Sound Puget Sound energy says Pierce county and Thurston County saw major Pe of the power outages today. The rain season just started and already crews with Puget Sound Energy are responding to power outages. Our crews have definitely been working nonstop over the past several days in Bonney Lake. Limbs toppled over, power lines cutting off the electricity in some neighborhoods. That's something that you'll see a little more in rainstorms, especially like this, whenever it's a little windy and the rain weighing down the branches. Power has been restored in most neighborhoods throughout Pierce County, but with rain in the forecast, PSC crews are standing by, ready for anything as they prepare for the next weather event. Officials are also encouraging people to prepare by putting together an emergency kit for inside their home and car. Also, make sure your cell phone is charged ahead of time just in case the power goes out. You want to make sure that phone is able to, you know, go to the psc.com/outage map or even access my app where you can also look at the outage map and maybe get an ETR if our crews have already got that at that time, about 1500 customers in Bonney Lake were impacted by those power outages this morning.
