the 49th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival kicks off its opening day with a celebration of one of Canada's most iconic bands I think it's really cool that that Mike was able to tell the story cuz he had Insight that other people wouldn't have the remaining members of The Tragically Hip open tip with an emotional new documentary just brilliant The Tragically Hip no dress rehearsal is a four-part doc beautifully directed by gour Downey's brother Mike and he tells me that he's full of gratitude for the experience our I just have so much gratitude uh for my brother and for the band and for them to trust me with this story uh so important so many Canadians um so yeah I um it's kind of overwhelming to be honest with you and Johnny tells us even the biggest fans will learn something new I think that people know the hip the music they don't necessarily know us apart from Gord Downey as individuals and I think that that's really cool yeah I thought I knew you I thought I knew the band and then realiz there's so much more to know I thought I knew the band too I learned I there were things that I had learned and I'd forgotten about and uh so it was really cool to watch it this is a musty on an iconic band like the video then hit the button or better yet drop us a comment then check out our latest videos here and don't forget to subscribe by hitting the button here for more celebrity interviews and entertainment news
