Why Google Drive wasn't cutting it. yo what is up guys it is cphd back with another video and today we're going to be taking a look at a much more professional and elegant method for your next client photo delivery instead of using something like Google Drive now speaking from personal experience I use Google Drive a lot for the distribution of my own photos whenever I was first getting started out and I just always felt that it was lacking and just unsatisfied with it as a whole the photo previews are small low resolution cropped which just kills me because like you know you can't really see the whole picture um and it just has this generic Drive look to it that just doesn't scream you know professionalism in my opinion and don't even get me started on the mobile experience which just amplifies it even more but the thing that I had to understand was that that's not necessarily what Google Drive is designed for anyways it's not meant to Showcase photographers work in the professional fashion or look that we would necessarily like it to and that's okay and another big thing for me was I really didn't want to come off as an amateur to my clients even when starting out like I want to be able to give them the best possible surface from beginning to end and I just felt like this was one of those last barriers in the road that I needed to go around or get over to really feel truly confident in myself as a photographer in the work that I'm putting out and I couldn't help but to think that a lot of new people out there are probably going through the same thing that that I went through just to find another alternative option besides Google Drive and Dropbox um so yes today I'm here to show you that better way and yes it's free to get started with and that's Studio manager but like I said this one will just be based on the client photo gallery showing yall a little bit of the process and plan that I have going on and uh yeah just showing some other cool features as well on the platform so let's jump right into it starting off with the price they do have Price. the free plan like I mentioned before I personally went with the basic because a it gets rid of the watermark I personally don't want that on my photos and B just being that I personally feel like 10 gigs is like plenty of storage for me personally way that I intend to use this platform is just by simply cycling out older galleries with new ones as the time comes and if storage fills up because realistically the only gallery that would be sitting on here permanently would be like my portfolio Gallery with all my you know pictures that I want to showcase to represent myself and you know to get future clients possibly jumping into the Site interface & Demonstration. dashboard this is what you guys will be seeing you got all the products laid out some recent collections tells you how many photos are in each one the downloads likes if your client decides to leave any um notifications this is one of my favorite features because it allows you to see specifically who downloaded your photo and my main thing is guessing I don't like guessing if the clients got the photo or if they downloaded one photo instead of the whole album so just having this notification bar over here makes things um a lot more easier and I can feel comfortable down the line knowing that they got their photos and that I can you know delete them off the platform but yeah so we're just going to go ahead and jump straight into the client Gallery obviously you guys won't have anything in here whenever starting offl but it's super easy to get your photos up on the platform and ready to be shared with your client you would simply just want to go to new collection and give your collection a name pick simply the date at which your event was on and then I just leave it on default settings uh and yeah there's also some Advanced options you can tag your collection you can Auto expire it um email registration all this stuff is pretty self-explanatory but once you have that done this is basically what it'll look like whenever all of your photos have been uploaded uh you can simply just drag and drop the order that you would like them to go in and you know that's super easy and convenient you can also change the cover photo for the entire album and the focus Point as well which is pretty dope so right now I just kind of have it set on joselyn's leg and it just it's all part of the framing you kind of got to mess around and play with it because the preview on the mobile device and the actual desk top will look a little bit different um and that's just where I thought it looked best in my opinion so and then as you guys can see underneath we have a lot of different styles and frames that you can pick from and you can also change some of the things like the font and all that stuff which is pretty cool um just really want to play around and have fun with it until you get something that you personally like but all this customization is here now because this is already a finished gallery and has been shared uh the preview button isn't here but there is a view button in the bottom left corner of the screen that basically acts as the same thing to where you can open your gallery and see your cover photo with the title the date um the name obviously mine and just to see all of your photos in the order that you put them in um with the different styles font theme color uh that you chose just to see if this is something that you want to stick with but now speaking of sharing once Sharing/Publishing. you have your photos in the order that you would like them to be in you know you have all your design settings squared away and everything looks presentable to the way that you would like it you can simply press this share button right next to the view and then there's a few options you can get a QR code get a direct link and share by email me personally I just do the direct link and then it just brings up your download pin so you can send it along to your clients and uh they'll be able to get their photos which is pretty dope um I usually just copy this and send it straight to their phones but you can also as you guys just have seen share by email and this is pretty cool because it's literally just built right into the interface just type hi you can include the download pin um and then I believe there are some themes that you can also pick from as well I usually just go with the classic uh can't go wrong with that and just simply send an invite to whoever you want to send it to which is pretty dope so in a nutshell that is a Buy prints from gallery & Final thoughts! quick little walk through of the platform and everything that you really need to know about it as far as just to get it up and running it was pretty damn quick and easy um I figured it out in like half an hour or so um and like I said the results honestly speak for itself but just to send it all off you have your amazing client Gallery with all your beautiful photos laid out exactly how you would want them to be in a high resolution as well very important not cropped and the icing on top of the cake for me personally is going to be the fact that you can buy photos straight from the gallery clients are able just to Simply go through pick from all these different options and buy straight from the website take out the middleman I don't got to go print do anything like that and then you get to make commission on top of it as well these are just some base prices that have been set by the platform but you can go in and adjust them based on uh however you see fits I know have the confidence to say that I truly providing the best possible experience with what I
