One of the biggest attractions for younger fans at the Little League World Series is sliding down the famous Big Hill. It's a fan favorite for our news. Watch 16 Team 2 news. Watch 16's Chris Keating is live to tell us all about this longstanding tradition and we saw some kids going down yesterday. Chris and they were quite muddy. Ohh, they were filthy. But the conditions aren't like that today, Lisa. They're kind of a bit more dry, and this week we've shown you guys plenty of video of people going up and down this hill. Today we wanted to capture what is so special about this iconic hill. There are many traditions at the Little League World Series. Some folks enjoy trading pins, others enjoy a game of catch, but one of the most iconic traditions is sliding down the hill overlooking Lombardi Stadium. It's really fun. It's my first time ever doing it, so I've always seen on TV and I've always wanted to do it my first time doing. It's a lot of fun. It's really fun going down it. Yeah, it's really kind of fast. Yeah, Lucia Gustafson from Connecticut came prepared. She made her own sled out of cardboard. She even named it the Lucia. Mobile it's been really fun, but I've still I've been falling over a bunch and. And it's it's not really going that well, but I'm just gonna keep trying to keep going down the hill. The hill is not just for smaller kids. 17 year old Alexandria Chilson is enjoying the hill with her cousin. This is their first time here, my little cousins, so they've been talking about the hill all week so I'm gonna try to help them have some fun. It is the Negandhi brothers, first time at the Little League World Series. They have been in South Williamsport all week, but they finally got to go down the hill today and Monday. Our dad didn't want us to because we were going to be drenched in mud. He said this this today we can well I don't want to get too muddy, but because then I have to go wash off but I'll go down it sometime with the cardboard. Speaking of mud, we have seen plenty of it. Rain showers throughout the week have made for some interesting conditions. You should definitely wear something very like that. You probably wouldn't wear again because you're going to get very dirty on this hill. And I'm with my buddy Hudson from Westchester, PA right. That's where you're from. So, Hudson, you've been going up and down this hill all day. What are the conditions? Like fez. But it could be faster. It could be faster. OK, so what's the perfect technique for going down the hill? I just need a big board or something, like, around it and let it fly. You're gonna you're gonna send it right now, right? Yeah. You gonna do it for us, right? Look at that head first. Perfect technique all the way down the hill. I couldn't have done that better myself, Lisa. Look at that. That's not as muddy as it was yesterday, though, where I'm still waiting on you, Lisa, to come down here and come down the hill. When you do that, you're gonna be waiting for a while, Chris. For a while. But that kid, he did really good. He had a running start. I think he planned it that way. Alright, Chris, thanks so much for that. I'm surprised, Chris.
