into the game plan the first thing you say what do we have to take away and you gotta look at Texas new tight end they tight end I think was a third round pick two fresh receivers one was a first round pick last year one was an early second round pick now Isaiah bar a transfer from Alabama he the real deal I mean he the real de he had 700 yards in reception for Alabama last year so we want to know where he is to me if I was G to roll up on somebody's like to his side I might play some Cloud but he hadn't shown he's that kind of guy yet but we was game five I might do that but no we gonna play some quarter quarter half which is rolling to the bound we're gonna play some two deep long we going to mix it up we're gonna play some quarters and we gonna Blitz them so all of us good but you got to mix it up at the right time gotcha all righty someone wanted to know I guess we didn't do this but what was your what was your Kobe Nichols wanted to know what was your defensive grade for Michigan versus Fresno State and if they play the exact same style does this defense beat the Texas offense uh M grade versus Fresno State was a B+ it's a B+ because of execution sometimes letting the ball get outside some technique things that we can clean up and if we clean up the little details the rpos uh they contain is good enough to be Texas but I gotta add something to it the offense cannot be three plays and out and give Texas too many opportunities to attack the defense so it's got to be a team win we got to be able to have some ball control to keep the defense fresh so they can go out and play hard and fast all right so Vance plenty of questions about game plan so let's go ahead I want to give you some t a chance to kind of get in the lab and kind of lay it out so game plan them for me Vance you you watched Texas and you you've been able to get in in SAR say you know SAR I've heard you talk about B for you know how he is you know he he's a finesse dude right you know what what did you say I you said he like to video games or something me video football my daddy say video football like playing video game he he is a guy is like everything is the disguise he's motioning his way he he's trading guys he he runs a screen where he give PLA and pass his way and throwing the screen back here so everything is of video football God guys on these video games I'm going on this play I got this play right here and so the biggest thing for us Sam is just gonna be execution if we execute and read our keys right we're g to be a to tackle on the open field we've been a great tackling football team for the past three years we tackle well in open field you got a chance to win a football game but you got to Bliss this guy you gotta make the quarterback throw off Rhythm you gotta make S believe that I'm coming but yet I'm playing I'm bringing four I'm playing cover two or playing quarter quarter a half behind it keep the quarterback off balance keep the offensive line off balance by what we do not Shing who to block that's hit the quarterback a few times so again when keep doing what you're doing keep pressing just like you pressuring pick and choose your times the next thing is with the RPO we got to do a great job of taking away the RPO like I say in the first five plays you're gonna see an RPO that's what he does it's part of his script first five plays you're going to see two screens then you're going to see a shot over the top that's what you're going to do going back to last year they go and play Alabama and Tuscaloosa they throw over the top to James Worthy which actually is shocked Alabama and that's how they win the ball game we cannot give up big plays because our offense is not a kind of offense that will come back from that so we got to understand that so we eliminate the big plays on defense make them Drive the field you got a chance to win this ball game and we got to score at least 24 points we don't score 24 at least 24 points we are not beating Texas yeah you know people people are stuck on this zero Blitz no zero Blitz please can you I mean is is that like no absolutely off limits you can't zero Blitz Texas ever Sam I zero Blitz everybody every defensive coordinator I know zero Blitz that's that's part of who you are you picking shoes and again you gonna get more positive plays out of zero Blitz than one negative play people look a negative play okay let's go back to last year how often did did uh uh Jesse zero Blitz he did go back to two years ago we zero Blitz we got backed up crucial third down situations but his zero Blitz he would drop a def defensive ends or he drop the defensive tackles against TCU in the playoff he zero Blitz and went for a touchdown because he got away from who he was now you zero Bliss are you gonna drop guys out or not that helps out got the secondary give more confidence so it's different ways to do it so we gotta do what he does and what he believes in and the fans gotta sit back and and bear with it because that's who he is he's GNA he didn't play a lot of man in this ball game now play a lot of Zone and Zone pressures he play a lot of he played a lot more two deep but two robber as I was calling than I thought he would so I'm not worried about one play Let's clean up the safey technique and get the guy down then everybody's happy not talking about one play if everybody worried about one play then saying we okay right I mean he called a great game yeah especially if you go and look at why that one play didn't work yeah I mean go to the film study people go to the film study we broke it down and we we just fine let's just move on that's not liveing one play yeah yeah folks you gotta check it out gotta check it out why it didn't work it was totally on technique it was not a bad that was not a bad call no nothing wrong with that call that was not a bad call so at any rate we got to let van scoot uh people don't want to let they don't want me to let you get away without giving a prediction B they they they want to know will this game one person said will this game be one in the trenches or the secondary and then they want you to give a prediction on the game for Texas they're gonna attack our secondary it's going to be one in the back end if we hold up in the back end we we should win the ball game game and you got to eliminate big plays just going off the first game I watched the entire Texas game even though they played Colorado State and Colorado state was bad I live I'm I'm seven miles from Colorado State just right down the road uh Fresno State in my opinion a lot better team than than Colorado State but our offense they have to improve and they have to improve tremendously and right now we can't score 24 points we would not win so right now if I had to give a prediction I would say live with the fans is that Texas 27 Michigan 17 because the offense they haven't shown me anything right now and you can't expect for our defense to play the same as they did versus Fresno State you playing a veteran quarterback with a veteran offensive line Texas receivers do drop the ball but the one thing they can do now they can run and if we walk and press these guys and get them foot race like we did on that one play they gon to have some cheap t Downs which we really can't afford to give up because we haven't shown the ability to come back and beat people from behind so you know say I'm gonna be honest now I have been that's why I'm last hey man listen that's why we love you Vance we Not Gon we not gonna ask you questions like hey do do you know where you are Vance do do you know
