you're watching the TC MMA podcast in an earlier fight in the prelims this is one that interests me it's a lightweight fight you got vaslav borchev who has had some ups and downs taking on James yanta who's a guy you know capable of winning at any given time the guy's 14 and three from Peru so let's get into this one right now in the lightweight division at UFC Vegas 96 you got vatas slav AKA a Slava forev taking on James yop so lightweight division always a great division to try to make predictions because it's tough Slava comes in at seven- four yop 14-3 Russia vers Peru yop is one inch taller at 6 feet he's 25 Slava is 32 uh yop 4 inch reach Advantage both guys stand right-handed both guys right around five significant strikes per minute so pretty even there and they're not trying to get Downs it doesn't appear now borchev is uh slowed down a little bit over the last two had a draw against sadov lost to chase Hooper that's a tough one uh by submission beat mahash by KO so he still possesses the KO power but it just depends on the opponent yon top will give him the opportunity because he's going to strike he was submitted by uh Chris Padilla last time out and before that beat Malik Lewis at the contender Series so you know it's no more like borchev is the new guy now he's more of the veteran and yop is like the new guy and you know he came in to the UFC what 14- two borchev has been struggling but he's got experience now I just got to take borchev in this one I think again you can't overestimate that he's what had six seven eight fights now in the UFC and yop was just fighting in his third fight it's a lightweight division fight experiences everything in this Division I like borchev to get the job done uh hopefully by KO but at least by decision on the feet to move to 8 and four lightweight division UFC Vegas 96 and that's a tough one because I'm not super confident in Bev I mean I'm just not now when he wins it's it looks exciting he does the little Slava dance and all this and you're like who this guy could be something then the next fight he looks terrible so you just don't know I mean this is going to I wouldn't be surprised if yop wins so not totally solidified in that pick but we got to make the pick so we go with Bor that's the way it goes fight end of the night last fighter call UFC at its height bringing that Thunder with all his might saying step want to fight huh hold up think twice Gladiator assassin Reckless no abandoned walk through that cage he leave your ass stranding
