hello Chicago it's Dr simbba EIG the city pH commissioner we have had three cases of West Nile Virus um it is a mosquito born infection and so we want folks to know what to do to protect themselves and that is staying away from mosquitoes um it is important that if you have standing water um around your home please get rid of the standing water uh it is also safe to use insect repellent any type of insect repellent is fine uh we want you to also remember to wear long sleeve clothing long pants socks when you're outdoors and also if you can stay indoors when mosquitoes are most active that is during Dusk and Dawn uh again the best way to protect yourself from West Nile Virus is to protect yourself from mosquitoes be safe everyone
