fires not in time doesn't go he makes the play tagging and scoring is Rally and now a lead for Seattle going back for Dugo it's over his head one run scores when he he's coming home he'll score position line Fair ball they are Relentless and the 3-2 track wall tied game Mullins to left Verdugo started in and the Orioles are going to win it one swing and a little overand right center field out for a base hit that's going to bring in R Snider base hit up the middle long is in here comes AO he will score it gets away going up to Second it's Hayes Here Comes roas he's Sav back and that one's driven to left field and deep a run will score a tou The Game and Young sends one in the left field here comes the throw home he save hoping for another Rangers walk-off and that is pounded deep out to left 11 that's mindboggling that he's been allowed to even get to that many blown saves and if you are a Yankee fan you have to be irate over the situ this is a World Series or bust 2024 and I don't I really don't have any confidence in this team winning a World Series with this man Kay Holmes in the ninth inning you've got to be able to slam the door on the Texas Rangers if you can't why do I think you can slam the door on the Baltimore Orioles or the Cleveland guardians or the Houston Astros in a postseason series I don't there's absolutely no chance and this is a situation where you start to wonder okay well Jim who else did they got and that is the big problem right now the reason why Kay Holmes is still going out there is because there's nobody else to do the job Yankee fans search your soul you know this Luke Weaver's not closing games Tommy keeley's not closing games Jake cousins isn't closing games there's no closer in this group of pitchers and that falls on Brian Cashman there was an opportunity at the deadline to go out and improve this Bullpen and they weren't willing to pay the price they traded for Mark lighter Jr Yankee fans were massively unimpressed and underwhelmed by that addition and rightfully so that could have been an opportunity to grab a closer or somebody else that could step in if clay Holmes struggled which he had been doing and continues to do so who's going to step in because this yankee team look I we all feel confident I shouldn't say we all I I feel confident that Juan stto will be in Pinstripes next year and for the next decade but what if he's not what if this is the only season with Juan stto you've got to win the World Series just because of that what if I mean look every year it's World Series or bus for the New York Yankees but this year there's so much more to that so who's closing let's run through let's try to figure this out would you let would you be confident with Jake cousins closing Tommy Keeley maybe getting a shot I think you have to try something in September just to see if you do have somebody else that has the mental fortitude to handle the ninth inning I I want to throw this out there and here's here's a crazy here's a crazy gim proposal for you none of these guys none of them cuz again I don't believe you've got closer makeup I don't believe you have closer stuff with these guys look who's coming back on Friday Luis heel this rotation you got Cole you got rodon you've paid Carlos rodon too much money for him to not start postseason games so you got two postseason starters right there Marcus strowman can start a postseason game now maybe you don't want Marcus strowman starting if you're down 02 but Marcus strowman can start you and give you a chance to win a postseason game Nester Cortez maybe there are some in a camp that says yes I believe in Neer and then there are others that don't Clark Schmidt I don't know if you feel good about that but Lis heel here's the point you have Cole you have rodon you have strowman there's three postseason starter right there and at that point after strowman you're going to turn this thing around you're going to head back to Cole you only need three postseason starters Luis heel in October may be best in that Bullpen now in a perfect world Luis heel is starting postseason games but with the situation that the Yankees have been presented who's got the swing and Miss stuff who has shown that they can be elite this year it's Luis heel moving him into the bullpen for September he's going to start on Friday I would love to see him transitioned into the bullpen moved into that closure roll give him a shot see what he's got that is where I'm at with this Yankee situation because I believe if they try to keep rolling out there with Clay Holmes that this season is going to end sooner than the Yankees or that fan base once because you can't trust this man and if he's blowing games in October it could cost the New York Yankees
