Anderson yosar from locked on UCLA gentlemen how are you today ready for football let's do it I am very ready let's get started here and um I want to I want to get some predictions here because um these first games for a lot of our teams let's face it they might I don't want to say easy wins but they might be blowoff blowoff games I'm not blowoff games they may win rather easily in a lot of cases I know Ohio State Jay is a 49 and a half Point favorite so I'll start with you though Spencer in welcome to the Big 10 what is the first thing you're looking for this weekend taking on Idaho what are you going to get out of this game how Dylan Gabriel looks in a wilstein offense compared to Bo Knicks is it going to be the best measuring stick going up against the vandals no but is it the worst FCS program you could go up against also no they were in the FCS quarterfinals a season ago the Kibby Dome is kind of lit if people did not know but I I think that for Oregon that's the the biggest question I have offensively and I I expect Dylan Gabriel to have the best statistical season of his career I think he pushes for a 4,000 yard campaign accounts for probably around 40 touchdowns or so and keeps the interceptions under five and completes close to 70% of his passes and this will be the first step towards accomplishing those sorts of numbers to having that sort of season and how he looks in the offense compared to what it was last year with B Knicks you have a lot of the same players on the o line tight end room receiving room you have the same offensive coordinator same head coach you just have a different quarterback so how does that look I have confidence because I've seen everything else I haven't seen Dylan Gabriel yet really excited to see how he thrives all right you're predicting a win a blowout win yeah I I think that's going to be a uh comfortable Saturday afternoon at Aon all right very good let's talk some Michigan State football Matt what are you expecting what what is your prediction for weekend number one and by the way you guys seem to like to start on Friday nights Friday Night Lights almost every year absolutely to get it out of the way you actually get to enjoy all the other games on Saturday Sunday Monday it's like having the first game of March Madness you know you get the puckering feeling out right off the bat and now you can enjoy the actual weekend as got intended so what I'm predicting here is something that Michigan State fans haven't done for the better part of 11 months we're gonna smile we're gonna smile on Friday because I think it's going to be a good win here for Michigan State yes Florida Atlantic it's not the Florida atlan that we used to know wh Lane kein they were replacing a ton of players especially on that side of the ball nine new starters but I'm see they got some new faces too especially on that offensive line two strong transfers Tanner Miller Luke Newman need to see them perform against a pretty solid FAU front Again by and large not a fantastic team but still six returning starters to that front six of the owls so this is g to be a good test early on against a group of five team so I expect a smile a win and hopefully some good offensive line plays so we can continue to smile throughout the rest of the season season unlike last year all right Roman from lock down Huskies we're going have to stay up late for this one against Weber State what is your prediction uh I I think we're going to see a really well- coached team on both sides of the ball where the number one thing that I'm watching for with you know 20 new starters it's it's a a tired you know conversation point with Husky fans now where they just want to see the team on the field and I think with Jed fish's offense with Steve B defense we're going to see a really well coached squad on both sides of the ball that's going to score some points going to generate some turnover and be a lot better than than some people think all right Jacob from Lockdown hooers Florida National Kurt Signet is going to win his first game ever as head coach of the hooers right absolutely yes he will win the first game I want to see fans show up fans Buy in the same way that the entire university has done and yeah he's going to win game one I'm not going to say it's going to be easy or look pretty while they do it but they are going to win game one and possibly game two before they open up with CLA in the Big 10 all right and uh you know I know I think Curtis roor is going to start at quarterback by the way what's the skinny on that Tyler cherry and from Cent Grove The Freshman how's he coming along he's good he he's gonna be you know in the backup role and he's got a lot to learn the talent is there but you got a guy in Curtis Ro who's played a lot of college football who's been playing for going on six years now so he'll be the starter but Tyler Cherry could be the future here BL all right so Indiana Florida International and Michigan State with Florida Atlantic I I I told you I live in Florida I get those guys mixed up all the time and we got them in the same segment talking about it's crazy all right Buckey this is supposed to be the season uh I did a piece on lockdown Big 10 this week best team money can buy and I meant that as a compliment that used to indicate other things under the table but now the $20 million roster Jay a 49-point favorite in your game here this weekend what do you think against akan Ohio state will do what Ohio State should do and win big but I'm mainly watching two things one will Howard we know he can move with you move the ball with his legs has he improved as a passer because I think it's the one knock on his game and I'm watching that to see how he throws the ball against akam but also the Buckey's defense this defense is so good that they can open the season up with the shutout I don't know if that's going to happen but I want to see how hot the Buckey defense is maybe numerous three and outs there in the first quarter will Howard's going to be the starter at what point will we see little Julian saying in a 49 point blowout maybe probably my get my gut tells me the bugy will probably use three quarterbacks if the game goes like we think Howard starts but then I wouldn't be shocked if all right very good Zach UCLA welcome to the Big 10 as well um what are your thoughts on this uh this opening round game any predictions for you for the Bruins this weekend two things to look out for the offensive line can they protect Ethan garbers I'm not sure Hawaii will put up much of a fight but if they struggle uhoh Big 10 play will be pretty bad for the Bruins and then last year's strength the dline they're trying to replace that this year so can they generate pressure with their dline against the Hawaii Rainbow Warrior team that didn't look all too good against Delaware state in their opener you don't get to travel for that game do you I mean Hawaii's a sweet spot it's all right that that that complex is a little small for my takes compared to what it used to be in a loha stadium so but you know there's plenty of awesome trips can't wait for all the other ones later this year I mentioned this earlier last week in our big 10 preview you got Jacob it Indiana I'm an Indiana gr and we're we're counting this as a Rose Bowl appearance in week three against UCLA when Indiana comes yeah that counts hey real quick uh you know I haven't had a chance to talk to you before uh how big of a blow is it losing your uh defensive coordinator the USC across town that was pretty brutal I think one of the good things Chip Kelly was able to do before he left was find Danon ly and then he left Dan left and everybody thinks everything's going crazy and K is an experienced somewhat defensive coordinator there are some talented linebackers and with with iaka Malloy being in the room last year I think that'll be fine but we'll only find out week one and the weeks Beyond to how big of a loss it is or is not well I can't wait we get these games going and uh a lot of teams to keep track of in the Big 10 we're going to take a deeper look into Penn State they may have a tough game against West Virginia certainly a respectable opponent and a road game coming up and can USC start its Big 10 uh play even though it's taking on an SEC team possible we've added Trent Condon from locked on Hawkeyes and we've got Zack SEO from locked on nitty Lions Um Zack we'll talk about the nitty Lions first big game on the road West Virginia I think this is a respectable opponent on the road which may make it a little tougher any concern on your part for this game not a concern that Penn State wouldn't win I think West Virginia is a respectable opponent uh they're picked to contend for the Big 12 Conference do I think they West Virginia can make this close yeah absolutely but as far as Penn State losing this game being on upset alert not really no all right and how's how's Drew Aller looking everything good so far he look he had a great year last year uh it could be better I think uh more aggressive what do you see we see a confident Drew all a more confident drewal because that was really the issue he has the arm Talent uh pretty good decision maker from what we see over here again only two interceptions and had one and you look at what Pro Football Focus said about how you know turnover turnover worthy throws B Nicks Spencer from locked on Ducks would appreciate that b Knicks was number one in that category Drew Aller was number two in terms of the least turnover worthy throws so Drew Aller just needed I think a little more confidence and you have a coordinator to do that with Andy cotal Nikki and he's going to run the football a little more too so I think that's just going to help at least keep defenses honest with Drew Aller the Dual threat quarterback if you can believe that Trent cond from Lockdown hawy every time I see you're in a car you always on a go you're going the extra mile literally to be on this program thank you very much for doing that and by the way good Acoustics inside a car right yeah I think so I think we're in good shape here and now we're just uh awaiting week one minus Kirk Fenson for the first time since 1978 I was negative -2 at the time neither Hayden fry or Kirk ference will be on the sideline this weekend you know and it's very interesting uh because we all as a conference we all saw what happened to Michigan three games beginning of the season three games end of the season there's still stuff going on and Iowa was like they were informed of an infraction Kirk ference got in front of a microphone the next day apologize said it won't happen again gonna sit out game one it's over it's it's quite different isn't it it absolutely is because there's an actual adult here it's not somebody making excuses is it's not somebody that is sitting there and whining and complaining it is a real adult in the room in Kirk ference that made a mistake admitted it and then went out and actually served the penalty not like those idiots up in Michigan not like the other people it is somebody that actually did the thing that you're supposed to do yes I'm talking to the Wolverine fans out there let mat Spartans you're enjoying this a little too much aren't you no this is no when someone's preaching the truth you can only stand up and clap that's that's really all we got but no I it was I was almost confused I was like I thought you just scream cheeseburger at each other until the suspension is even greater than what it was going to be originally and then you just deny that anything even happened after the fact that's what I read in the handbook so I don't know what c you guys got down there but I kind of like the speed of that one Trent so it's great that this it's great that this came up I literally just got done watching the Conor stallions documentary fascinating watch fascinating watch from lock down Wolverines got ton of air time he was great yes he did it was great that was that was fabulous that was another well done all right uh Trent give me a prediction though Illinois State what kind of game do we just automatically take the under on all Iowa games again this year what do you predict for this weekend oh absolutely yeah I mean it's a lock of the century it was the lock of the last eight games and though we get a somewhat healthy Kate mamir coming back after his injury play season a year ago yeah the under is the play this defense is going to be elite once again for the offense is going to have issues and it is going to be a coasting into 27 to3 type of Victory 24 nothing maybe 313 but yeah the under is always the play in this one I think most importantly does Kade mcir look close to 100% and not only that trying to shake off the rust after basically losing the last two injury two seasons because of injury how does he bounce back and how does he look on Saturday I thought real quick I thought brandan Sullivan left North Northwestern after the spring game was a surprise to everybody and you guys needed another quarterback I think he went in there with the Mind thinking I might be able to win the starting job this year even though he's got two years of Eligibility and everybody's thinking next year what do you think is Brendan Sullivan good enough to take that job away I I think he could be if M really does struggle and the rust is still there here's the thing that I believe about this if I was going to hit the heights of contending for a college football playoff birth you know get to a 10 and two type of season I believe Kade mcir is the guy that can get there vvan is a nice quarterback and he can get them to an eight and4 type of season if they're going to hit those Heights though they need Kade mcam to be that quarterback to be the guy that we saw three years ago at Michigan that's the only way Iowa is going to be a double digit win team I want to get all your predictions around Robin style if you will Sunday night um the Big 10 is represented by USC it still sounds a little weird to say going to take on LSU Big 10 SEC match up on national TV uh Zack locked on you CLA you maybe know USC the best out of the bunch of us how is that game going to go I personally I'm I'm predicting a shootout neither of them play much defense I think this gonna be a highs scoring game but who wins it what do you think well Linc andn Riley finally found a defensive coordinator to stick maybe it'll do something both teams I think changing quarterbacks which quarterback is more week one ready I really don't want to choose USC I might go with them week one against everything we'll go 2821 and just a piece and teams across down all right all right let me pop up to Spencer since you also represent the old pack 12 guard now in the Big 10 USC versus LSU what do you think I got the Trojans I I've liked the Trojans for a while oddly similar teams here third-year high-profile head coaches who came from Big schools changing from Heisman winning quarterbacks change your defensive staff because it was a complete mess but it still should be positive offensive situations in both Baton Rouge and Los Angeles I I've got the Trojans winning this game I think is a 3428 Affair and I I think that Lincoln Riley gets maybe the biggest win that he can get early in the year re that he could reasonably get early in the year to Silence the Critics 382 24 that's uh that's a 3428 3428 oh it's still a defensive battle it's a slugfest Zach Seiko uh you're neutral on this uh give me opinion who do you think wins that game Sunday night I mean neutral but Penn State does play USC at some point so this is a good opportunity to at least get an early scouting report of just how they handle a brand new opponent in this case uh I I like a shootout because you have Miller Moss versus Garrett NSM and you have two very offensive heavy teams and LSU just kind of keeps reloading at wide receiver so I will take the Tigers in this case because I think deant and ly's defense won't settle in until the middle of the Season there I'll go 3835 LSU over USC all right Trent how about a prediction from the Hawkeyes on the Sunday night game well I went over to my FanDuel account and I threw a couple bucks down the last word what do you predict Sunday defensive deadlock I think it's going to be LSU 38 USC 31 uh look what I like about LSU They're bringing back four starting offensive linemen like that just pays dividends especially early in college football we all saw that in week zero with Georgia Tech my God they had their way with Florida State so LSU yeah we all know that it's a guns of Blazing in huskies and Jay Stevens from lockon Buckey rejoining us here and um Roman Let's uh let's talk a little bit more about the Washington huskys you know when we spoke last week I still think you guys are like the mystery team and uh you know jedf fish he comes in here um you know in Arizona he took over a team that was broken built him and left the cupboard full there's they're a ranked team this year what do he left behind and um that's I guess that's his reputation that's what's appealing to Washington is he can come in there and it's hard to say rebuild a team that went to a national championship last year but they are kind of starting over yeah that that's one of the most interesting things about this team Craig where the more I look at it it's there are so many new starters that are coming in Washington fans like I said a little earlier are tired of the whole you know 20 new starters on this on this roster sort of thing but when you look around this is a really really exciting team in a lot of different ways when you look at some of the guys that Jed fish brought with him whether it be running back Jonah Coleman quarterback efficience pryck there are some really talented players all over this roster and I think one of the most important things when you think about what Jed fish can do for a program you think about the coaching staff that he brought with him where he brought seven of his assistants from Arizona he hired two of the remaining three positions he needed to fill from the New England Patriots including defensive coordinator Steve belich and the last guy he hired was Robert Balo who was Dick sav's linebacker coach last year so he's put together a really fun coaching staff that is in a really great position to in the first year in the Big 10 just it's it's it still is weird to say rebuild but rebuild this roster since you were in the Pack 12 give me your assessment of Southern Cal and how you think they'll do on national TV against LSU on Sunday I'm a huge Zachariah Branch fan I love watching that kid play I but I'm also a really big fan of what this LSU offense is going to be able to do I I do have the the Trojans dropping that game give me give me 3128 just to differ a little bit on on what Spencer's doing up there but I I think that's going to be a really fun game I think we're we're going to see a really big year from Zachariah branch and I think he he could lead the whole nation receptions if I'm being really honest Jay Stevens from Lockdown Buckeyes the expectations this year are suffocating I think for Ryan day I just saw quote from Cardell Jones former quarterback former National Champion former Urban Meyer guy and he's like behind one of the two major nil collectives for Ohio State he he flat out said hey we're not just gonna be happy with just beating Michigan or getting to a big 10 Championship or even getting to the playoffs we have to win it all that that's a money guy now a former player who's behind the money the the nil money behind this roster have to win it all that is a that's threading the needle on expectations there at Ohio State yeah they're putting a lot of pressure on him Cardell Jones I see the remember the quot he actually had I didn't come here to play no school it's true you go there to play football in Ohio State the coaches are saying it the players are saying it the money's behind it it's now going out there and winning do we actually think Ohio State's going to be able to do that this year and I'm an Ohio State person I have my own thoughts about maybe may not be able to do it but also if they get the quarterback right Ohio State's in a great shot with the roster right now to win it all this year well it is uh it certainly is high expectations I didn't know if it was more of excitement or like a like a nervous energy behind the scene but it's certainly the elephant in the room each and every week I'll take you outside of your game against akan uh we've been talking a lot about a couple other big games in the Big 10 USC and LSU and of course Penn State on the road against West Virginia any predictions by you and any thoughts this weekend I'm going with Pinn State I would feel a little weird if I went West Virginia I know morgantown's going to be rocking and I know it's going to be a fun atmosphere there but I think Penn State's too good and if Drew Aller wants to kind of change a narrative about him this is the time to do it you can start week one let's go out there and win that game Jacob uh from Lockdown hoers how about your thoughts as we look at some of the other uh big boys on Sunday night how about your predictions for th those two games I just mentioned Penn State at West Virginia and of course uh USC and LSU well first of all I want to make sure that everybody knows we say that in Bloomington to that it's Championship or bus this year so we're in the same boat as Columbus just so everybody knows um no on those two games and particular I think Penn State if they don't show up and play their best they can lose I think West Virginia is sneaky talented sneaky good and in a conference that a lot of people are going to kind of write off this year but I think pin state will get the job done and then I'm taking LSU I'm going to take Garrett nus me and LSU to uh to beat USC on that Sunday night I think it'll be not quite a 6560 shootout but it's not going to be in the teens either I'll take LSU uh we'll say 3120 LSU over USC I just think they got a little bit more Talent than than USC does so give me yeah all right all right that's right Spencer mark it down that's a selection uh Spencer on the lock on Ducks um I already asked you about this Southern Cal game how about West Virginia uh hosting Penn State is it going to be any difficulty for Penn State being a road game for them well I hope nobody looks at the point spread of Penn State minus 8 and a half and thinks well no chance at an upset there we had a 10 and a half Point underdog win outright in week zero in Georgia Tech could we see that again no I I don't think so I love this Penn State team I love what they have coming back and what they have brought in I know they lost both coordinators but one think was uh by by choice and one of course was not but I like the move that they made to bring in Tom Allen someone who Jacob is very familiar with on the defensive side of the football Andy Co Andy cootel Nikki as the offensive coordinator with Drew Aller it doesn't need to be Kansas level offense from last year it just needs to be a little bit more capable against the big boys I like Penn State I think they're going 11-1 this year and I think they're winning big in Morgantown all right great job guys looking forward to the season looking
