the big news from hot chips this week is that many companies from uh the big big names like Nvidia Intel AMD to uh smaller ones that you've probably heard of like cerebus and Gro uh um and of course uh arms suppliers like broadcom and Marvel they're all turning their attention toward inferencing and away from uh the big training now that doesn't mean that they're not going to be focusing on that market anymore it doesn't mean that Intel's going to lose focus Nvidia what it means is that AI is finally getting real and we really saw that in Spades at Hot Chip effectively every company that was presenting there is talking about how their processor can be used to power production applications not just in training giant models that's what we talked about on the rundown this week it's also what we're going to be talking about at AI field day on the tech Field Day podcast and others uh check it out I think there's a big change coming in the market
