John Mario where that come from instincts I guess I mean it just some I don't really think about it it just happens last year the defense I know it's a different year different thing but for the first couple games it seems like the defense better you know fundamentally what is the difference between the team last year and this year uh last I can't really say too much on last year cuz I mean I didn't really you know look into it as much uh but this year I know it's a bunch of guys that came in you know knowing that the defense wasn't as good as it was last year so coming in just trying to make a name for oursel we know Memphis Memphis known for high powered offenses good running back good receivers you know so we try to come in and just be able to put some respect on the defensive name just just be able to just be able to know that we here too that Memphis not just one-sided but it's two-sided so if offense not hting defense going to hit defense not hting offense going to hit so just make it a two-headed monster as it as it should be frank obviously devastating news with the season what was your mindset going this was it any different prar you to be big Le out of that um I feel as though losing a guy like s like I said last week who's a major part of the offense um had a major role in the pass game and in the Run game um I feel as though me personally you can't replace that you know I don't feel no pressure or anything like that it's just you know the other guys in the room we play for him you know we wish we know that he wish that he can be out there and you know he was out at the hotel and everything with us and we felt his spirit and everything and you know just in the group chat today like we texted like you know we playing for him today so I feel like that what gave the running back room uh the jaw of energy that we had together to play for S um and you know we we bringing it for him every single week because we know that he wish that he could be out there and we do too you guys had in compared to last we just how much more confidence uh it's a week to we thing uh we can't get too high we can't get too low um we have to prepare even more going in the next week and the week after but our mindset just being one and0 every single week um shout out to BT though he number four all time um with the rushing touchdowns as of right now uh great showing uh Greg deer um you know he he has a lot of Flash and a lot of spark that we need in the offense um and just be able to come together as a unit we couldn't do anything without the uh Five Guys up front and just the the guys on the outside blocking everything so it it really was a team effort we can't put it on just one group you know defense play lights out today offense we did a we did our thing preparing for this week and you know showing what we can do on a day-to-day basis you uh it's a family most definitely uh we go by saying all in everybody all in so that's that's most difficult what it feels like everybody you know connect with each other everybody Good Vibes you know no no Envy or nothing like that everybody just want to get to one goal and that's shoot Conference Championship this question for both of you guys John Mar was in the building that that end zone I wonder if you guys saw him and if you dids Superstar build sh it was T most I need a picture he left too early oh God he left to I thought he was going to be uh be in the locker room with us but no most definitely te just have somebody come out there and just show support you know to get the Memphis crowd going that was that was love for sure you guys ah we didn't tell us nothing yeah a't let no nothing we we we found out just like y'all found out they showed him on a jumbo try he oh that's John Moran up there Terry hey last week every tell you going be just a power back but this week you s and what the per uh it's I I feel like it it's just the preparation for the week the game plan sometimes you know coach KY may need me to be the hammer you know what I'm saying in the back field sometimes you know I I got to make plays out in space either way I go on each week prepared to do with you know when my number is called every single opportunity um whether it's 20 cares the five carries you know I I have to go out there and perform at the highest level and that's what coach marks really um stamps in the running back room no matter what your role is no matter how many reps or the counts or anything like that whenever you get your time and your opportunity you you know what I'm saying make the most of and and play at a high level so um and that's just for everyone in the running back room to be honest for the last question Mario came out how much it opened up a lot uh I feel as though defense can just key one part of the offense we got rock we got um we got Kobe we got uh deir we got uh I can name everybody really you know what I'm saying so we cell we can't we can't really just you know key in on on one person at on the receiver side and we can't just stack the box cuz you see how we rotate the running backs I mean we got BT we got theier I mean even though K y'all haven't seen Ki a lot you know K is he's a really good back you know and um you know just being able to prepare every single week for all possible outcomes that that's what we do so just being able to go out there and compete at a high level is you know what I'm saying the the exciting part of the offense last question done just how you guys have played last week for State obviously next week how much confidence from uh it's a bunch of confidence uh you just grow build off what you did this week just going to going to next week confident but also levelheaded not too big you know not not thinking too much of yourself but just just stay humble to yourself stay truth to who you are and just know what type of Defense what type of Team type offense we have and just keeping it rolling
