Richard Lindenberg 112 GM Artist Video

good afternoon my name is Richard lindenberg and I'm living in Northern California in Marin County and I'm as everybody else is I'm thrilled to be included in this year's gold medal exhibition um my painting this year is called incandescent Cypress I'll show you a little bit it's kind of dark um that painting was something that that struck me when I was up in Walla on the Northern California coast uh it it's late in the afternoon at Sea Ranch right on the outskirts of the golf course and it was just one of the those moments where the light was there and then three minutes later it was gone I didn't paint it Plein Air I took a reference photo and then painted it back in the studio um but I love painting outside my I'll show you a bit of my studio here so you know most of my paintings I let from the field I let them sit on the wall a little bit and I look at them while I'm doing my paintings on doing my computer work then I have my easel over here that's a painting I'm doing for the granite group show that's coming up this June as well and you know my work varies uh primarily I'm a landscape painter I don't do City Urban Scapes much and uh there's just there's something fascinating about landscape to me I was trained as a large format View Camera photographer earlier in my life which gave me great Compass compositional skills so it's this has been a natural uh Evolution to come to painting which I started about 25 years ago in pastel now I've been in oils for 24 years um so I'm happy to be part of this show hope you get to see a little bit more of my work online and definitely get to the show take a look at these beautiful paintings I can't wait to see them thanks very much for watching foreign
