CFTV: Rocco Becht breaks down win over North Dakota

came out aggressive that's what we wanted to do um there was It was kind of weird game uh you know they were on the field for a while we were standing for a while and so um it's kind of just weird to get into a Groove at that moment so um you know there's some drives that we probably want back but you know we left everything out there and I I do think that there's some precision and detail that we do need to clean up for next week talk us through that first play yeah I I know I had Jaylen on the post and as long as that safety just gave me enough time to uh you know Let it Loose and put a ball out there for him I was going to do it have you seen uh replay of how he actually caught it yeah he got caught on the dude's back that was crazy is that about the most electric start to a season two plays you could have drawn up yeah you know it was kind of remind me of Baylor a little bit from last year when we kind of just scored you know with three plays against him but this at home you know you can't beat that what was it like to be able to have the confidence with the coach and St to have two deep shots called on the first yeah I mean that's that's coach Mouse for you so that's what he brings to the table he's aggressive he's unique um and we're we're going to keep doing that you know all season like having that QB sneak touchdown ling up under Center yeah you know we had a couple of those last year um I trust my offensive line we got dudes up front so I'm just going behind you know I can really pick my poison up there so um you know I knew we were going to get that in just because of the guys we have up front how was the the Rhythm between you and mouse I know obviously you weren't talking him on the radio but what in terms of the play call you to feel everything in Rhythm yeah I was comfortable with everything today um if and if I wasn't he's open for me to talk but um I felt like we did have a good communication style today and you know just leaning on into next week hopefully improving everything with that and and you probably have talked about this I mean the first series seems like a video game I mean I thought you were on man in it yeah it did it did but I also do think that a boo hurdle was more like a you know Madden you know video game type play so that was pretty cool yeah did you feel in Rhythm I mean especially early I did I did especially early and then like I said earlier um just them being on the field for so long um us being sitting down uh just not never really kind of getting into a Groove uh at some points we did uh but it was kind of a weird game just in that on that end so uh just honing in getting back in on Tuesday and Wednesday with good practices and getting ready for you know our next game L of that that 12 minute drive does that take you guys out of I guess a Groove to your point like does that just discombobulate yeah I think I think it does um I feel like that would you know to any team but you know um we just got to keep getting better and be prepared whenever uh just sudden changes that's what Coach Campbell always says so what did you do for that whole Drive did you did you to do or did you end up just waiting yeah I was on the iPad a little bit um staying hydrated uh but just getting up staying loose throwing the ball around and you know just stretching having the radio and the helmet how was that whole thing like for the first game with it obviously there's tips and reminders that coach Waters tells me you know before each play which is huge for me um you know if we do have time and I see something uh that's wrong or on a check and we have time he'll let me know in the helmet um and so that's what that's a good part about it um and I'm excited for that you know that new play style that we have not being able to watch the film yet there any areas you feel like you want to improve before next week yeah I feel like there's some you know throws with accuracy wise that I want back and just knowing where when it's man and when you know where my players are where my you know stars are just giving them the ball and letting them you know play and there's a couple throws I probably you know should have hit those guys but you know a win's a win uh we're going to celebrate this for you know another hour and then you know move on the first throw to jayen was that one of those game passes you talked about cuz they were blanketed and somehow they came down there yeah yeah I was what I told Jaylen before that play was if he got a step on that corner and that safety he was slow to go I was going to let it lose and go go put him a ball out there for him so that's what happened is that like before the game
