If we clearly see boundaries of Paraguay They are made up of rivers Parana river flows in the east side of Paraguay and it create an amazing Triple frontier, a famous tri border area along the junction of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay The other one is the Paraguay river which essentially bisects the country in the middle and is the motivation behind the name of the country. The western part of Paraguay river is called GRAN CHACO REGION which is relatively flat, drier most boring part of country and it is the part won from Bolivia in the CHACO WAR and the eastern part is called Paranena region.
