MLB Network | Mark Derosa reacts Houston Astros rally to beat Kansas City Royals 6-3

and when you change teams and leave a team like the Dodgers that has hopes in a World Series you want to go somewhere that's competing as me we've seen it the other way where players leave you know the Dodgers and go to teams that are struggling I wonder what kind of conversation that was cuz him and Freddy are so tight is Andrew fredman I mean I imagine Freddy was felt certain about but I mean J got what one year n million to go over to the Dodgers that was a big get for him yeah we got much more in that Astros Royals game including potentially serious wake it up America on Friday morning our MLB Network showcase game was in Philly to Citizens Bank with a crowd it looks like it's October every night all Braves early on Atlanta put up one in the second two outs one on and Orlando Aria does a job you know Michael Harris can score on that and the Braves take a one to nothing lead Matt Olson again with out I mean demolished Mommy no don't give me 450 stat cast do better that's 500 easy it's 512 hey and what did I text you after that here come the Braves and then what happened well knickknack Patty wac C said I got flat ironed hair and I'm taking the dog but first it was Brandon Marsh who put the fills on the board with one swing there was a lefty warming up yeah had bummer y Charlie Morton had thrown a 100 pitches to three-run shot from Brandon and the Phillies Trail 4 to3 Nick castios sees less fast balls than any other player in the game and perhaps perhaps yeah I think this is the reason why he said I was ready for it the second he saw in the in the at bat and he made him pay go ahead two-run shot to center field 19 on the year and that was a major one spoke with tough loss after the game well Nick it looks like all that extra BP paid off what you see on the one pitch in the seventh fast ball uh pretty middle middle cut yeah yeah you knew you had all that as soon as you made contact I had a good idea yeah we were talking earlier and you said you know this is just another game regardless of the importance of this series the fans were in it though how did this compare to some of those playoff atmospheres you're so familiar with pretty close I mean they brought the energy from the beginning uh they brought the energy from the beginning and uh stuck with us and it was a good comeback Victory hey that water felt lukewarm by the way was isn't that bad yeah the I usually smelted by the end of the game hey that's a good thing for you when you had that type of game tomorrow it's going to be Lopez and Suarez how do you maintain this momentum going into game two I don't know not think too much just keep the Vibes high and have fun that seems to be the key around here just chill yeah as best we can in Philly all right thank you so much Nick congratulations on the D thank you all right here's the deal Nick casianos absolutely rakes I think the interviews need to and no he puts the interviewer on the defensive it's like hey how how about your game what' you think of it would you think of it no no you don't get to ask me the question I'm this is Jason Hayward now the Astros had a two- nothing lead this is ridiculous uh first of all when Alex bregman argues about a ball and strike 99.9% of the time he's right I tried to read his lips he said a couple Choice words he said you're leaping terrible what I took you can't say you well you could say that's bleeping terrible but if I say you are that you got so everyone's very sensitive got it seventh inning Hunter Brown he could have got out of this inning but an error by Jeremy Peña that extends the inning and then he walks MJ Melendez so now they have to bring in Brian Abu you not happy about this no but this is a good ab Kyle Isel battled and battled and then he just plops one right down the line and the bases are cleared two unearned runs charged to Brown Royals have come back they lead three to two bottom of the eight here's where things got squirly Jer Diaz fing Lucas ERS tries to barehand it then he throws to Vinnie pasquantino collision at first pasquantino is hurt EG is hurt both guys had to leave both guys had X-rays and more importantly the Royals have lost the lead and then Zack deseno oh oh it was a spit take on a 3-2 slider draws the bases loaded walk and then Mauricio duon one of the Astros most valuable players comes through to add to Houston takes game one of a four game series in very thrilling fashion tough loss for the Royals but they've been resilient for sure so the postseason picture as we wake up on a Friday morning the Mariners are four back of the Astros they were off on Thursday and they're four and a half back of the Wild Card don't sleep on the Red Sox we keep trying to count them out they're just three and a half back lot to digest off that it really was first off I want I want to hold my hand up first off and say if you haven't locked in on the way Hunter Browns throwing the baseball I mean from inning one Robert Sinker the difference in his season implementing the Sinker was that it or is there that and something else yeah I definitely think there was compliments changing the Arsenal I also think it's confidence I also think his stuff is exploding his slider and I know he was incorporating some change UPS in there last night his slider is so tunneled off his heater is so vicious right now and you can see he's confident he's got an attitude if he's not getting a call from the home plate umpire he's like you he's no longer in intimidated by what's around him and he's singular singularly focused on competing and winning baseball games which is heat yeah watch I thinking of that Royals play I'm replaying it over and over in my mind those they're vital potentially worst case scenario and we'll let you know as we hear more you could say JJ pakola had the best trade deadline agree with guys he brought in no one's touched ersc yeah soct that is the beauty of not the beauty of the sport but that's the way you got to let a 162 play out cu you're sitting there last night you couldn't have been more confident as a Kansas City Royals fan an inning before they're down two nothing whack 3-2 after isbel hits the double and then this happens and I'm saying is that a SE season over the way I wanted to watch the way catero went out and checked on ERS checked on I wanted to see if he gave confidence or was it like I think pas 's reaction was more worrisome and Troublesome than ersc but again that's just pure speculation we wish them health and it makes you think of teams having overcome so many injuries when you think of the Astros and it's Garcia and oriti and it's Javier and Verlander and JP France and Tucker who am I missing I mean it's just on Presley on down the line and now they have the lead right here a four game lead them winning that ball game though is the exact example of why they've been as good as they they there's no Panic they go down 32 Jeremy Peña made a big error there's no Panic we're just hey let's get our ABS we're putting heat on you first and second it's constant it it's been a weird season that final inning The Outfield was Ben gaml Jake Meyers and Jason Hayward no one could have predicted that back in and the Des Zack zenzo I mean he he took a 3-2 there's a lot of young players in the game myself included when I was that young you want to be a hero so bad you're sanging uh Astros continue that Series against the Royals uh tonight in Houston okay let's go to Dodger Stadium for the Orioles and the Dodgers who knows this could be a World Series preview obviously a lot to be determined bottom of the second this is Chris Taylor it's been a struggle for him that has to feel good and it's one- nothing Los Angeles bottom of the 4th Austin Barnes just activated off the injured list he's playing through a fractured toe I mean I I stepped on a Lego a couple of that's painful couple years ago and I thought I was down for the count down for the count but you know what he comes through chops one over the third baseman he hustle into second there you go Austin Barnes is there anything worse middle of the night than stub in your toe honest next batter mookie bets brings in Barnes on a bip Lego all right fifth inning Bobby Miller has a five 5 nothing lead you know looked like he tweaked something know I was like oh god with Tyler glass now and then watching him cover first C Cowen gets cower gets him for a three-run homer cuts the lead to 53 by the way cser's 20 Homer tied with Jackson Merill for most among rookies this season seventh inning Blake tring facing gunar Henderson tough spot Bas is loaded two outs oh Mommy jeez Dodgers hang on to win for oh oh oh
