Andy Robertson and Lawrence Shankland speak after Scotland's final game before UEFA EURO 2024

thanks for that m i Andy Robertson Lauren Shin join me um right first of all let's get tonight out the way what was uh what was your overall thoughts to that one Andy we've all came through it that's the most important thing I think the manager important thing of course it is at this time it's so hard I can't tell you how hard it is you've got something so so big so close now and it's then you have to play a game to prepare for it so I thought the lads were really good um you know all things considered and like it say everyone's came through it absolutely fine we're all fit and healthy and now we board that plane on Sund they full of excitement um full of dreams and um you know let's go for it third goal for Scotland as well how did that feel that was good um I was nice to go understate it come on that's me that's me selling it um no of course it's it's great um was in the Box most the night just try to find a bit of space there was a couple of good balls in the first half I should have maybe got across the defender but I knew staying at the back was a good idea and they would find me eventually so thankful enough it's weird isn't it cuz I feel as if we've been talking about this for such a long time and now that's it it's time it's time it's almost time to board that plane what's going through your mind Andy excitement um a lot of emotion um of course it is you know we're going we're going there to you know achieve you know our lifelong dreams that's what we're going there for and it's now around the corner we've got the two friendlies out the way and uh now it's real tomorrow's a day off and um Sunday we go to Germany so like you say because we qualified so early and so quick get feels as if it's been so long we've been talking about it now it's on the horizon so the T Army can get excited we can get excited all our families can and um you know it's such an exciting time to be Scottish and we feel it now and you know I'm glad today's out the way like it say with no injuries and I thought we were good for 60 65 minutes and then took her foot off the gas a little bit but all things considered a good exercise for us and like say now roll on you know next Friday is it kind of get to that feeling just the last point for you Lawrence that you're trying your hardest to I don't know in the back your mind thinking this is I need to just make sure I'm focused on everything to get a try and get a a start on Friday we know we've got a strong Squad so the competition is really strong um this week's just about getting minutes back the legs for everybody and H opportunities have been there for people to play so it's been good everybody's got a lot of minutes and as you said we love to win the game right way but we didn't lose it everybody came through fit and everybody's buzzing so we can look for to I think it's important the score line on Friday rather than tonight boys well done thanks very much for chat to us all right best of luck [Music]
