But Figueroa appears to reach for his waistband, and that's when the officer opens fire, firing around ten shots. >> The police officer, identified as Joshua Rodriguez, led into a cruiser as the investigation began. Get in the car. >> No phone calls. This is it. >> Right here. >> The state Attorney's office now determining his decision to open fire was justified. They have closed out the case. >> Figueroa was shot a total of four times, including in the chest and in the lower back. >> Despite that, he was transfer . He was transported rather to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, where he did survive. >> He is now facing several charges, including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
