hi I'm Chuck morz with bhead State football coach Jason Woodman well Jason after several months of working your team and getting things in the place that first ball game not just for the team but you itself got to be excited yeah we are we're excited to get out here uh we're excited to get the community out we're excited to get on the sidelines U you know for us as first-time staff on game day here we're just kind of anxious to see what it's like and uh I think more than anything we're we're anxious to see what our team's like on game day uh we've been with them since January but nothing's like a game and hopefully you know we're we're going to learn a lot about ourselves just as much as everybody else in the stands well the first thing is that you work on as an identity for your football team so what will fans look at when they look at a more head State football team who do you want them to be hopefully they're seeing a team that's disciplined that plays hard run the ball and does all little things right I think if you do that you have a chance to win football games and uh We've preached that for you know N9 months now and uh we're going to continue to preach that and hopefully our guys are ready to come out and do that well I'm sure you've already heard this question a number of times but I better ask it again how good do you think you can be uh right now we think we can be good enough to go one and0 each week and um that's all we're worried about right now is coming out prepared and playing hard against Central State and you know trying to do everything that we've been coached to do and uh we'll worry about that after after that well talk about Central State what do you expect from them and how do you counter punch I expect them to come in and be very athletic they have a returning quarterback that could give us some problems they have some dangerous skill guys they're going to you know if you're not ready you better you're going to you're going to have a long day with kind of containing some of those guys and uh very athletic on defense they'll run around fly to the ball and uh you know they possess some problems uh just skill-wise more than we'll probably see the rest of the year well last question as a head coach coaching this first game for your team what do you key in on us key on on us trying to make sure we don't you self-destruct or do things that hurt ourselves um we talk a lot about not necessarily going out and having to win the game but just don't go out and lose the game on your end of the on your side of the ball and uh that's the one thing we focused on since January we're going to continue to focus on that we're going to control we can control and that starts with us Jason thanks good luck thank you that's Morehead State football coach Jason Woodman I'm Chuck morz see you Thursday night
