Trying NEW Foods At EPCOT & Remembering 9/11 | Disney World 2024

good morning everyone we got a special one for you today we're going to do a walk around not sure what we're doing today really but we're going to hang out with you guys we're going to hang out at Epcot look around check out some of the sites we noticed they have the flag at half mass today in honor of 911 that was a sad day I I remember it like it was yesterday let us know down in the comments what were you doing what do you remember when 9/11 happened I remember I was actually uh sleeping I was sleeping and uh my brother I was actually staying the night at my mom's house at the time my brother came in and woke me up he was still living with Mom and uh came in and said someone just hit the World Trade Center we thought it was an accident then as we all know minutes later plane hits the other one couldn't believe it that was that was crazy that was one crazy day so let us know down in the comments what do you remember what were you doing when that happened an absolute gorgeous day today I got my Joffrey's coffee it's a little dark right here we're standing directly underneath spaceship earth I think we're going to ride living with the land right yeah so that's one of our favorite things to do here it's a it's a really cool ride we're going to take you along with us we've filmed on this before but I love it well we've gotten a little deeper into the park here see the uh monre rail track there got the giant golf ball as I like to call it spaceship earth I feel like Epcot has become my favorite park down here it feels like a more adult Park but they have added things for kids as well but they have the world showcase where you can walk around do a bunch of food tastings from around the world not sure if we're going to do a lot of that today we will be back though uh but it's nice we actually found a nice little Breezeway right here yeah yeah and it's not Sunny Direct in my face right so obviously I mean our favorite Park is probably Magic Kingdom but Epcot has to be a very very close second it's just the the music everything kind of gets you involved here kind of immerses you into this futuristic land this joffre's coffee guys it is amazing you ever come down here you have got to try it it's my favorite coffee as most of you know well I think the other my it is delicious it gets you in the mood strong but not too not crazy strong you know it's not like I don't know I don't know it's it's strong but not bitter right it's not like bitter strong nice strong medium roast I don't know have I sold you yet I love Joffrey's coffee some people compare it to Starbucks I don't think it tastes like Starbucks at all um I do like Starbucks though I'm a big fan of Starbucks uh haven't had any Starbucks on this trip so we are going to be moving uh after today we got another place we're going to where we are going to uh they actually have a Starbucks and it's like at a discounted price they have free coffee too and if it's free I'm going to take the free stuff but I may go with a Starbucks I don't know one day or something but I me you can't beat this guys The View here got the monre rail back here the fcod ball and I'll tell you what if You' never been here you may want to come here at night because it's all lit up they do like a show on the big ball here spaceship earth and they do a firework show along the lake what's your favorite part I mean okay minus minus Magic Kingdom Epcot yeah I think that's an easy note right yeah um good air conditioning everywhere yeah it's everywhere it's awesome and where we're going the land it's air conditioning all throughout maybe that's what I like about the land or the uh living with the land ride is that the AC oh yeah the bees guys the bees down here are enormous they're like this big they're like dinosaur bees but yeah the land Pavilion if you if you come in Epcot you want to do anything that we're doing here I'll try and give you some direction yeah there he is there's the the tanabe but yeah we were kind of waiting around for a second see if we saw the Montreal kind talk about our favorite Parks I I feel like if if I had to go and order it would be Magic Kingdom Epcot Hollywood Studios Animal Kingdom I love them each for different things yeah they're different in their own ways right yeah but so I don't know EP it's like whatever my my favorite Park is whatever one we are at for the day yeah exactly so we're making our way up to the land uh we actually have a FastPass for living with the land that we actually have to use so maybe we'll see them on rail later uh actually I know we will I think comes through every like 10 minutes so Jessica is loading up another Fastpass for us here don't know how long we're going to be here but we're going to use as many as we can also if you see a line this long and living with the land you know it's a busy day in all right we're coming up on the big green house I was going to film the beginning part of the ride but it's so dark it's hard to see anything I think they're actually doing some work over here saw some people over here doing stuff Welcome to our living laboratory where scientist from Department of are exploring waying wax hello that's pretty cool I like to do some of that pineapple here trops are diversity of plants Jasmine edible flowers many of May coconut and guava okay so that sign right here it says guava and it's showing you like which one of the boots they use this ingredient from for the Food and Wine Festival which is pretty cool so you'll see that throughout the throughout the ride where uh what ingredients they're using in different things throughout the Food and Wine Festival there's a lot of tilapia buddy F Hy bass here pretty looking fish right there andl for nearly of our Global Food consumption learning how to increase the yields of these staples is an important goal of research around the world some passion fruit here nice I want to build this in a backyard of mine someday with the ride and all got some rice some sorum these plants are definitely on their way up growing techniques like these fertilizer and pesticides sugar ourant trees every when we were here in the spring how they were huge yeah and I was trying to figure out what was different from then to now little babies of parsley here our serving that in France for some dish the narrator said they produce 27 thou is it 27,000 heads of lettuce a year a year just in this little uh little area oh here we got another food and wine which Food and Wine Festival is going on right now by the way so we might try some of these by Nature po these fruit and vegetable trees by growing these ground plants we can increase yields and better control diseases these crops taste as good as they look in fact we serve more than 15 Tons of produce from our green houses and restaurants here at the land every year micro Greens in the India Pavilion yeah so it tells you what Pavilion at Epcot they serve what they're getting here from the giant Greenhouse here as I call it the future of Agriculture may include innovative ideas like this vertical Growing System plants grown in this way use a fraction of the space required by traditional growing methods that saves water and increases production the aquaponic system on your left combines Hydroponics with aquaculture the fish provide a natural source of fer for the PLS and the plants help keep the water clean for the fish it's another great way to produce more while using less absolutely love that ride living with the land is one of my favorite rides in all the parks I just love going through the greenhouse and and all the history of of how everything has something has given vegetation to another that provides to another that just has some use in the world living off the land I I I just really like that sain's an awesome ride didn't want to film that one but having fun so far taking a little break here what is that you wanted to try I don't remember what it's called it's a something from food and wine food and wine it's like a dessert or something but yeah we got to probably going to try a few snacks as we go along today so we are moving out of the land we're heading toward World Showcase going try a couple snacks our next Fastpass is actually Ratatouille the ratatouille ride I love that right I know it gets kind of mixed reviews but hey you're in air conditioning and uh anything with air conditioning I love in this park all right so here's what we got just got the lemon uh cake poppy seed cake lemon poppy seed cake with lemon icing instead lemon icing and then you got something else the the red wine brazed short rib looks amazing you want to try this I might try what is this I'm pot yeah it's like mashed potatoes said palenta though palenta okay nice I'm more Curious for this one [Music] yeah a PO yeah nice all right here we go guys the short rib palenta and the carrot on a rail that is delicious did you like that I like the penta the penta yeah it's a the short rib the the red wine sauce it's pretty strong it's pretty strong but I like it all right well we just got off of Ratatouille absolutely love that ride it is fantastic ice cold in there that may be the best air conditioning in any Disney park yes it is very hot out here guys we're kind of sitting in the shade for a minute getting some H2O hydrating got a liquid IV just finished off a Power Aid zero so getting the electric electrolytes back got to say we're having a good time we took the boat from Canada over to Morocco which was a very quick walk from Morocco to the French Pavilion where Ratatouille is really awesome ride you ever come to Epcot um it would have been a maybe not as good waiting an hour but we had the lightning light we had the Fastpass we waited like 5 minutes although I would have liked to have stayed in there a little longer because like I said it was it was like a refrigerator in there it was great so we are over here at Yorkshire fish and chips one of our favorites we haven't had it in a while no it's been a while yeah it's over here in the UK Pavilion these are absolutely delicious and they are enormous I'm about to show you guys what we got here uh also they had sweet tea which is crazy cuz they don't usually have sweet tea I wonder if that's cuz it's a English thing maybe because of the tea they have sweetened and unsweetened show you the food here I'll show them okay I'm just uh enjoying the shade here for a second look at how big that is so it's just one piece I know I thought there was two there used okay you used to get two pieces but they were about yeah that's about what you got I guess now it's just one piece yeah Jess's got her ketchup got plenty of water also they give you water for free so don't worry about that just make sure they give you the cup water don't don't pay for the Dan danani but they got the uh Ken's tartar sauce which I like check out this scavenger waiting around for some fries or some [Music] fish all right guys getting ready to head out here I just wanted to show the flag at half mass and remember it's of 911 right next to the epcot's spaceship earth never forget guys never forget wanted to show you guys why we are getting out of Dodge cuz this storm is rolling in it's going to be a big one guys most likely a really big one really windy you can always tell when the temperature drops a lot it's about to pour in Orlando Florida heing a FR a lot of them all right guys we are back at the resort what a fun time at Epcot we had a you going to say something nothing we had a little bit of rain um it wasn't too bad it was enough to bring out the ponchos but we had a good time I got to ride Guardians of the Galaxy Jess did not I did not so you want to tell them why I didn't want to get sick so I have ridden it before and it made me really nauseous and I I was gonna take a pill like a a Dramamine um but then like my anxiety just kept going throughout the day and I was just like I ra rather not risk it and be sick so I just chose to not ride it and they were able to refund me for my thing because I had to purchase the the lanes for both of us um so he was able to ride it and then I got a refund for it which was cool so yeah yeah uh it's a really fun ride but I was I was kind of glad she did that because I rode in the back row and you're like out of your seat the entire time like it whips you around it kind of the seats kind of spin on the roller coaster she has ridden it before and she was like nauseous for like an hour afterwards but yeah she was going to try it again but kind of felt best not to also yeah we did show the fish and chips right yeah yeah we had the fish and chips it was a good walk around Epcot it was good I liked as soon as you walked in they had the the flag at half St half Mass you know for 911 you know it's like I told everybody I don't know if you heard but I everybody's told everybody in the comments to say where you were or how you found out or things like that you know and I told my story you know what was your story where were you at I was in high school still oh yeah um so I don't even remember what class I was in I just remember that it was in the morning obviously and every class after that every teacher had one of those carts with the TVs they rolled in um and we were just watching footage of it all day long and there were some teachers there that had like family in New York and stuff it it was it was crazy it was nuts it really was but guys we had a fun time taking you with us oh yeah we had the lemon cake the lemon poppy seed cake it was good that was delicious the uh roast beef or the brazed beef that was really good too the Meat part was good the meat the palenta was good if it was just those two things it would be really good yeah the the sauce the wine sauce was a little strong but I still liked it but anyway guys we're just going to chill for the rest of
